Sometimes we might take all these TH-cam talks by various monks for granted...imagine years ago having to go to a library where there probably would not be books on Buddhism..we are very fortunate to have them and they are free to us especially if we are poor...thankyou.

I adore and love Ajahn Brahm. I've been listening to his talks for over 2 years now. He's become the air of my life. His words and beautiful messages. He's so incredible. He's words have lifted me up from the deepest mud I'd found myself in. I'm moving to Australia, coincidentally, and my dream is to meet Ajahn Brahm in person💗🙏🏻

Thanks Ajahn. "Smaller house less things" this is the opposite to what we've been told by society for years. Are we any happier with more? Especially after the thrill of buying has passed. Sadhu, sadhu, sadhu!

I have for years and years feel like Buddhism is a path I should follow even from a young child. I've been researching and learning to meditate. Suddenly I realise I have too many things.. Time to remove and donate. I feel cluttered. Sorry I'm rubbish at explaining myself.

I just did the same. Gave aeay my business and most possessions. My meditation has vastly improved but I still struggle with viewing things given up as lost. Even though I know deep down they were never mine to begin with

I lost my daughter on 13th April 2020 aged 43. I am finding it difficult knowing I won't see her again. can we hear from our loved ones once they have passed.xx

I don't know what they're answer will be. But in my time lucid dreaming , my experience is yes, you can still speak to them in dreams and in waking life. They are In a different form but they are always still in existence.
Time isn't real as well, so those moments you have with loved ones are with you at any one time and at all times. Though I do no know how to prove it or willingly access them yet.

Did you think that in this life, this is the first time that you’ve known or seen your daughter? The Buddha intimated that we have lived many many countless lives before. Our relationships now were very different from before. Always changing with new roles. Now daughter, but before that a sister or a mother or a father or friend. And before that, a lover, an enemy..who knows. What is consistent is that it is an almost endless cycle of suffering. This is not the first time you've shed tears for those that you've loved. The Buddha said that we each have cried tears the sum of which is greater than the oceans.
But if you want to see her again then all you have to do is to wish it and if you have the benefits of good karma behind you (kindness, generosity, honesty) then it will happen! You will see her in the face of someone you have never seen or never took serious notice before. Just around the corner of an unpretentious place in an unexpected time. The universe fulfills all wishes....eventually based on dependent origination. Or as I think of it, ‘opportunistic karma’. The real question is will you ever recognize her or him when you finally meet each other. This is where being honest and refraining from telling lies throughout one’s life helps. People who loves Truth and abides in it would be guided to see through the facade of someone's new incarnation. But the karma of lying is the opposite. It will prevent one from noticing even if the universe puts a giant neon sign up on the other person’s head that says ‘HERE IS YOUR WISH’!
I am truly sorry for your loss. A parent should never see their children die before they do. There’s an unspeakable sadness to such an event. This reminds me of a song:
There are moments that the words don't reach
There is suffering too terrible to name
You hold your child as tight as you can
      And push away the unimaginable
      - Its Quiet Uptown (Hamilton)
May you be free from sorrow. May you be free from stress. May you understand your suffering, see the causes of your suffering and delight upon knowing that there is an end to your suffering. Finally, may the 3 Gems of the Buddha, Dharma and Sangha show you the way.
