  • A step by step time-lapse video of glassing a surfboard. Below is a playlist of longer videos for each step of the process. Surfboard dimensions are 6' x 20.5 x 2.5. I've only glassed a handful of boards and am not an expert but this glassing process works for me.

      I’d say get a used board or soft top. Short board used you can find between $100 - $250

    I grew up on the beach and surfing till after army duty and haven't surfed since now live near the Arctic circle and miss those times so much...it's been 30 years I've watched a few of these vids...it's dream I never fulfilled but get to watch someone else living it is cool. Keep it up bru.

    I hope this is an art that is never lost.....I always love going into surf shops and looking at all the glossy brand new boards. I was saving for my first board and went in there to put money on it for 5 weeks.....loved going in to look at the gloss :)

    There are a lot of steps to make a Surfboard and when they are done correctly, you end up with an incredible piece of equipment that is beautiful to look at, very strong and very light.

      This board is actually polyurethane foam. Most board are polyurethane or EPS foam 🤙

    Nice board! I just finished making my own board. Haven’t had it in anything good yet but so far I think I really like it. I paint acrylic on the foam. Much easier than tint but tint look sweet. I learned something watching how you taped the pin line using the narrow tape you pull off. Thanks.

    I don't know how TH-cam did it but they did it. I'm about to go surfing for the first time in my 38 year old life. I haven't searched anything anywhere on the internet related to it yet but somehow against all odds this video is recommended now, exactly one week before my trip... How does that even happen??
    Anyway great vid my dude, I will now officially appreciate the work that goes into these seemingly simple pieces of what I now consider art.

      It's amazing the southern season has just started so it's more like a small Hawaii and the eastern coast which works from May till October is full of right hand point breaks. One day you should come visit Sri Lanka.

      Thanks man! Pros crank them out fast but I’ve got a day job and kids so I only work a few hours every few days after putting my kids to bed. So it takes me a long time, over a month for a board. Filming also slows me down. It’s just my creative outlet.

    It’s beautiful. Just like my 1977 Barry Bennett. I wish I had this information when I was home building my own boards in the 80’s. I made a real hash of the glass jobs.

    I never knew the processes that went into creating a surf board. Great video to watch and great to see the care and detail you put into your craft.
