Dan was actually singing this in his garage studio. He doesn't lip sync. He will sing and record it two or more times to see which one is the best. He will pick one of the recordings and only use the one, but may use scenes from any as he thinks is the best. So glad to see you finally do a Dan reaction again!! Thanks!!
I think you're referencing back to Dan's video about how to become a TH-cam singer. His recording and filming process has actually changed since then. He now records the audio ahead of time and then films later. As a singer who's been involved in music video shoots, I will say it's a common misconception that singers are lip-syncing while filming. Directors typically want singers to sing along in real life with the audio track being played while filming to catch more of the actual movements and muscle action of the face, mouth, and neck to make the footage look more realistic.
He is lip syncing here, but lip syncing doesn't mean he isn't singing while recording -- it just means he lines up the polished studio recording with the performance in the music video. There are a number of moments in this video that aren't perfectly synced up -- you'll catch them if you keep an eye out for them. This is nothing against Dan or his abilities -- it's simply the standard for creating music videos with the highest-quality audio possible.
@@PeterBarber When you say it's a studio recording, what are you meaning? He only has his own studio, in his garage, where he also films it. I have heard him talk about it and has said what I said above, but have never heard him say he records the audio then films later. So I guess my point is that he doesn't go anywhere else to record his songs.
@@dianalindenmeyer4847 He's actually talked about it on different podcasts and streams he's done that are more recent. The old-time dynamic microphone he's got in his videos is more for aesthetics to fit with his look and to make the videos more eye-catching. They're absolutely terrible when it comes to recording vocals, and he's posted videos on his socials where he records with a Neumann TLM 49 condenser microphone.
Dan did everything in this one. Music, arrangement, vocals, mixing, editing, mastering. He is multi talented. If you check the description he includes all the particulars.
Great reaction to a great cover by Dan. We "uninitiated" refer to that higher metal "mix" you referred to as the "Dan scream." We all love a good Dan scream. 😃 Since you're a Witcher fan, you should check out the "Dan screams" in Burn Butcher Burn! And absolutely I'd love to hear you interview Dan! Also, since you're trained in opera, maybe you should check out Dan's "Nessun Dorma"
If you want to see another side of Dan, check out his "American Trilogy" which he released less than a week after his father passed away. His Father was a huge Elvis fan, and he released it in honor of his Father.. And then check out "Love Me Tender", which he dedicated to an elderly lady that reached out to him for her husband who was terminally ill. Dan is a really good guy, with a big heart.
Dan is not only an incredible singer but also an amazing human being. He is very, very intelligent, humble as can be, and kind and caring. He is proud of what he has achieved to hard work and is always willing to share what he has learned with others to help them. Daniel Vasconcelos. --- an intellectual 'head banger' and simply a sweetheart!
Yes, "My Mother Told Me," "Nessun Dorma," and Handel's "Hallelujah Chorus" show a nice range. He does record in his garage studio with 3 cameras. He uses the Midi when arranging the orchestration. He sings all his own background vocals. He is so talented in more ways than that versatile, powerful, beautiful voice!
I really liked his One Man Choir (Handel's Hallelujah), in which he sang all 24 parts.😂 Gethsemane fro Jesus Christ Superstar, Number of the Beast, Nessun Dorma, and My Heart Will Go On is Spectacular!... There are just so many to choose from. None are poorly done.😊
Thank you for your great reaction to Dan! Dan himself mentioned that he identifies as a tenor, yet he doesn't perceive this classification as limiting him in any way.
I loved your reaction and analysis of Dan's singing. This song really jumpstarted this TH-cam success as he recorded it after watching the first two episodes of the Witcher. He already knew the show was going to be a massive hit and that this song could be massive for him, and boy, was he right. I would definitely recommend his other Witcher covers and his newest one, My Heart Will Go On. He totally reimages it and turns a sad ballad into a powerful anthem. Nessun Dorma is another amazing performance, and not metal at all. Thanks so much Peter and I do hope you can persuade Dan to come to your channel. That would be awesome.
