I always love watching your vlogs. Your life is aesthetic, but aproachable. I love how your home is evolving with the years, and with your needs - and isn’t like a project that completely rips out everything and finishes it in a few months (which most people couldn’t do). I love that you share how some stuff is in budget, and some things are. It just feels like a lifestyle I can relate to. The kids toys in the living room and sensible choises for the upstairs flooring is all I need in my life right now

I went to a dermatologist for the first time on Friday at 32 because of you. My mum died from cancer last year that started as skin cancer & while I avoid the sun and always suncream, we’re a moley family. Had one biopsied but all my weird ones were fine. Already booked in for next year. Thank you for talking about this ❤

I work in oncology. I've seen patients in their 30s and 40s and older, dying from melanoma, investment in health is the best investment anyone can make. Great to make people aware that this is an option ❤

I can't believe how expensive it is getting moles checked! Australia is obviously a much hotter climate etc etc but it costs me like $50 Australian. And it's very comprehensive. You should see where you can fly that has cheap mole checks. For 300 quid, I'm sure there's somewhere nice but close by!
I know. I mean bear in mind this is if you go private. There are cheaper ways of doing it but from my experience it needs to be done by a dermatologist, and it’s hard to get a referral to get that done for free. There is a service at Boots (our high street drugstore) that I will try soon to see how it is
As an Aussie I was thinking that as well, we have clinics everywhere.

I found a mole on my mum last year that didn’t seem right and I’m sure I was aware of it because of the content that you’ve done so thanks! It was cancerous and it has been removed and all is well now.

How come you can’t get your moles checked at the dermatologist? Here in Germany I can get them checked there once a year and insurance pays.
Insurance only pays if you need one removed, they won’t cover mole checks. It’s a joke. (Also insurance is a real luxury here. Most people only have access to the NHS and a mole check at GP isn’t sufficient)

I find the mole stuff really stressful. My partner has SO many moles and they are all different but we don't have the budget professionally checked and also he just doesn't accept that its something that he should be doing - he doesn't really realise there's a risk. There's so many I'd really struggle to monitor them myself because there's hundreds of them everywhere I don't know how I'd monitor so many :( I'm so scared something will happen to him - now we have a young daughter it's just really on my mind.
Don’t panic. Just because he has loads of moles, that’s normal for him. And some might not even be moles, they might be freckles of some sort. If there are any particular ones you’re worried about go to the GP and they should be able to refer you to a specialist (who will probably check his whole body once there). It’s just about getting that referral.

The NHS do mole mapping if they thing you need it!!!! It's tge same thing as you have just described but a man behind a camera!!!!
I am very confused- are there no qualified dermatologists in the UK? Sounds like a total scam, this very expensive do tors you’re going to. Just so you know, it is not necessary to have any fancy machines or high tech photos- any good dermatologist takes photos during your regular skin check. It is very much possible for anyone to have access to good skin care. Am I missing something here?
