Dan is the man!! Never have I heard a more beautiful and masterful performance of this old timeless hymn! And I grew up in church. My father was a Pastor (still is at age 78!) I'm a PK (Preacher's Kid) and have suggested this and heard it probably thousands of times throughout my lifetime. The harmonica gets me every single time because my beloved Granny played it beautifully. I want this version at my funeral!! Can't wait to sing with him in Heaven!! God bless you and all who hear it! This is the most beautiful rendition of this song I will ever hear. He soared to Heaven and took us along for the ride. He has worked for years to perfect that incredible voice and his filming techniques as well. He has over 200 videos out there, most of them secular in nature. He is from Brazil and has stated he is a Christian. For Christian songs, try "For All" "Adeste Fideles", "Angels We have heard on High" for a start. His band is "Fearless" and they have an album "Chronicles of Ancient Wisdom". For secular music try any of his other stuff. It's all fire.
You gotta check out his covers of "Toss a coin to your witcher" which is the cover that blew him up a few years back. And my personal favorite his cover of "Make a man out of you" from Mulan. You won't be disappointed.

I love how raw & delicate he started the song, even with the slight echo & with each verse exposing more talent & intensity. Dan Vasc has a God given talent that he has worked up into absolute perfection. He sang this song the way it was meant to be sung with such respect, emotion & with a powerful impact. I felt the presence of God. This is the absolute very BEST version of Amazing Grace that I've EVER heard in my ENTIRE life & I'm old (LOL). Dan’s version of Josh Groban’s “You are Loved (Don’t Give Up) is one of my favorites. I also love his acoustic version of Loch Loman as it has a beautiful duet in it (and it’s a song from my childhood), “Toss A Coin To Your Witcher” is one of his most viewed songs and his operatic songs like Nessun Dorma, The Phantom of the Opera , etc. are also epic. He literally crosses every boundary of music.

I’ll Make a Man Out of You from Disney’s Mulan. Toss a Coin to Your Witcher. Nessun Dorma….Opera. He has over 200 videos. Amazing Grace has over 4 million views in just 2 months.

I think you're going to have a great time checking through Dan's treasure-trove of wonderful music. One of the things Dan always shares, is that he is all about POWER, and helping others live the same way. He's had his own time through a major depression, and he's been through a lot, but he has come through it all, and he really cares about his listeners. Rather than suggest any more songs for your reactions, personally, I think you should just begin to take at least a short journey through some of his playlists on his channel. They are sorted by style and content. Enjoy!

This was a great reaction. Like others have said, you can't really go wrong if you go down the Dan Vasc rabbit hole. He has covers of all types of songs in many different styles. He likes his music upbeat, with plenty of power, but he has gentle pieces as well. There are also a number of humorous videos (some of which are on the naughty side). It just depends on what you're in the mood for. My personal favorite of the funny videos is his cover of Def Leppard's "Pour Some Sugar On Me" (Trip to the Beach). Some good serious covers are "Gethsemane" from Jesus Christ, Superstar, and "Call of the White Wolf" from the Witcher series.

hello again Mr Beats 🙂 I've followed Dan for many years and he always puts his spin on songs, I've never heard him do a bad job, he's always respectful of the original but you always know that it's him. A very talented man with a beautiful gentle soul, a wicked sense of humour and very easy on the eye 😉 - some people have it all! 😄
He does excellent covers of strong women voices and I highly recommend 'Bring me to life' by Evanescence - it shows off his range perfectly. also 'Rolling in the deep' by Adele.
My personal favourites are his Helloween ones, I've struggled to tell him from the original at times which is a testament to his talent - a great metal voice which I love 🤘❤🤘

I'm 65 yo Christian woman who always cries and worship everyday when I hear this. I was never a metal head until Dan. He is a Christian metal artist. His Band is FEARLESS. He can and does sing any genre. Although I have not heard him do bluegrass, country or rap yet.... if he does I will listen and I'm sure it will be the best ever.

6/17/23. I was "Vasc"inated" just five days ago and have been listening to as much of his TH-cam channel as I can. He's absolutely brilliant. He suffered from anxiety and depression and talked about how he learned to get through and get better. Very wise for a 33-year-old. Great sense of humor. Makes a living just from TH-cam. My new favorite vocalist. (Don't tell Josh Groban!) Keep up the good work. Just subscribed.

I agree Cliff, This was my moms favorite song She was a hard core Catholic .I had this song played at her funeral.I wish I had Dan's version back then she would have heard this from heaven.I never agreed with the catholic religion when i was a kid I kinda became an atheist for a long while Then when I discovered Angelina Jordan while listening to golden buzzers from AGT online to drown out my Tinitus four years ago It hit my soul and I felt she had to be a Angel from above , after that Iv'e been discovering singers like Dan Vasc singing my mothers favorite song and that other metal group Sabotan . We are both Christian and have heard “Amazing Grace”, like another commenter expressed a bit ago, at least 1000 times, in Various versions. That being said, this Young Man, since the first time we listen to his version, is Absolutely, in Our opinión, is the Greatest of all time. The history of this Precious Hymn is little know by most who have heard it. We hope you will investigate on your own. The way Mr. Dan Vasc sings and preform’s this Beautiful Hymn, is as if it was waiting to be sung at this precise time by Dan, when the world need’s to be touch by the limitless power of All of Our Creators power. To make necessary change’s, not for other’s, but within OURSELVES, to change the out come of ALL HUMANITY. The Original author of the song, facing his own extinction, was given a second chance to live by the Grace of God Almighty, to change his heart condition and Value All LIFE, thus set a path that saved many other lives.
