Not so sure this is right - most stalkers don’t want the subject to know they’re stalking them. This distinction doesn’t hold up.

I was in the middle of a lawsuit. I believe someone was driving me insane. They pushed me to suicide, mental anguish, gaslighting and sent me letters through the United States mail. I dropped the lawsuit. I was in fear for my life and my sanity. I still until this day probably six months after I dropped the lawsuit now suffer from ptsd from this. I spent two trips in the psych ward. One day the anxiety became so bad I called an ambulance. I thought I was going to have a heart attack. The phone calls, hacked phone and emails. This was bad. Really bad.

Hacking phones is illegal that not even people who want to hide behind "private investigators" are allowed to do. Private investigators also don't stalk to be seen & heard to intimidate their target. That is not a private investigator. That is someone who wants to go to prison for commiting cyber crimes 🙃
Well I’m definitely being stalked then, especially when you hear individuals yelling from a distance about you and not being discreet as possible they want me to know that they are there so I will react.
The difference between stalking and surveillance is that stalking is not licensed by the authorities while surveillance is. This analogy also applies to counterfeiters vs central banks. When a counterfeiter
prints money and use them to obtain goods and services, it’s a crime. But if a central bank prints billions of dollars out of thin air and lend them to the authorities for deficit spending, it’s called economic stimulus. The one that is legally authorized certainly does more harm to the economy than the one that is unauthorized and being criminalized.
I was stalked, harassed sent letters through the United States mail. My phone and email were hacked. My phones camera would turn on itself. Songs were played on my phone out of nowhere. Unethical private investigators exist. They worked on me so bad that I now take multiple medications, I don't like to leave my house. My marriage is failing because my wife cannot deal with my newly found paranoid. However there will be light at the end of all this. Like you said surveillance and then there is stalking and harassment. Also bullying and knowingly pushing someone into a nervous breakdown and multiple suicide attempts. Yup that's right. either way it's an invasion of privacy.. the legal way is to go through a judge to watch a suspect who is actually a bonafide criminal. this happened after 9-1-1.. People shouldn't take pictures of people they don't know.. In many parts of Europe it is customary to ask someone if they can take a picture of video...
So if a private investigator is stalking you in a very obvious way then you could say that they are either really bad at their job or they want you to know and they're in trying to intimidate or silence you

Great explanation! As you know, the attorneys and judges know this as well and are very aware of the differences and parameters. They often, just like the media like to play off the ignorance of the uninformed and general public reactions.
In the EP/CP side of the house we run into the same issues with POI's (persons of interest) and clients dealing with the true stalkers and their nefarious intent.

You should gather evidence and get restraining orders on them.

Great separation of the 2. For me it's perfect . Because Im being stalked... 4 months straight. No mental issues ever. But I might be developing 1 because of this crap . Lol. But this large group of people make it so known all day.. all night that I have eyes on me.. they honk twice every time they leave and then another car immediately takes their spot. They all walk a dog that always needs to stop right next to my car window... Literally every time I park on a street... Within 2 minutes someone will come around corner with a dog and stop right at my window to let dog do it's business. If I go to my house ... Then the entire....entire time in there all I hear is the same exact 2 cars.... Revving and speeding up and down my street... And circling around my house. If I drive to a remote area within minutes a Cessna or drone will fly back and forth at very low altitude non stop entire time... The second I go into any store or food place they come in as well . None of them will even flinch or acknowledge anything I do or say to them. Even when I've lost it and started trying to fight one. I'll be saying horrible slurs and beating on my chest type attitude and they will act as if I am a ghost. It's frustrating. But I'll say things so bad that usually 9 outta 10 guys would fight me... But not these robot like mo fo punk bitches. They also had a weird solar salesman try to get into 4 different people's houses I know to take a look for free panels... And his story is sus... His name has changed also but same guy and his solar company is not too Be found... I'm threatened .... Tired... And feel helpless. But my hostility and my despair are increasing for sure... They might need to start treading more carefully
What about a PI having your surveillance without your permission

People with bad intentions can hire a P.I. so because you've been paid money and have a license that makes it acceptable? No. It's violating a persons civil rights and expectation of privacy.
I feel if you want to put a person under your surveillance, then you should be required to have a court order with having just cause, because your imposing on his freedoms. This is no different then inmates under surveillance walking about in a confined area. What if he pulls out a gun and shoots you dead figuring your a criminal who's been stalking him during the night, and finally getting in close quarters of a parking garage or whatever he fears for his life. BAM! Now, who created this mess?
Private investors also try to always stare at you.. so you'll get desensitized to their stair and they can catch you doing other "illega" stuff ..

Citation §16-11-62 of Georgia's state law code makes it illegal to “observe, the activities of another which occur in any private place and out of the public view.” A “private place” could be any room of a home where a guest has a reasonable expectation for privacy.

It is illegal to surveillance someone in the privacy of their homes. They can go to prison & also be registered as a sex offender. Anyone who's desperate enough to stalk someone is bored & broke with no life.

Hold on just a second. So you're telling me the difference between stocking and surveillance is a person who is stalking wants to be known. And people doing surveillance don't want to? I'm sorry no. Mike's husband stalked me for several years and he didn't want to be known cuz he know if he got caught he'd go to jail cuz I had restrain her on him. So does that considered his surveillance because he didn't want to be known? Come on that was a dumb answer.

Can you help me with my cyberstalker?? He won't stop!!! His a P.I. and his in law enforcement which has access to a computer forensic so me gmail accounts are constantly hacked!!! Yeah you can’t do that. Licensed as a PI doesn’t mean you can forgo the constitution. And confusing the terms surveillance with stalking is your little trick. Although, if an ex boyfriend waits for days outside a former girlfriend’s home and only takes pictures is that illegal? No, because he doeant have a PI license? Let’s face it, PI have the right to park and take picture of video in public just like everyone else. The difference they do it for profit and the reason they don’t get sued for privacy invasion is because use they caught a subject in a criminal act that nullifies the gathering of evidence. Be smart

Thanks for the information, I have an ex-narcisistic friend that is very wealthy that hired PIs to do surveillance on after I defriended him. I know ethical PIs will not normally do this unless they feel there is a valid reason. I have no idea what he has told them to convince them to do this. This guy is a con and a horrible person. Example of his character and ego- he laughed telling me this...he said he took his wife down to Mexico and gave her cash to go shop at market and that while she went to do that he went and had sex with a prostitute. This man is disgusting! I moved out of state to get away from this jerk because I was tired of being followed around by PIs this guy hired. Well he found me and has hired apparently some unscrupulous PIs here. They know that I know they're following me and I'm sure my exfriend does and that this is severely distressing me beyond belief. I don't know how to stop it. Can you please tell me how I can stop him from stalking me via these unscrupulous guys? He's apparently wiring money from out of state or paying these guys somehow
