Watched Pete's Classic Rock Show Tour in the UK on YT. Double lead guitar on Freebird was #Ridiculousness. I was exhausted just watching all those notes. Pete didn't even break a sweat.
Pete was smart enough to let the other guitarist play the Gibson Doubleneck 6/12 on Hotel California. HaHa.
I love this channel because you seem to be the only one on TH-cam who dials in an amp like I'd use it and the intro jams are always a blast to listen to. Just subscribed!

You know Pete, no matter how many of your videos of amp reviews I watch I have the same problem... No amp will make me sound that good playing... You play with stylish versatility really covering all the fundamental bases and make it look effortless. Danish Pete didn't sound that good playing though it... I guess the take away is if it doesn't sound good don't blame the amp... Great post.

Sounds good, looks like a JTM45 sort of.
But if I got a Plexi based Sheriff 44, or the newest version, and if I use channel 1 of it, what better can the Deputy give me? With the Sheriff I still got a channel 2, which the Deputy has not.

Seems like a cool classic rock amp. The three way voice switch seems a lot like Friedman's. Of course, Pete could plug into my nose and play out my ass and sound great.

This isn't Danis Pete's signature amp, that would be the DP40, this is an amp he helped design.
Is that right? I thought this was a signature amp product. Well, at least he helped design it, I will contact them and ask them if they want me to change the title.
I was really hoping that Danish Pete learned to love more amp gain.

Watched the Andertons video yesterday and now this one and I can’t get past how similar this lis to the Friedman little sister. Basically the same front panel in different order and same bright and voice switches too. I have the little sister . The deputy sounds pretty good but the little sister sounds better . Love to see inside one of these the little sister is is very impressive amp inside and out.. Pete Honore had been using a light blue little sister in nearly every video since they reviewed it and the V2 Pink Taco.. Can’t help but wonder how much the Friedmans influenced the Deputy.
I immediately thought of the little sister as well. I guess the European market needs a little sister too. Kinda blatant though with the voice switches and the looks.
At the risk of sounding like a Friedman fanboy, there’s very few amps with the harmonic overtones as the Friedman stuff. I say that as a Super Kracken owner.
Friedman's are outrageously expensive in Europe compared to the competition (Marshall, which are very cheap here compared to in US). Victory is expensive too since it's hand made, but still cheaper than the Little Sister by about 200€. I think this is an excellent alternative to the LS in Europe considering no one is really buying Friedman stuff here. But there's no arguing that it is DEFINITELY very similar to the LS! Mr Honore has also made no secret about loving the LS. Victory stuff is great though. The Sheriff 25 is another Marshall inspired tone machine.
Both are based on the JTM45, so they should sound similar.

@Dan_Ranger I've seen him. I don't watch those guy's. I don't know him as Danish Pete, or Pete. I don't know thier names. He's a pretty good guitarist and he has a funny sense of humor. Seems like a pretty good guy. I just don't see the marketing value behind creating a signature amp and attaching his name to it. I just see a TH-cam guy and a music store and product reviews. There channel gets a lot of views and Victory thinks a signature amp is a profitable venture. You got to have someone I guess, I just don't know why they would decide it should be Pete... it's because of the number of views thier TH-cam videos generate. When was Jake E Lee's first signature amp? 2020ish. A great guitar player who gets a signature amp 30yrs after he's leaves the scene... it's about his legendary tone. Danish Pete didn't have to do too much, he has no legendary tone. What the point of wanting his tone or wanting a tone that he likes? It's a lovely amp probably

It's Victory. There was a table of over paid individuals who sat around the table and agree to this. They chose this path. It should be about tone and not a popularity contest.

In the 80's I listened to 1 band exclusively. And basically exclusively 1 member of that band. I listened to the singer, but not to his lyrics. I ignored the bass player. I heard the drummer but he didn't matter to me. It was all about Eddie... I snapped out of it in the 90's and finally let in Zeppelin, and then started to take it all in

Maybe between Vox and Marshall, a little more scooped than the classic British sound..?

This amp is $1500.... Is it really worth that much? To me it sounds like a Fender amp with the Dude pedal which, can be purchased for far less than $1500..
Sounds nothing like a typical Fender, it sounds like a Marshall JTM 45. Look up how much that costs. Or it sounds like Friedman Dirty Shirley (also based on JTM 45 I believe. Look that price up too.
@@jasonwilliams6042 I have watched several videos on this amp. At lower gain settings it sounds very much like a clean fender and starts to sound like a Marshall as the gain is cranked. That's what it's designed to do. Which is where the dude pedal I mentioned comes in... For me personally, just not worth it.. Buddy Blues has a more extensive review on this amp. He breaks it down pretty well

You can change it to EL84 if you wish.
@@Tanax13 So why isn't there any clips of it running on EL84s cause if these tubes go bad that's what you'll have to put in it and I'm sure the tone is different. I love Victory and currently own 4 but this is a little shady to me.
@@srh361 Because it ships with EL86 and there are only a limited number of review units sent out to reviewers. If you check the product page you can see that EL84 works. They even addressed the tube swap in their official video. EL84 will be a little bit more compressed and clip harder.
@@Tanax13 I understand they're interchangeable but Victory uses these EL86s knowing when you have to change them you'll have to use EL84s so why not show a clip with those tubes? I totally understand how everything works with demos but I'm just not liking it. I absolutely love Victory and currently own 4 of their amps and I'm trying to figure out how to get the MK overdrive and I was interested in this amp also but not sure what to do now as I'd like to hear it with 84s before hand.
More to the point, they haven't been made for 50 years!
