This is a great set of sockets. When it comes to tools, I like them to be quality and last. Even though 1/4th and 3/8th would probably do for most jobs, it's good to have a 1/2 when you need it. As long as you have the room to work in, the 1/2 is my go to. Also it's nice to have an impact rated set even if you don't need it, because you have it when you need it and you know they're sturdy. I like the black coating on these, not a fan of shiny chrome anything. I do think the cases are nice, not generally a fan of yellow and black, but they're tools that will be used and then stored, not set on a table as decor. The ability to snap different sets together into one box is nice, even though I'll probably never need it, they do sell a lot of extra attachments in the same style, so that can be useful. For those interested, these tools are made in Taiwan.
Another quality review, also appreciated the mini teardown. At this price and with a lifetime warranty I am going to have pick up a set for the garage.
I got the 3/8's set. Haven't really used it yet, but I like the feel of everything. I got rid of the case, though - it's well-made, but too big. I put the sockets on a couple of magnetic strips and hung them on the outside of my tool box.
here is my SB+D price-performance plan. tools that l use every now and then but not often, l go black+decker. for tools that l use frequently l go with porter cable. and l go with dewalt drill bits and sockets.
They skip 20mm and 23mm...but those equate to 3/4 and 7/8, which are included in the set. That's why tool sets have missing sizes...missing ones typically have an equivalent wrench/socket in the other measurement format. Saves space and weight in the sets.
so you had the wrong socket for the job ...and you blame the socket set? If I had a 10mm wrench but needed a 12mm ..should I blame the 10 mm ..or get a 12mm like I needed??
Well written. Nothing repeated. Everything I need and want to know. Real pro delivery. You are great. Subscribed.
Thank you James. We strive to deliver the important information.

Tim, thanks so much for the positive feedback. You are correct about the price and warranty, this is hard to beat.
"stick around for a second" I just started watching the video!
Federer2001 a little cheesy, huh!?

We did the same with the cases. Just put the sockets on rails and placed them in our toolbox.
That 's a nice set may have to get a set for the pickup
This is definitely a great set for a pickup or personal vehicle, just slide it under the seat.
I got mine and it’s a good tool to have
Awesome, so glad it works for you. Thanks for watching.
A good tool video , thanks.
👍
i dont like that yellow exterior case color but i do like that you can lock and stack cases and also that the sockets and ratchet are heavy duty.
👍
What else do they stack on i can't find anything
The ratchet pawl looks like mim metal and not heat treated. Confirm?
I'm not really sure. I'll have to take a closer look.
@@Shoptoolreviews Put a file to one corner of it.
What size is the drill adapter? Is it like a reduction from 1/2 to 3/8 or something like that?
1/4 hex key to 1/2 socket
No 10mm? 😩

sounds like a great plan if it works for you. consumer level for the rarely used tools and pro level for tools used all the time.
Why are two sockets so rusty?
I used some them on some rusty bolts and lug nuts.
And pressed
Thanks for watching and for commenting.
If only they didn’t skip sizes. I’ll never buy another set that skips.
We know what you mean. Very frustrating, and it's a poor way to save money. Thanks for watching.
I feel it’s a struggle to find complete sets these days it’s terrible

Tekton for no skip sizes.
I tried to take off lug nut from my 1500 Silverado with impact and adapter 22mm and it was only able to struggle to take 1 off.
Went to get me a deep well socket from local auto parts store inatead

Made in China?
Jay, thanks for the comment. No, they are not made in China, they are made in Taiwan.
Same thing
No it's not. Chinese is almost always junk.
Why do you talk so loud are you scared of something????
