I love Freida’s fabric flip. They would be pretty with some slow stitching on the fabric too. I do that sometimes on my regular fabric flips. I’ve always disliked the fact that fabric flips always flop around when you turn the page that they are on. It’s supposed to be a secret place to write but if it flips up, the secret place is revealed. So recently I started weighting the bottom of my flips by either adding a piece of card stock, scrapbook paper, heavy lace, a button etc to the bottom. This keeps the flipping fabric down.

😳wow! No way! I had this very thought to put fabric flips on to tags, I hadn’t seen it before and I actually thought of you Gayle as you are the fabric flip Queen, when I think of fabric flips I think of you 😂, now I can see them come to life, really this is just an evolution of the humble fabric flip in the junk journal world. I had to stop this at the beginning to say this, so now back to the video 😃👍❤️🙏🇦🇺

I had done a few of these a while back and have them in my Etsy shop. However I did slow stitched fabric flips, and then attached it to tag with a 3 hole book binder technique, then the tag fits in to a glued pocket on a page with the flip hanging on the outside of the pocket. You can lift the flip to peak at the tag, or pull the whole thing out. My method takes a little longer. But a fun idea!

I have never done this for a journal card but have used fabric to cover notepads. Also, I have not layered the fabric but what a great idea because I have some brighter fabrics that I have no use for but I think it will look good in small quantities for a journal that uses mostly neutral colors.
