I wonder how many parts it needs until Sony provides such a case

Yup! I don't think they ever will! But if they can make a gaming cooling fan case for the new Xperia 1's, shouldn't be too difficult to make a lens holder case. Maybe they see the gaming sector as more profitable and larger than their mobile photography/videography one...

After watching ur video i made my own with a 67mm holder, which didnt cover all the sensor and camera, still letting the glue to dry, hopefully it will work perfectly

That's really great to hear! Which glue did you go with? Also what's the temp of the environment you typically do photos and vids in?

I use UHU liquid contact which is the only one I have on my hand, not sure strong enough or not but it can stick my shoes and car parts. All day summer here around 27-30, but mostly taking photo only.

I uploaded my case to Google drive, after trying only the 16mm lens will get blocked a little bit at the corner, but others are perfect

i really want to see your perfecting the design for the case and maybe try selling it.

I actually made this hoping Sony or a company like Moment would see there's interest out there for a custom filter case for the PRO-I and Xperia line and make their own. The issue I have is a durable case when the sides are removed to allow cooling of the PRO-I. I could make a metal one but I lack the resources to form one. So I thought it's best I just share how I made mine and others with Xperia smartphones could try to make their own.

It's a good idea but a 3D printer is better

Yes a 3D printer would create a cleaner and probably more durable setup. But this one is for someone who wants to test various setups first before committing to a final one. I wish Sony would have come out with something similar to Xiaomi s Photography Kit, especially if they promoted the Xperia PRO-I as a pro-grade camera!
