- Andy got a sneak peek of the new Kobra 3 Combo from Anycubic and this printer is impressive. This multi-color printer can print in 4-8 colors with the ACE Pro that also works as a filament dryer! The open print bed has a build volume of 250x250x260mm and a print speed of 600mm/s (max). We definitely got some smooth and fast prints from this 3D printer.
Watch as Andy explores the printer and gives you his impressions and a full breakdown. We still have a few months before we will see this hit stores, so keep watching the channel as we do more updates and videos. Let us know what you think of the Anycubic Kobra 3 Combo in the comments below.

I do find it a little disappointing that this video neither shows it actively doing multicolor printing nor shows the up close print quality of the benchy. It’s not that I expect it to be bad, I just feel like it would be beneficial to actually see it doing the thing it’s advertised to do.
Seems to be a common trend with all the new AMS style systems, I've yet to see a single one of them show off a live print and its performance.
The company itself doesn’t even show it 🤦♂️🤣
They're not allowed to show that part of the printer yet, i dont know what is so suprising about it?
Anycubic sends out these review printers and tells everyone to not show it, in the video you can clearly see Filament poop and the Multi-Color system is a replica of the A1, so use your imagination (and videos of Bambulab's A1) to know how it works.
I find it hard to find REAL reviews on 3D printers in general. So many are basically commercials.
Bro, i didn't see any multicolor printing experience in your video. Am I missed any part of video ?
6 minutes in he talks about it.
@@MyBrokenStuffoh the part where he plays B-roll of plugging in a USB and slicing the benchy, but no shots of the multi color printing 😂
Hello, ... I have a question, in several parts of the review you indicate that it is multi-material, does that mean that you can introduce flexible filament into the dryer? ...or does the flexible have to be fed outside the dryer and without the PTFE conduit?
Thank you.
I hope they make a shelf to put the AMS on top. Even if I need to print it out for myself. I will gladly replace my A1 Mini with it!
Anycubic has delayed showing this thing in action for a long time. Something sus is going on
Does the faster 600mm/s allow for thinner layers? Would this printer be good for printing things like game minis or small items with tiny details?
which version of anycubic slicer are you using? I tried to download it but on my PC it doesn't give me the choice of Kobra 3, I wanted to get the hang of it before the printer arrives
YES Please... More Slicer info... like setup, compatible with various brands 3mf files ????
I concur.
I was considering upgrading from my aging Anycubic i3 Mega to a Bamboolab A1 with AMS Light. However, I think I'll wait a few more months before making the switch.
get a bambu lab a1. I have one and it's amazing. I upgraded from a modded ender 3, and it's honestly amazing. I have zero regrets.
Brand loyalty LOL
I Love the new anycubic Kobra 3 combo. I have the Kobe’s 2 neo. This will we a big update
An AMS and dryer is mad. I wonder if the AMS on this thing works with the bambulab one. They have the same plug so maybe?
Hang on, are you saying you can ONLY print to it through either wifi, OR USB Stick? These things STILL don't allow just printing through a USB cable connected to the computer as a standard feature like regular printers do?
Making me want this so much more!!!
"Cardboard spools and plastic spools with no issues" but then we see one of the cardboard spools has a big scar on the rim, of course I have no idea if this was caused by the unit, but what I do know is that when they are at that stage in the Bambu AMS it is not far away from problems.
I thought they would have addressed containing the purge material rather than just pinging it off to wherever!
I hope they calibrate the purge more accurately than the AMS, transitions from black and white are the only time you need a really conservative purge.
I would like to see if the electronics have a fan to protect them from the filament drier heat and if there is one how quiet is it?
But purging any other way than flinging it wherever would require them to have a little imagination and come up with something for themselves, and that honestly just sounds exhausting...
im torn because im in the market for a multicolor printer buts theres quite a number of multicolor units out and that a coming out this year so its gonna be hard to choose. Its gonna be a good year for multicolor printers.
waiting to see if they will sell the printer in a 'max' stand-alone version.
Yeah I was wondering the name thing
This is quite the upgrade from the Anycubic kobra 2, I thoroughly enjoy my kobra 2 pro
Can't wait to see how elegoo is going to make a better and less expensive version.
I like the modifications they made to the “ACE” but the printer doesn’t seem much different than an A1. Having the multi material unit a dryer though is something I would love for my AMS to have so hopefully Bambu will add something like that to their next generation lineup when they come out with one.
Based on the ports and software, they might be working on an idex version, which would definitely bring some huge opportunities to the form factor.
Hey! Great video! I cant find out how to use anycubic slicer on my kobra 3. Theres no option to select it. Can you help?
I don't think the Kobra 3s are out yet.
And for the purge tower, couldn't it be done taking advantage of a stl, so that we wouldn't care about the color and thus not have so much filament loss
Just a shame that it doesn't seem to have the reduced waste color changing implemented..tho you did say it was a prototype, so hopefully they put that in as well
It's like, we have the same 90% features in almost all 3d printers. There's ONLY ONE FEATURE THATS NEW, and we want to see, but no, "Its a direct drive, bed slinger, bed size XXX, top speed XXX"...
