anybody know how to match acapella or audio clip to the project BPM and match to the metronome

In Edison: Load clip/acapella into Edison>Press F2 (or open properties)>Detect Tempo-Constant>Accept
In Playlist: Set project tempo to this same number>dump clip from Edison into playlist>click top left icon on audio clip you dumped>Press Fit To Tempo (now heres the weird part)>Choose the original detected tempo of the clip (NOT the tempo you WANT it to be)
If someone knows a faster way then please reply here, but thats how ive been doing it for the past couple years.
