    Video Summary:
    The best way to build your self-confidence is by understanding the two core elements that create it. No one is born with self-confidence; it is acquired. And self-confidence is not global -- it tends to be situational. Self-confidence is a vibration of energy in your body that makes you calm and grounded when attempting a task. The negative vibration of being worried, anxious, or entertaining negative visualizations indicates a lack of confidence.
    Virtually everyone is confident of their abilities in some arena. Those who appear the most magnificently self-confident have likely had lots of experience at the particular skill you're observing right now. They likely suck at other tasks that you haven't witnessed. Skill mastery contributes greatly to self-confidence.
    The longer someone has been doing something, the more confident they'll likely become. Remember that most Olympic figure skaters or gymnasts started as young children. To achieve self-confidence in a skill, you must commit to the action to flawlessly acquire it.
    But self-confidence, beyond mastery of an external skill, also requires the element of internal psychology. Those who perform flawlessly, and yet struggle internally, may need to address issues of personal development, possibly anxiety or neuroses. They may need to mitigate limiting beliefs that are sabotaging their performance.
    To improve your self-confidence, address both the external and internal variables.

    Most of the girls I know, who have been told they're good-looking throughout their whole life, have been and still are the most insecure people I know too. They crave compliments and attention constantly to keep the belief that they're good-looking consistent from childhood and when they lose this attention, they believe they've suddenly become ugly, because no one is saying otherwise. I think it's actually easier for average looking people, because they're less likely to attract attention to their looks and become dependent on that attention, since it's not consistent and is not perceived as a loss when it stops. So whether you're good-looking or not, whether you've always been told you are or not, it's still the same mind game - you believe what you tell yourself you are.

This implies that I have to organise meetings and collaborate with them efficiently, but my anxiety/confidence issues get in the way. Hi Leo, this is Angie from Egypt. Very informative video. I had never really grasped that confidence was so controllable. I always thought it was about shyness but you are right, it is specific situations that shake us, for me it was and still is public speaking in front of a very large group of audience. I used to do it perfectly when I was younger but somehow throughout the years, i became shy publicly !!!

    I personally feel the best way to gain confidence is to put yourself in situations you'd usually recognize as uncomfortable (outside the comfort zone). Before I started my business, I was terrible in social situations but now I'm completely fine. Still a little off when it comes to young audiences though, went back to my old college the other day to do a speech and was incredibly nervous. I'd've much rather spoken to big shot business owners than them haha. But it turned out to be fine.
    Another thing that helped me was looking back on my progress, not what I could've done, but what I have done. Many of us forget the great and amazing things we've achieved in our lives, so at the end of the day I now write down things I've achieved in that day so that I can reflect and appreciate my efforts.

    4:18 Confidence is a vibrarion of enegy, a mindstate. Calm and grounded
    How is confidence developed?
    - Nobody is born with it
    - They have experience that you are lacking
    - Basically confidence through competence
    - Also you might be anxiety prone and pessesimistic
    1. Get the Competence
    How do i get the competence?
    2. Get your mind handled
    Confident people got it early
    i am naturally timid and axious. Also have inferiority complex

    Leo, can you make a video about social anxiety?

    • @kylebarnett9234
      @kylebarnett9234 9 ปีที่แล้ว +17

      I notice social anxiety is just from extreme shyness. You just need to do alot more desensitization to get your subconscious to realize theres nothing peoples opinions of you have any value or harm. I guess theres physical brain components to it but if you have the psychology part down it wont really affect you.
      Just try pushing yourself more and more over time... use mindfulness etc. And you'l probably melt it away... hope that helps... ive had a social anxiety problem for ages but i noticed after using mindfulness and pushing through slowly over time its starts to melt away

    wow, seriously, this was so helpful, Leo!
    I never saw confidence that way like being confident in one particular area, I just thought either you are confident in general or not at all which really lowered my self-esteem...
    But actually it´s just logical that you are confident about things if people keep telling you that you are good at something and then you KNOW it and act like it.
    For me, I (without wanting to sound arrogant which I am really not :D) know that I am pretty, I´m pretty good with languages (I´m from Germany) and I´m quite a good singer for example...those are things that I know...but where I have like zero confidence is when it comes to public speaking (teachers and my parents always said to me that I was a rather shy girl so I assumed I´m probably not good at talking in front of others) and just most things that have to do with social interaction when I feel like my partner has all those traits that I lack like confidence, being good at telling funny stories or stuff like that...and this really puts me down. I´m really happy that I found your channel and I´ve watched your "find your true self" video or something like that and I feel like I know now what to do to find it and like I shouldn´t care so much about how I come off...thanks for that ;)

    If you got a weak brain, and a narrow mind,
    this world will leave you, way behind,
    your friends will deceive you, leave you crying,
    you can't have yours, while you're watching mine.
    But if you got a strong brain, and your mind is broad,
    you'll have more friends, than a train can haul,
    you won't have no worries, no trouble at all,
    if you got a strong brain, and your mind is broad. Widespread Panic, and older.

    I'd rather view confidence as the trust in ones global ability to integrate chaos, rejection and alike constructively. Partial confidence might be the consequence of some internalized routine and can be gained by interacting authentically with the world and hopefully experiencing unfiltered reality in exchange. The higher your ability to see the deep roots of everything being the same, the more confidence you might have with trying and doing new things, as they will already be somewhat familiar.

I am trying and so far failing to get my business of the floor, I feel it is down to family background issues and not believing i myself and I'm hitting a barrier every time i want to gain in my life. I have trained as a web designer, videographer and life coach but i am not confident enough to use it. Though I know i am good in bed and if it wasn't for my moral stance and love for my God, boyfriend and child I would probably had done that by now. When someone has grown asking permission for everything to their parents this leads in adulthood to a lack of confidence when making important decisions in life. Also looking for aproval, inaction or blocking, blank. Any tip to face it?

      Me too and when we take a picture of the both of us in the comments they say how she's so pretty and then for me nothing and I feel like I have to live up to her beauty standards but it hurts your self esteem when everyone's telling her how gorgeous she is and I'm in the background
      I need help

    is any relationship between self confidence and loving yourself?

    • @ActualizedOrg
      @ActualizedOrg  10 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Sometime yes, sometimes no. For example, no matter how much you love yourself, you will never feel confident handling a wild cobra unless you've mastered the art of snake-handling. But, alternatively, if you love yourself, you will be more confident in certain situations, like in relationships or dating, and you will have a general self of confidence about life (aka, self esteem).

    i dunno about the good looking part.. I know people who are stunning, since they were kids were told they were gorgeous all the time but are still really insecure and that insecurity got worse as they got older. So yeah the exact opposite of what you said.

    Does emotional stimulation means compliments all the way?

    • @ActualizedOrg
      @ActualizedOrg  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      No! Don't compliment women too much. At least not until sex. She needs to feel like you're the prize, not her. She should be complimenting you.

    • @fabianvm7
      @fabianvm7 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes they have to chase... But can you give an example on stimulation? Just to make it clearer.

    • @ActualizedOrg
      @ActualizedOrg  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Fabian Vargas There are a thousand examples. Anything you say or do that spikes her emotions up or down. If you just walk to a random girl, grab her by the hand without saying a word, spin her around, smile, and then tell her that you hate her and she's going to hell, that would be stimulating.

    • @fabianvm7
      @fabianvm7 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Haha I'll try that! evil stimulation

    • @ActualizedOrg
      @ActualizedOrg  10 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Fabian Vargas Do it with confidence! Otherwise you will fall flat on your face.