I don't know if Anycubic is sponsoring this video, but the only interesting part about the ACE is the benchy that showed that it can't notice if theres a failure in loading filament.
Anyway...
Can't wait for Anycubic to discontinue this in 12 months like they do all their previous printers, should make a nice paper weight with no options on getting spare parts from any where.
What is the gross weight of the kobra3 combo ? Printer with ace
according to their website 13.8kg(9.2kg for the printer, 4.6kg for ace)
Ok, just ordered one.
i mean..its nice it doesnt have to retract as much for the AMS..but it SUCKS that theres 4 tubes going up to the hotend.
Ima wait because I got a couple p1s but I'd lie if I didn't say I wasn't curious.
This review is amazing. I love my Kobra 3 Combo.
Ok, Microcenter. I love yall but this was not the video to make to try and help this unit. As of 5/15/24, there are zero videos of these preview units making actual multi color prints. Just a lot of continued hype over the ACE saying it will and then doing lots of single color prints. I have a sinking suspicion that these early preview models either can’t do true multicolor. Either because it’s not finished and they were rushed out the door before Creality pushed out their K2 with multicolor. Or, Anycublic wing clipped these ACE units in the software until closer to the release date. I really want the ACE unit to work and bring competition to this market. But I’m feeling doubtful right now.
Can the ams work with TPU?
AMS units and anything that use a bowden tube (including a reverse bowden for a direct drive extruder) isn’t gonna be great for TPU because it has a tendency to stretch in the bowden and build up tension rather than feeding properly
Man I hope they make it open source the anycubic app sucks
The only think that sounds nice is the build ij filament dryer. Other than that its just a straight up A1 copy
If it’s cloud only that is a hard no for me.
They better retro fit the kobra 2 max with the mmu
A stick to flash the firmware and a head that fits.
@@VMTDesign Pretty much they should just make an upgrade kit with new head, the mmu and maybe push the firmware from their cloud server or flash drive.
Considering the 6 pin non usb connector and anycubics behavior diring the launch of the kobra 2 max (shipping amazon and ebay orders before the preordered products etc.) I'd heavily doubt that.
I like the random note of open sourcing this thing. Thats a major thing that would I think put this a step above. Though this video is terrible for literally showing us a 3D multicolor printer WITHOUT PRINTING IN MULTICOLOR. As others stated neither did the anycubic videos show a multicolor print in action. Its suspicious as hell.
To anyone new to this, be careful not to fall for the advertised printing speed gimmick , the “ up to” printing speed is never what you can print at and not even close. The printer can reach those speeds and print but not decently. They say “can print up to X speed” but dont say it will be a decent quality. Every single company does this so look up reviews to find out the realistic speed you will be actually printing at if you care about speeds.
Drucker soll für abs nylon usw sein. Ohne Einhausung sicherlich weniger.
With a coupon this printer is $419...With the ACE. Anyone buying the A1 over this at that price is just stupid
What coupon ?
This is no video evidence of the ACE working so I would wait
Second yay
I need a direct comparison between this and the bambu Labs A1 Mini
Yeah rly Skillfull... With Multi Color Printer singel Color Prints ... xDDD
do yourself a favor if you are going fdm printer just get a creality k1, or k2 save some time, neurones and money
Why tf do you have to remove some of the wires to change rhe nozzle? This is a stupid design
Wrote a code for ma ender 3 oro made my own ams
An IDEX printer is better.
the only good thing about this printer is its open source supposedly
That thing will never come close to print at 600mm/s.
The bed looks bad, it sits only on one profile of alu in the center instead of having 2 large slits on the sides.
This video is advertising.
600mm/s c'mon, how's aboot stop with the clones and blatant lies. The only way that thing is going to consistently run 600 mm/s is by putting it in your car or chunking it across the yard!
This video is a waste of time, it doesn't show how it prints in multicolor, so what's the point?
this is just an advertisement for the Anycubic. Ill wait for some respected reviewers
another a1 clone disappointed by anycubic
They are ALL from China. What is your point?
How is this a a1 clone. Looks like any other bedslinger like ender3 or prusa
The a1 is a clone of a clone. 😢
Looks like they copied the some of the best ideas from the A1, like the toolless hotend, and of course the AMS. Hopefully it works well. But I'm sticking with Bambulab.
i get sick of this kind of click bait....
Stop the blatant lies. This will not print "up to 600mmm/s" 😂😂😂😂 Absolute scammers.
That's what anycubic advertises so of course he will say it, maybe also based on the script that Anycubic gives to reviewers.
How can this be used in everyday life . Making toy elephants isnt productive .
you can use one water soluble material, one strong and rigid, one less strong but uv resistant and one elastic. so you can make cheap, strong part with some built in gasket with it. pretty awesome
trash review
it trash just a cheap clone
Bamboo cost a lot. Anycubic cost less and give you a good product. What s the problem guys here in the comments below? 😂😂😂😂
Ask me the same question in 6 months.
@@Defyant123 i ll do
My first printer is actually no lie a photon zero SLA printer from the trash and I'm amazed how well it prints and how robust it is
Dunno what ppls issues are, I have Anycubics, including this one being reviewed on the way and they're great.
