Agreed, it's a much, much more capable and better sounding synth than the Moog One. Nothing against Moog whatsoever, but the Peak is leagues ahead in its capabilities.
@@2112jonr Sssshhhh - Don't say that too loudly or Novation will hike up the price. I've never used the $6000000000 Moog One, so I can't compare... but I do use two Peaks in tandem and they're terrific.
Felt very fortunate to have placed an order for a Summit a couple of days before the firmware 2.0 drop. It was a great surprise. It's a fantastic synth. It's quickly becoming my favorite poly. A desert island instrument.

Very inspiring video. I look forward to try and control multi patch stereo field with my expression joystick. Think it might be a very cool thing to do. I’ve been away from home a month now and not going back until May so these deep dive videos are so nice while waiting to update and play with the new features.
Thankyo Calc! Excellent ideas to use with the summit. After buying one a year ago, it kind of makes my other synthesizers redundant as the summit really can do all the sounds I need.

After updating my Summit using Windows Components it shows ver 126.778 in the screen of Summit and in Components it says Summit is up to date running Vcustom build 2126 FPGA 778. Is this correct? or shud it say ver 2.2 in the Summit screen? I am confused.....help....thanks anyone
That sounds correct, apologies for any confusion this may have caused. With firmware version v2.2 properly installed, the reported version in the system settings should read, 126.778.
When I type a search for th-cam.com/users/results?search_query=novation+peak+sound+design, I get video's for True Cuckoo, Kraft Music, NovationTV, Ricky Tinez and Loopop. These are all great sources, which helped me in the past.

@@NovationTV Settings menu, page 4, midi control - Local on/off, and Arp>Midi on/off.. these are global settings and this particular one doesn't stay as you set it when you turn the unit off and back on
@@ScottMcDavid-Music Hi Scott did you ever figure out if it's possible to do this? I plan to use the Summit as a master MIDI keyboard but if the Local Off setting isn't saved after power cycling it could be a deal breaker for me unfortunately.
@@mchataway Hey Mark.. Unfortunately, I have not gotten a straight answer yet, but I have a feeling that parameter does not, or can not be, saved. There's always the possibility of a firmware update that would give that ability. And I wonder if the Summit would do it... I don't know.
Am i the only one who gets nauseous listening to synths with wild stereo filtering? I felt that way listening to the moog matriarch and thought nothing of it until now. Its a blessing because now i feel no need to upgrade to a summit or a matriarch.
I will often run my Matriarch on two separate mono channels on the mixer and then use the panning control to slightly collapse the stereo field. Luckily, this looks much easier!

The new delay settings are a fantastic addition - great presentation and exploration Calc - perfectly compliments Enrique’s film.
Popular at the studio we have 2 peaks and 1 summit. And they run 24/7 Huge for Film scoring I would say it is superior to the Moog One.
I have both and it's almost painful to admit this but I think you are right. Moog One hasn't done much for me personally.

Specifically which settings are you hoping to save? Generally speaking, Arp settings are stored per-patch.
