i cant say ive ever used corn, but ive used leaves, rocks and sticks and you be surprised at how well it works. ive hiked over 10k miles across the USA, and have spent combined over 400 days camping, so needless to say ive crapped in the woods a lot. in modern times the best method for outdoor pooing is a bidet which is just a water squirt bottle, then use a few pieces of TP, or a bandana to dry off, then wash it later obviously. there is a wonderful plant called the mullen plant and its slightly fuzzy and its the best natural TP, its other name is cowboy TP. so ive never used corn but it would probably work decently.

Another thing they used to do to get rid of headaches was to create a small hole in the skull. This was because they believed headaches were caused by a demon inside and the hole would create an escape for that demon.
