My name is jeff
3 has been through a whole lot for in 2 years. They went from being a normal squid playing turf to an agent in less than a day, they've been tossed into a war, shot at, had to face the king of octarians in a short time, when they finally get a vacation they're attacked and have to go find their captain in an underground facility. When they find him, they find him nearly ground up with another agent and free them while getting knocked out in the process, get their brain Hijacked while they're out cold (Meaning they were defenseless and couldn't do anything to stop it.), forced to try and kill the other agent and in the end after they're finally free with the captain and agent 8 they have to get used to living a normal life, not being able to tell anyone what they did or how they saved their people.
They are scarred for life mentally and physically and there is nothing they can do or say to fix that, though knowing they have someone there who knows what it's like (Agent 8), can possibly help them heal.
There's also the fact that for two years she had to come to terms that not all octolings are bad, for years it was Splat them or die, kill or be killed. While the captain can separate them since he's an adult and has had octolings friends (at least probably) while 3 is just a kid who didn't even know octolings lived so close to her home

Its OK, Agent 3. You're not the only one who has scars. I got scars on my face like you. They burn my face but I will still fight the pain. I just accepted the fate I've been through these scars on my face. I never give up and stand strong. You inklings have these virtues:

U do know that 8 name comes from subject number 10008 .
For Capt'n Cuttlefish was that to long and so he called 8 uhm yea 8.

I have friends who I was so close to.
We were like 3 and 8.
But half of them are gone. I can’t contact them.

Remember this, scars are proof of what you've been through. Scars are a part of life. Everyone who lived at least had one or more scars, and if you never had a scar before, then you never lived. Never be ashamed of your scars because they show the world what you've been through and how you're gonna keep going through until everyone finds their paradise.