Two recommendations of Dan's music so far: he did nessun dorma and I think it would be nice to hear an opera singer reacting to that and maybe it would be interesting for you, too. Second mention for now is his cover of: I'll make a man out of you (Disney's Mulan, real epic interpretation)
Please do Burn Butcher Burn, Hallelujah Chorus (he sings all the parts) and his version of Gethsemane is not to be missed. Would love to see an interview.
Whoever is editing... KUDOS! Peter: give it to me...Dan does ....he wasn't expecting that...huh???? This video was great, thanks to content and Editing!!! To see Dan do what he does best in singing AND acting, watch his Gethsemane cover....hard to find words to describe that cover ❤
Please check out Dans new release of My Heart Will Go On, a Celine cover, it will blow you away! New sub here, more Dan please. Note: Dan can sing in any range from high to low with ease.
YES!🎉*Finally* a second Dan Vasc reaction! 🎙️🎶 I’ve been waiting and asking for this for months! Thank you so much Peter. Next up: Burn Butcher Burn. You’ll love it.
I cannot wait to hear this from YOU. !!! Have you ever reacted to Dan's Bohemian Rhapsody ?? He SLAYS it ! Hope you decide to check it out. Will be commenting after Burn Butcher Burn!!!! ☺
Can’t wait for you to react to so many more from Dan. You’re going to love his diversity and his incredible technique. I really enjoy listening to someone who actually understands his talent and skill. It’s so much fun to hear your insights and see your response. More Dan Vasc please!
There are so many recommendations! Bring Me to Life, Burn Butcher Burn, Song of the White Wolf, My Mother Told Me, Gethsemane, Sound of Silence, Music of the Night, and soooo many more. Can't wait!❤❤
If you want to see how vast his vocal toolbox is I suggest his cover of 'Bring Me To Life' by evanescent. Would love to see you do an interview with Dan Vasc. Your analysis reactions are so informative but fun. I love how you seem to truly enjoy what your doing and makes it so much fun to watch. Thank you for your continually great reaction/analysis videos. ✌
Thank You Peter !!!!!! I have been waiting and waiting---It has been a very long time since you reacted to Amazing Grace. Way to be dramatic!!! Loved your analysis and comments today and could tell you were truly enjoying this. If you want my opinion, I vote that you go ASAP to "Burn Butcher Burn" !! I have never watched The Witcher, but Dan has turned me into a Witcher Song Fan !! Out of Dan's huge selections of 250+ videos, "Burn Butcher Burn" is way at the top of my favorites. SO looking forward to hearing your opinion on this one .❣
Dan records live in his studio in his garage. Love his music and would love to see you interview him. Thanks for a in depth reaction to this great singer/performer.
Burn butcher burn For his acting skills: Gethsemane, Music of the night To see his versatile vocal skills in just one song: Bring me to life To see his screaming that lasts more than 30 seconds: Black, Wind, Fire and Steal
Awww, 😢! Your comment has a spoiler in it. Please consider editing it to something like “Longest belted note: Black Wind Fire and Steel.” (This leaves a nice surprise for the reactor to discover… and we get to watch!)
You mentioned being opera training, dan is also opera trained, check out angels we have heard on high, or if you really want to see his range check out hallelujah
Thank you for your reaction. Dan has so genres that it covers from opera to heavy metal. Check out is range in Bring Me To Life, Wuthering Heights for falsetto, Gethseame. Nessun Dorma the list goes on and on. I think you will find the rabbit hole entertaining. Dan is an emotional singer and you tell he enjoys and leaves nothing on table. Looking forward to your reaction. Enjoy.
Just stopped by to say that I have so much fun listening to you analyze a song. Your excitement and passion for the music make learning such a joyful experience! I appreciate how you take your time explaining the elements and techniques both by singing parts you want to highlight as well as showing back the sections of the video that correlate. Thank you for all the lessons! They are amazing! 😊
Thank you for another excellent analysis on Dan's voice and the techniques he uses. Another Witcher-cover you'll surely enjoy is "Burn Butcher Burn", Dan turned it into an epic one-man Metal Opera, showing once more what he is capable of. Yes, Dan is a Tenor with acces to the lower baritonal range as well and obviously the very high falsetto notes which are as powerful as everything else he belts out. The lowest notes he sang in his cover of "The Rains of Castamere". Further covers worth reacting to are "Nessun Dorma" and "Gethsemane" as well as "Bring Me To Life" (heavy growls there). He does arrange everything himself using various programmes and sometimes he actually plays little bits and pieces on the keybord when arranging the instrumentals. Please try and reach out to him, would love to hear you guys talk about all the vocal techniques and training he did!
