It is time to start sharing our plans for the 2024-2025 homeschool year! I would love to hear, what stage are you in? Buying? Shopping? Planning? Done?
The new MUS Algebra was created to follow common core standards so that the charter school systems could continue to purchase Math-U-See in that level. It deviates a lot from the original method. I think most people are doing the legacy version that are longtime users, so I’m curious to see what you think of this new one!
My son is on lesson 14 of MUS Pre-Algebra. On the Demme learning platform, there is a MuS bridge course. In one of the fb groups I am, lots are saying this new algebra 1 is a hard coming from the existing pre-algebra course, 🙁. What are your thoughts? Have you also heard this that the transition from pre to the new algebra 1 has caused many frustrations and curriculum switch? Do you plan of using the bridge course? I am currently trying to plan and really unsure what to do. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks x
This is the first I'm hearing about it😬. A quick Google led me to this link. I guess I'll just look over the program once I get it and look through the digital items. I'll decide based on what I think. 🤷♀️ I'll be back to share of course demmelearning.com/support-center/bridge-materials-pre-algebra-to-algebra-1-principles-of-secondary-mathematics/
So I have an idea. I would like to have a space on the Internet that homeschool parents can share resources for different curriculum for example history quest. And other parents can share resources they have found for each unit. But I don’t know what the best platform for this would be. Any ideas?
I haven't watched them yet but I loved that each tribe has their own video instead of being lumped together. I'll be sure to share anything else I can find too! th-cam.com/play/PLhbEjnwOPpyKAnwa2msWHxccEZstI3_yN.html&si=ivpxlZDDFAW5oPDd

Ooh, good to know.
I just checked out the preview for art history by Crash Course. It looks interesting. How do you plan on using it? Will you watch video and discuss? 😊
Just watch and discuss. Go further if they're interested.

Naturally, I went and looked. It looks awesome. Like a great prep for Algebra.

Probably the easiest platform to use would be a Facebook group. I can't think of another platform that can make sharing that easy.
is it possible to link the native american resource you mentioned
Yes, I'll try to find it again!
