    I am thinking about picking a couple of these up to try out. Do you think the 13.2 lbs. of drag is enough?
    I used some Procaster-X 103HA's in the past but their drag was pretty weak. In terms of castability, they were a pretty good value back when I was younger.

    Hi Jim, thanks for the vídeo. Are you still using your Zillions or did you sold them? I´ve allways been more of a Shimano guy but decided to take the plunge and bought myself a 9.1:1 for my dedicated pitching setup. It´s going to be my first mid to high end Daiwa, looking forward to hit the water and see what it´s capable of. Keep up the good work!

    Great video man, any tips on tuning the Tatula CT 100P? It has been the most frustrating reel I've ever had. I have the 5.5:1 with 12LB Fluro, tossing heavier cranks is fine, but anything light I just can't adjust it enough to make it stop.

    • @TackleJunky81
      @TackleJunky81  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks bud! In my opinion tossing lighter lures has a lot to do with the rod as well. Check your specs to see what its rated for. 3/8 or so would be the lightest i'd toss with a medium heavy cranking rod if I'm looking for any distance at all.

    Just bought a CT100 to pair with a new 7'3" No.8 Blackout on Monday. Can't wait to try it out when bass season opens in June. Any tips to set it up for mainly texas rigged creature and worm fishing?

    • @TackleJunky81
      @TackleJunky81  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +John Mercer 15lb floro is the line that I would run fishing those baits. Keep your tension knob fairly tight, you just want the bait to hit the ground and the spool barely to turn once it hits. Keep the breaks higher and back them off 1 at a time until you get the hang of it.

    Ct yields less line about 20 yds less, spool is slightly lighter but not necessarily better at tossing small baits, deceivingly smaller palms very similarly to original, ct is 0.5 ounces lighter because it has plastic sideplates original has aluminum sideplates and has a true cranking ratio 5.4:1, ct doesnt, braking and casting is nearly identical, overall the original tatula wins, superior frame, can be found cheaper online than the ct

      That's a tough call. They're both very comfortable to me, however, if my hand was smaller I'd go with the CT, but with that being said having a bigger hand the 100 is very comfortable as well.

    • @TackleJunky81

      Type R has a lighter spool, but as far as performance goes I don't see much of a difference. Type R looks cooler and that's the main reason I bought them, lol I did a video comparing the Tat, Type R and Zillion...check it out.

The SV spool should let it handle lighter baits better but that's not what I'm using it for. The Tatula (Tactical from TW) is still my go-to reel and I probably won't get another ZIllion.

It actually holds ~20 - 25 yds less of the same line. I had both and spooled both up with line. If you can and want to, try doing a comparison as I want to see what others come up with.

    Been a sub for a while but I have to be realistic in saying that Id love to see some how to fish or how to modify certain baits and lures. You said to @Mitchell Blair that it is hard to please everyone with these videos but I disagree. With a video like this you are targeting a tiny audience of people who are your subs and people who look this stuff up. 95% of your subs don't have these reels or are looking into them so why make a video. I know some will tell me to shutup and unsub if I don't like it but I enjoy watching some of your videos and Im just giving feedback.

    • @TackleJunky81
      @TackleJunky81  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Nathan Hardy I appreciate the feedback Nathan, but I disagree with you. Daiwa is one of the more popular reel brands and I would bet that the Tatula was a top seller last season. I absolutely love that reel and that's one of the reasons I made this video and I except this video to get lots of views. I typically don't make the how to fish vids as I don't like to record while I fish, but I really have a good variety of vids if you check all my playlists. I appreciate the view and comment, thanks for watching!

    I'm going to be real for a second. I think you're an awesome guy and loved your older videos. As of late, it seems like your videos are leaning more towards a salesman approach rather then a teaching fishing techniques. Can we get back to just fishing?

      I appreciate your feedback, but it's hard to please everyone. I didn't think I had a salesmen approach in this video and I'm not affiliated with Daiwa at all. I've really never done just fishing videos. Thanks for watching!

      Dude its a gear review video. And there are more people out there looking for solid information from trusted fishermen on gear selection. Hes not sitting there with a pro tour shirt on with a bunch of brand names on it telling you every brand on his shirt is the best product on the market. He reviewed a reel that a lot of people were skeptical about buying and needed some trusted input on it.

      There were issues with the first gen. the tws was grooving, but that issue was taken care of.

      TackleJunky81 what is grooving? I am actually having a problem with my line breaking when I cast, at the reel, up the pole, when I go to set the hook. and yes I have put brand new line on 3 different times( seaguar invisible. 12lb. ) my husband has the Tatula R , I have the Tatula CT. I love how the reels cast and very smooth. have caught 3 8 1/2 lb. and 71/2 lb.large mouth on it. just disappointed. ( and yes I checked the eyes on our rods carefully. Do you know if Diawa will fix this?

      Wendy Brown the original tatula had an issue with the TWS grooving and it would fray the line. That issue was taken care of with that series. I haven't heard of any issues with the CT.

    I can not understand your language because it is Japanese. Tatura CT Do you superior to Tatura 100?

      Performance I don't see a difference. CT is a tad smaller, more comfortable and cheaper.