Please reach out to him. We would all love to see that. Certainly enjoy the analytics, don't understand them all, but I'm learning. Gethsemane would be a great reaction considering Easter is just around the corner.
Thx for your reaction. I love it, when I get an actual analysis, although this "OMG, he's soooo good, I can't believe he just did that"-stuff can be quite entertaining as well 🤣
H/T to your editor (i think its Mason) for the cheeky nods, as well as to you for another amazing R&A! Definitely recommend Dan's Gethsemane, Music of the Night, and the rest of his Witcher catalog, and I love your interviews, so get him on Vocal Arts!
I do aprecciate your review and great analysis to this wonderful Witcher cover by Dan Vasc. This dude is absolutely phenomenal. Loved it. Thank you so much.
I really, really would like to hear your thoughts on Dan's Music of the Night. To my untrained ears, it's beautiful and he 'performs' it well too. I feel him drawing me in every time I watch it. Having said all that, I'll happily take anything you react to.
An interview with Dan would be amazing! :) Also, if you think he sang high on that one you should watch Hallelujah Chorus. Also I really enjoy your analysis of many different groups, but would definitely love to see you do more Dan reactions! :)
Thanks for reacting to Dan once again. My intro to Dan, like you, was also with his performance of Amazing Grace. That was just phenomenal, and brought me to tears. I think you will enjoy reacting to his duet with Violet Orlandi in their Metal Cover of Seal's "Kiss From A Rose", which is from the Batman Forever movie soundtrack. IMHO, It blew the original out of the water. th-cam.com/video/z7QCvjH-sqQ/w-d-xo.html
A miracle was born. Dan Vasc's success reflects his hard work, dedication and passion for his craft. This boy is a true combination of talent, hard work and determination!!!! She literally becomes the song she sings and draws you into her world. Then all of a sudden he kicked in TH-cam's door and everyone is talking about him!!! Your star is rising higher and higher! You are a fantastic guy! I have never been impressed by a singer like this! It's a real heart booster to listen to him! And it's fucking good!!!/ sorry/ A grateful heart is a magnet for miracles.
What a great way to start the day, with a reaction from you to one of my favorite Dan songs. I really hope you manage to get an interview with him - that would be fascinating! I always enjoy your insights into how the singers manage to do what they do. Thanks! He's got such a wide range of songs out there. Other Witcher songs, of course - Nessun Dorma would be an obvious choice for an opera singer. Whatever you pick, I'm sure the analysis will be great!
Just for reference, that F5 is the same as the final note of Nightwish's Ghost Love Score. And he's a dude!! Try the "Halleluiah Chorus" One man choir.... awesome!
I think you would like checking out his cover of "carry on" by angra or "wuthering heights" both show off his high range and grit. "Nessum dorma" and "angels we have heard on high" show off his more operatic side. "Gethsemane" is a one man broadway show. "bring me to life", " poker face" and "majesty" shows his more"screamo" metal side
I can't begin to tell you where Dan is when he is singing, but he worked really hard on his falsetto by listening and mimicking Andre Matos. If you want to listen to his high voice, listen to Wuthering Heights.
Loved your reaction video to Dan’s phenomenal rendition of Toss A Coin To Your Witcher!!! I loved your breakdown and detailed explanation!!!! It was so good!!! Dude, when it comes to Dan Vasc, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND EVERYTHING he has done!!! Dive deep, brother!!! The VASC is brilliant at his artistry, and I am sure he will “wow” you so much more!!! Thank you so very, VERY much for showing love and support to The Treasure From Brazil!!! Love and blessings, brother!!! #danvascisepic #danistotalfire 🔥🔥👏🏼❤️🇧🇷💛
Please, please, please interview Dan!! I’d love to hear an interview with him about his music. Thank you, Peter, for doing another Dan Vasc reaction and analysis!
