  • @DesertBloomBettas

    I run my entire fishroom, about 27 tanks on two air pumps, one on each side of the room (because the room is large), but otherwise, a similar setup. I just have a line of airline that meanders around the room with other airlines attached near each tank, each with their own valve to control the airflow. It makes it super easy to move tanks around and add new ones - and when I empty a tank, I just move it's sponge filter, airline and all to the next tank over to keep it running.

    I have eight tanks in my living room (not enough room here for a separate fish room). I have a big air pump in the kitchen with a line running through the wall so that everyone can enjoy my tanks without having to listen to the pump all the time. Sadly Jehmco doesn't ship to Ireland, but I have a big Tetra pump that works great!

    This is honestly perfect timing! I’m building a fish rack for my 4 tanks and 3 run on air pumps (with multiple sponges in each tank, separated yah know?) and I think that this would be such a nice alternative for three different air pumps fighting for a power strip.

    • @SimplyBetta
      @SimplyBetta  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I used sch 40! You could probably use 1" PVC just fine for an air system, but at the time I thought a smaller diameter pipe would mean more pressure which could power more tanks. I'm not sure that mattered though. If you have a larger fish room with large tanks, I might recommend checking out Rachel O'Leary's channel, she went over her air system too

    So my son has 7 tanks in his bedroom against outside walls and because I didn't know any better each one has is own hob, light, heater and air pump. Which results in a s$#& ton of wires and plug in things and how did you get the picture of behind the tanks for your video? Weird?!!! So..... Is it too late? Can I simplify the mess? Help?!

    My tanks are too scattered for a central air pump system to work, but I wish I could do something like this. It would be so much nicer.

      It’s really convenient! Most people have scattered tanks though :-) in that case I’d prefer a bunch of little hang on back filters probably

    Yeah, my mom called me a couple of weeks ago to declare that she and my sister were not dumb... she was upset because her TV had not been working and they had tried for several days to fix it. Then a month or so later, someone else came over, changed the batteries in the remote, and lo... it worked. So, yeah... it happens to everyone...
