I agree. But what would you say, now, if I said that Putin has set Russia back 40 years ? The state of affairs - such as they have existed since Russia invaded Ukraine almost a year ago - is as bleak as any I can remember.
It may be that Russia has legitimate concerns as regards the eastward expansion of NATO, but NATO doesn`t invade and co-erse other countries into becoming an integral part of western defence, as Russia seems to be attempting in the invasion of Ukraine.

I am 37 and I still love Bill's presidency. He was good president for his country. He was a man. Obama was pretty soft but also good. I felt that they tried to make their country better. Yeltsin tried to give russian people democracy but failed, because was poisoned by KGB and last years worked in potato mode, until control delivered to... You know to whom. He still sitting on throne.

I live in Hyde Park. I remember standing on US-RT9 waiting for Clinton to pass by. I was lucky to have seen him. I stood outside until he left. I wish I could of gone inside of the estate.

Yeltsin Russia ,was the USA dream, and a source of short lived happiness.
Twenty years on , laughter is turning into gnashing, and nail biting!
Sort of divine comedy ,turning into a tragedy.

This happened on 10-23-95. I remember first laughing and then crying in joy that two nations, whom just a few years prior, were on the verge of annihilating each other and the world, were now friends and their leaders were sharing a good laugh and joking together! This has to be the happiest geopolitical video ever! Now, as Russia invades Ukraine and NATO is on full alert, these days are so long gone.😭Pray for peace, it's all we've got!🙏✝☪✡☯☮🌍