I think it would be awesome if you could get an interview with Dan. I'd love to hear you discuss his video and recording techniques as well as his singing. Unfortunately, it might be hard to get hold of him. (Other reactors have tried without success.) He credits anyone who helps on his videos, so if it doesn't say, he did the arranging. And yes, he uses midi. (Despite what some fans think, Dan himself has said he's not a good instrumentalist. I'd say he's better than most hobbyists on guitar, and plays keyboard well enough to make his arrangements. He often has guest musicians, and always credits them.)
Dan is awesome! I'm so glad you did another one of his songs. I don't feel like Amazing Grace, as much as I like it, is the best song for you to analyze. By the way, Dan is trained and has a sick range. "I'll make a man out of you" is a really fun one, of course you get Dan's amazing belts, but lots more. If you want a crazy metal song, "Black Wind Fire and Steel" will blow you away. He's an interesting fellow. I would love to see an interview between you two. Shaman's "Fairy Tale" is one of my absolute favorites.
Really? I LOVED Peter’s reaction/ analysis to Dan’s Amazing Grace and have been hoping for months and months that he’d do another Dan song…any song! I thought Peter did a fantastic job.
@@karenm5681 Don't get me wrong. I LOVED his Amazing Grace. I just felt like there were so many different sides to his voice and they were shown more in other songs. I'm also waiting for more Dan! th-cam.com/video/xGGZ5XZLxTk/w-d-xo.htmlsi=H0PhtPg0sdTObBwJ
Yes, an interview would be very interesting. Specially when he is recording a tribute album of Manowar and has to record a song called "Man buns are gay and so am I" because he lost a bet... Thanks for the review/analysis, it was very interesting and informative.
Really loved your analysis of Dan’s vocals! There are so many crazy things he does with his voice! Would love if you explained how he does the very ending of Adeste Fideles, also if you want High you should check out Wuthering Heights. Of course Bring Me to Life cover of evanescence has a lot more wild vocal acrobatics. The list could go on and on. You should do at least a weekly Dan Vasc vocal clinic. Would be Epic!❤
I’d love for you to interview Dan Vasc. Not only does he have a unique vocal toolkit, but also he seems to be a well-grounded, thoughtful person (with a wicked sense of humor).
Yes, yes please a Dan Vasc interview. I am 74 years old, Peter, and I can listen to Dan sing any song of any genre in any fashion and love it! Thanks as al
Thank you for reacting to this, it's one of my favourites 👌 As you are a trained opera singer I would love you to react to his NESSUN DORMA. To my untrained ears it sounds better than many I've heard, but is it? I'd love to know 😊
I find Dan Vasc interesting because he seems to sing whatever he likes however he likes. So, he can go from straight-sung Music of the Night, Love Me Tender, Son of Pain (very moving) and Nessun Dorma (interesting to hear) to a more mixed use of his voice, as in for example, Gethsemane (dramatic) and Burn Butcher Burn (which, while angry, I also found to be moving in its way) to full-on power metal as in, for example, Sabaton covers (chosen solely because I happen to like Sabaton, although I also like a Rhapsody cover he does, Dawn of Victory, which also features Fabio Lione). His take on My Heart Will Go On is just plain exhilarating!
Listen to Burn Butcher Burn also from The Witcher. There are also 2 others that he sings from the Witcher. Dan Vasc can sing anything, any genre any style amazingly!
Toss a coin to Dan for being such a badass vocalist! Man I loved this cover from him. What else from Dan should I react to and analyze?!
Gethsemane or Kiss from a Rose ft Violet Orlandi.
Dan’s newest My Heat Will Go On, it’s not Céline Dion, that’s for sure!
“The music of the night” from Phantom. Incredible!
Go listen to his Phantom of the opera songs.
"I'll make a man out of you" from Mulan, has some pretty epic screams there 😉
Please…interview Dan! That would be amazing. Thank you for the great analysis.

Also, if you think he sang high on that one you should watch Hallelujah Chorus.
Also I really enjoy your analysis of many different groups, but would definitely love to see you do more Dan reactions! :)
Great Reaction to a phenomenal singer.
I agree about Kiss - I like his version better than the original and I used to love the original!
