- Important to note! You do NOT need all 4 Strain Set mods for this to work, it seems to weirdly cap out at 2 (Having just 1 is about 10s between Mystic Bond Procs, but 2-4 of the mods all seem to be 5s between procs).
There's been so much fun stuff to mess around with in the newest companion rework and I am so swamped with homework so I can't engage with any of it in a timely manner (I have spent an embarrassing amount of plat rushing things - literally have never done that before this update but man I want to play with all these cool tools!)
I still believe that Wyrm + Helstrum is the best combo for Companions for Zephyr, but there's some real wacky stuff becoming viable and it's so fun to see! (Also to all smeeta users, I am praying for your downfall, the loot cat must be nerfed.)

FIXED - With the newest hotfix, this specific interaction with helminth charger was patched. But Mystic bond is still super broken with a couple of companions, especially Diriga with Arc Coils and Manifold Bond!
Important to note - for some reason, using more strain mods beyond just having 2 does not seem to bring down the cooldown of Mystic Bond any lower than 5 seconds. I can only assume that DE hardcoded some kind of rule where "abilities with cooldowns" cannot go below 1 per second, so even though using 1 mod = 10s between procs, 2-4 mods is always 5 seconds, so any 2 strain mods will work (you could even use the Warframe one and the Melee one and not put any on your charger if you wanted)
Also if you guys have found some cool interactions/interesting caveats or bonuses with the Bond mods, please post them down below! I've discovered a lot but I'm sure I've missed some things, and would love to know more for my next video!

this is so gonna get patch i can see the Arcane energize rank 5 werido frothing at the mouth that their 2k+ plat toys arent that good anymore
I dont see why DE would nerf something because of that, nor that people who run energize would care, but ok. Hell, energize itself has been nerfed before, this is more likely to get fixed because its clearly not working as intended. Im sorry that expensive things irk you by the way, you must have real fun opinions on founders.
Honestly, in any piece of content where sentinels can kill things, duplex bond+energize is really strong too.
I can't remember when the last time was that I used Energize, so many ways to get energy these days and quite a few rival or simply outpace Energize.
@@russmcmacken9001 well how many time you seen people telling you "invest arcane ernergize" when you ask for advice about energy management without arcane energize and how many time you've heard "get the founder/heirloom pack"
but then again i don't ask too many advice for fashion/excalibur builds
Primary exhilarate will do
If you prefer Sentinels or Moas, you can use Manifold Bond to decrease cooldown of some short cd ability like Vaporize or Ghost to proc Mystic Bond, but this requires applying 3 different status effects, that is easy with Epitaph, Cedo or multiple status frames like Saryn or new Hydroid with augment.
Lots of pets/companion weapons can also add on statuses as well. You could use different statuses in their load out to help with this!
Tbf its way faster to spam cast abilities when you have nourish or dispensary with equilibrium active then this and helminth is a wild card since it aint tanky in high lvls so there shouldn't be a nerf just a new interaction with companions
Cool, the pet changes are huge. I'm pretty sure people are still figuring stuff out. I love it when they make changes like this, it just changes up the meta so much, and makes for interesting synergies.
free abilities mean no shields gained from brief respite/augur mods
any shieldgating frame (basically any frame) will probably find it detrimental

Shield gating got changed bro the decaying strat isn’t the only way to use shield gating anymore
@@grandangus5285 catalyzed shields mod exist now, yet without energy to shields conversion you have to rely on abilities that give you shields like pillage, volt's 4 with augment etc. Shieldgate values changed, but the mechanics behind it have not.
@@lordelpyro what use does rhino get from this? Two of his abilities aren't recastable without augments, his 1 w/ augment exists to stack 2, so his 4 is essentially the only one you use frequently, yet its high stun duration and good range substitute for its high energy cost, meaning you don't have to cast it as often as you might think. Not to mention the animation is pretty long.

Unfortunately, this seems like an unintended interaction, and will likely be patched soon.
That Zenurik mod is the pin that keeps my Gyre build together. I have her on low efficiency so I need that mod to be able to cast her 4 and then use the energy I start with for her 3. I also used to use it in nightmare mission with rev and wukong when I didn't have all the nightmare mods. And I've made use of it here and there. I use Zenurik for the energy - don't have a rank 5 arcane energyzer and I'm not buying one - so that is just a bonus for a lot of frames.
Felt exactly the same , with Blind Rage the skill cost is too high at the start for both Cathode Grace and Rotorswell. without Zenurik i wouldn't be able to keep my Strength/Range stats in the modbuild

Reinforced Bond gives +60% firerate, melee attack speed AND Parazon Finisher animation speed ^_^
It's worth noting that this melee attack speed also includes charge speed. Some attack speed effects don't also effect charge mechanics like glaive throws, but that mod does.

Yeah this is an oversight on DEs side I don't think they I ment for it to be like this.
That's awesome and I now have to go rework my ESO Volt loadout.
My favorite companion to use since the Dagath update is the Vizier Predasite.
At first, I used it exclusively with a necramech since iatric Mycelium precept, can heal both operator and mechs.
But now, I started using it more so as a primer with its other mods; Acidic Spittle for corrosive, volatile parasite for viral and mystic bond since it will just spam the 3 abilities.

I haven't tested out the various bond mods as much as I would've liked after the first day (Been too busy with the Dagath x2 + Dorrclave farm and then Hydroid, plus generic life stuff always getting in the way), but I think I'd definitely pull my Helminth Charger out of storage for this. Have you tried it out much in typical missions? Feel like it'd be more useful for ESO (granted, Simaris) or defense (maaaaybe Disruption?) type scenarios as requiring the Helminth charger to be nearby -and- it taking its time to actually proc might be a bit of an issue....still fun to think about, though! I'll see if I can give it a shot soon.
Nautilus with manifold bond can spam cord every 5 kills. Try it with mystic bond idk if it's viable

Seems to count every growth tick as an ability intresting maybe that mod is usabule assuming this dosnt get patched cuz reasons ...
Though i dont see why they would this is a rather nesh interaction that costs 3 mod slots more if you have the rest of the set to drop the refresh down to 2ish seconds(assuming it works how i think it dose)

Unfortunately I could not get the effect to go any lower than 5 seconds per proc of Mystic bond, no matter how many other strain set mods I ran. I wonder if DE put a hard cap on a minimum of 1 second per ability with cooldowns, since using more mods never made it go below 5 seconds.

You don't have to do conservation to get them, they're bought with normal standing.

Fortuna and Deimos are waaaaaaaaaaay easier to rank up than Cetus, so don't worry about that.
Besides, it's not like this is an amazing thing you're missing. Most builds have infinite energy already. Just keep playing the game and you'll get there.

arcane steadfast dosen't drain any of it's stacks ever sense this recent update. infinite energy baby!
but ill take the arcane off: if it ain't legit, I'm not interested kind of deal.

They're offered by different open-world conservation NPCs, this one is specifically from Master Tesonai in Cetus.

Yeah, it's still my go-to choice for companion (it's the best for zephyr, but I think for non-zephyr frames, instead of using Wyrm,, Nautilus with Cordon and Manifold Bond is better, or Djinn for the immortality)
