    About Sri Ramana Maharshi:
Bhagavan Sri Ramana Maharshi (1879 - 1950) was a great sage and enlightened guru who lived in Tiruvannamalai, near the holy hill Arunachala in south India. He went there shortly after his unexpected, spontaneous and sudden enlightenment, at the young age of 16. He lived there until his Mahasamadhi (final conscious release from the body at death) on April 14, 1950, at the age of 71. Dr. Carl G. Jung, the world famous psychologist, once said of him: “In all of India, he is the whitest spot in a white space.”. Sri Ramana Maharshi is one of the most renowned spiritual gurus of India.
    About Frank Humphreys:
Frank Humphreys (1890 - 1975) or Francis Henry Humphreys was born in London. His father was a struggling physician; his mother was interested in the occult and practiced fortune-telling, table-turning, second sight and later, Spiritualism. So Frank Humphreys was 21 years old in 1911, when he came to India and met his spiritual master - Bhagavan Sri Ramana Maharshi. He was the first western disciple of Bhagavan. He served in the police force in India from 1911 to 1919, after which he seems to have returned to England. He died in 1975 in South Africa, as a Catholic religious, a Dominican friar.
    About V. Ganesan:
    V. Ganesan is the grandnephew of Sri Ramana Maharshi and the former general manager of Ramanasramam. He also served as editor of the ashram’s official magazine, Mountain Path, for many years. Born in 1936, up to the age of 14 years old, Ganesan grew up in the presence and proximity of Bhagavan Sri Ramana Maharshi. His sacred memory of the Great Master is rich in its content; and, even at that tender age he could see Sri Ramana as the greatest compassionate human being. There are the objects and the knowns. There is the act of knowing. But just be the knower which is that indescribable empty silent awareness.

Ahem... I am surprised to learn that Mr Humphreys after becoming aware of soo much still became attached to a Religion...? There is a saying, "In Honour of Shiva" "Be Attached to Him, Who is Without Attachment, Hold onto That Attachment, Then Only Then Will You Be Able To Leave All Other Attachments...Saint Thirahuvar. As a very enlighten being once said to me..." Let Go Of What, U Haven't Got." Hah.....What else is there to hold onto except baggage...! Hahaa