And it's fucking good!!!/ sorry/
A grateful heart is a magnet for miracles.
Great reaction!! And yes, i would love to see an interview with you and Dan!!
Easter’s coming! Dan Vasc singing “Gesthemene” from “Jesus Christ Superstar.” Life-changing!😮
Awesome R&A, as always. Love all the explanations of the techniques each artist uses in his/her performance!
thanks for reacting to this cover from Dan, I’d love to see an interview and your reaction to Dan’s Nessun Dorma😊
If you want to see him do an entire song in falsetto check out his version of Wuthering Heights.
Music of the night, nessum dorma. Off the top of my head✌️
Would love to hear an interview with you and Dan. Bohemian Rhapsody by Dan would be a good video for your R/A.
I can't begin to tell you where Dan is when he is singing, but he worked really hard on his falsetto by listening and mimicking Andre Matos. If you want to listen to his high voice, listen to Wuthering Heights.
Wuthering Heights as in Kate Bush? Holy crap..... must hear.
@@DavidPChristian2 That's the one.
Would love to hear the interview that would be awesome...I would listen to Burn Butcher Burn...it's badass!!!❤
Any thing and everything Dan is phenomenal!!!
AMERICAN TRILOGY
NORTHWEST PASSAGE....
I would love to see an interview with Dan!!!

🔥🔥👏🏼❤️🇧🇷💛
Song of the White Wolf and interview YAS!!!🙌🏻🔥
Dan is brilliant 🇧🇷🤟🇧🇷🤟
Please, please, please interview Dan!! I’d love to hear an interview with him about his music. Thank you, Peter, for doing another Dan Vasc reaction and analysis!
A master of a craft discussing the performance of another master of his craft. As a casual observer of both its fascinating. good stuff.
I think it would be awesome if you could get an interview with Dan. I'd love to hear you discuss his video and recording techniques as well as his singing. Unfortunately, it might be hard to get hold of him. (Other reactors have tried without success.)
He credits anyone who helps on his videos, so if it doesn't say, he did the arranging. And yes, he uses midi. (Despite what some fans think, Dan himself has said he's not a good instrumentalist. I'd say he's better than most hobbyists on guitar, and plays keyboard well enough to make his arrangements. He often has guest musicians, and always credits them.)
He sings Ande Bacelli and is absolutely incredible.
I love the phrase, “ You’re craving” because it’s like hanging on the edge of possibilities!
Love your reaction he is great I can’t get enough of him 😍
Dan is awesome!
Some to check out. Burn butcher burn. Bring me to life. Angels we have heard on high. Hansels Halleujah chorus
Yes, an interview would be very interesting. Specially when he is recording a tribute album of Manowar and has to record a song called "Man buns are gay and so am I" because he lost a bet...
Thanks for the review/analysis, it was very interesting and informative.
Gary won bc everyone wanted to hear Dan's man bun song instead of Gary's bon Jovi attempt.
Would love to see an interview with Dan. It's nice to hear reviews from someone who is trained in music and singing. ❤
Thank you for a great reaction. I hope you get to interview Dan. He is amazing on so many levels. 🌟❤️
This was my gateway Vasc song back in the day. By that first "yeah" I was completely hooked
Yes yes yes
I’d love for you to interview Dan Vasc. Not only does he have a unique vocal toolkit, but also he seems to be a well-grounded, thoughtful person (with a wicked sense of humor).
Toss a coin to our Peter for the great analysis. I'd like you to do more of Dan's work!
Thank you for your excellent analysis on Dan's cover.
Was very interesting for me.
Espetacular demais o DAN VASC!!!!!❤❤❤❤❤ obrigada por vc reagir , gostei sua reação.....
Yes, yes please a Dan Vasc interview. I am 74 years old, Peter, and I can listen to Dan sing any song of any genre in any fashion and love it! Thanks as al
You will love his theatrical and range skills in the Gethsemane cover.
Thank you for reacting to this, it's one of my favourites 👌
As you are a trained opera singer I would love you to react to his NESSUN DORMA. To my untrained ears it sounds better than many I've heard, but is it? I'd love to know 😊
Dan has several Witcher covers! He does Priscilla’s Song from the game in voice & lute and a metal version!
