Kian Kafai That’s not going to happen. Military commanders would never follow such orders, and it’s not like the Democrats would be barricaded in the Capitol. Even if Trump were to somehow postpone the election (which he doesn’t have the power to do), his term, and Pence’s, ends at 12 Noon, January 20, 2021. If the new Congress is in session, House Speaker (likely Nancy Pelosi) would become acting President. If the Congressional elections are “in the air”, then the only elected officials in office would be the 2/3 of the Senate not up for re-election this year. Among those Senators, the Democrats have the majority, and thus Senator Patrick Leahy, (D) Vermont, would be the likely Senate President pro tempore, and would become the acting President. Trump could still pull out a win, though that is getting less and less likely. But he cannot change the fact that his term ends on January 20, 2021, at exactly 12 Noon, whether or not a successor has been sworn in. As for the military, since you wrote your post, Trump’s contemptuous comments about those who serve, and especially those who have died, been wounded, or been captured, being “suckers” and “losers”, while extremely offensive to all Americans, is especially offensive to all who serve, and all who HAVE served this nation in the Armed Forces. So it’s extremely unlikely that anyone in the military wants to see Donald Trump be elected, and most would probably welcome the opportunity to physically eject him from the White House in the highly unlikely event that this should be necessary.

He was a disaster for Russia and sold the entire country to the Jewish oligarchs who robbed all the Russian people. That’s why he was hated. His statue in Russia requires 24 hour police protection.
Meanwhile the Russian people were going through what is equitable to the Great Depression because of how disastrous the government transition went. I remember growing up there in the 90s, my parents were both dirt poor, as were most, struggling to get by with all the basic things. And they kept telling stories of how comfortable life used to be. The Soviet Union had to end, but what followed, including these drunk puppets of the corruption machine, was far worse.
@@eminem2996 for one, it was a totalitarian regieme that took away basic human freedoms from Russians and started a catastrophic series of events aimed at seizing control over all means of production which in turn have caused my country to lose enormous amounts if capital wealth and overall made it incompitent compared to the west in the long run, and prone to corruption, e ident by the Putinist regieme now, thus ussr wasn't built to last - it was meant only as a starting point, which was supposed to conquer all of the civilization and turn it communist, since the Bolsheviks knew very well that communism within a state is not a good framework. I personally don't blame Yeltsin for that, imo he did all he could to repair the country after what the communists have done to it, he was just too late. And about the 90s crisis - it wasn't even as bad as the Stalinist regieme, which caused my family, who were "kulaks" to lose all their property, and who could barely make a living because of commues robbing them of everything they worked so hard for, just to give it away to the city drunks and hobos. Russians who think differently imo are either edgy umeducated chilren or have a weirr bootlicking kink.
@@bakirtzis6044I also live in Russia. You realise that the Russian empire was literally a backwater of Europe right? It wasn't industrialised until after the revolution, and it had the worst living conditions in Europe. In central Russia at the time, only 20% of the population was literate. The tsar and his family were autocratic bastards who kept all the money for themselves, while ordinary workers and peasants starved to death. The "kulaks" as you said your family were, were wealthy land owning farmers who refused to grow enough grain to support Russians during the war. This is the reason Stalin built "gulags", which are basically prisons. All this while having a small percentage of their population in the gulags. And the tsar was also stupid because while his citizens were starving, he exported grain to other countries. The revolution brought improved working conditions, higher life expectancy over the years, eradicated the smallpox at the time, and over the years, absolutely eradicated poverty. (www.northstarcompass.org/nsc1212/ussr.htm). You also said that USSR took away basic freedoms? What freedoms? So having the highest doctor-to-patient ratio in the world is bad? Being the first country in the world to go from an agrarian backwater of Europe to a superpower that made the US tremble in under 30 years, all while improving every single aspect of human life better for its citizens, launching the first space shuttle and cosmonaut, introducing the first video game, is that also "an abuse of human rights"? The USSR had the best healthcare in the world, and by 1990, had a human development index of 0.92 (hdr.undp.org/sites/default/files/reports/219/hdr_1990_en_complete_nostats.pdf) (highest score for HDI is 1), by comparison the USA during the same time had an HDI of 0.865 (hdr.undp.org/sites/default/files/Country-Profiles/USA.pdf), which was *lower* than the USSR. Another point worth mentioning is that the USSR lost 20million+ people during the war, which was 13% of its population. Many of their major cities and factories were also destroyed, and despite this, still managed to be one of the best countries to live in at the turn of the century. After looking at all of this, how can you say that the USSR had no rights? They had an almost equal amount of women representing parliament, so that kills the claim that "there was no feminism". You also mentioned something about Stalin and his period, which you said your family lost everything because they "worked hard"? Well for one, Stalin had a series of 5 year plans to industrialise Russia, and this proved successful as seen in the WW2 victory. During his time he also launched healthcare and education campaigns, and by 1950, the life expectancy was 50 years (was impacted by ww2, and before Stalin's reign it was about 20-30 years). You also said your family was dirt poor, yet you support the Capitalist system. Maybe you were raised outside of Russia in some other rich country. Yeltsin was nothing but a drunk buffoon who sold his country to the west. Also in the 1991 referendum more than 75% of Russians voted to preserve some aspects of the USSR (imgur.com/a/oh1Mf). And I'm not sure of it was 1993 or 1996, but one of those years during the election, 92% of people voted for the Communist Party, so your claim of communism being oppressive is just fake news. Also Stalin has a very high approval rating in Russia (www.themoscowtimes.com/2019/04/16/stalins-approval-rating-among-russians-hits-record-high-poll-a65245). If you think I missed anything out, let me know.

Despite your opinion, people didn't had really high hopes. Everyone knew that it's not gonna be easy to transfer from communism to capitalism. But Yeltsin's reforms, in general, failed to achieve proper transition and in some cases made it even worse.

Eltsin was the most loved russian president outside of Russia. President Clinton was his friend.
But Eltsin was disaster for Russia. He was a president of killers and thiefs. Tens of thousands of people died of hunger in the country with with the largest area of fertile soils.
Scientists, teachers, engineers, artists were forced to become traveling salesmen in order to survive.
The Snickers bar was a holiday treat and was shared in pieces among family members.
But those who lived well during Yeltsin’s time were criminals. Gangsters drove the most expensive cars, dined in the most expensive restaurants. Many of them were government officials. Berezovsky had blood on his hands, but he was at the very top and wanted to rule the country, while Yeltsin continued to drink.
These were one of the darkest times for the inhabitants of Russia

I remember growing up there in the 90s, my parents were both dirt poor, as were most, struggling to get by with all the basic things. And they kept telling stories of how comfortable life used to be.
The Soviet Union had to end, but what followed, including these drunk puppets of the corruption machine, was far worse.
Are you a capitalist?
What do you mean the ussr “had to end”
Holy shit that turned out to be long lul
