- FIRST LOOK: The 2025 Camry is getting a ton of attention and Toyota brought some big changes. On the outside you will notice an all new design, 19in wheels, and fill LED lighting. On the inside there are upgraded materials and technology. Under the hood is a 2.5L inline-4 hybrid power plant. Is the 2025 Toyota Camry a BETTER new sedan to buy than a Honda Accord?

I will say it again Joe Toyota ate Hondas lunch officially. Toyota has demonstrated the lesson of slow and steady wins the race.
I think you are spot on the money!
You definitely have a point but the 11th gen civic is one of the best looking cars on the road
@@MrTLX Absolutely. I'm just talking in terms of the midsized sedan class.
@@MrTLXyes. Civic > Corolla (except for the Corolla hybrid option) and Camry > Accord
Accord always ate Camry for lunch
USB Type B was already taken :) It's what most people call a printer cable (rectangular connector shape). Google Image and you may recognize it right away. Thanks for the vids, Joe!
I owned a 2005 Camry LE , had it for 13 years and never had to do any repairs . Great gas mileage ... cold Canadian winters warm inside the car . Excellent .
I’m a Honda person but this time Toyota did an excellent work on the Camry. It looks very Lexus like which is a nice touch!
I think you are so very right Luis!
Because Lexus made by Toyota
@@PPaul03No shit Sherlock.
@@jihigh482 Acura made by Honda
Infiniti made by Nissan 🤷♂️
@@PPaul03 Well yeah, but in the past not every single model shared any designs that will make them a Toyota look Lexus like
Looks good especially the interior. The only zonk for me is the discontinued V6.
Nobody buys a V6 in a Camry. Shut up already with this V6 comment 😂😂😂. It's not 2003, nobody needs a V6 to get to work and go to their grocery store.
Blame the Government, not Toyota!!
not even a zonk these days anymore. at least they’re offering awd hybrid. we’re getting into some modern times where we can get better overall efficiency with less. same with computers and their efficient chips like the M3
Uhh hello none of the competitors offer a V6 anymore... Honda, Nissan, all ditched their V6 offerings....and Nissan killed the Maxima, their last V6 sedan...
@@truckercowboyed2638Kia offers turbo 4 cylinder engines making decent HP and torque.
Those are the wheels to get. Looking forward to a TRD version. I would take this over the Accord.
1000%
It’s so ugly it’s unbelievable
I’m an Accord guy (currently own 2015 coupe) but for a sedan I think I prefer this! But then again, I’d probably hop into the Prelude before getting a sedan lol. I’d need to drive this Camry, I’ve preferred how the Accord feels to drive over it but that may be different with a TRD version
I saw where it said that they’re not making a TRD version in 25
Anyday
Thankyou for the constant vids 💜👌🏼
You are so very welcome!
Hopefully Toyota makes a GR Camry with that 2.4 Turbo and AWD with 326 HP like the Tacoma. Great video Joe!
No no no sorry man, a Camry should not have such power. A Camaro yes, GTR R35, WRX yes.
@@Flying-Fox-of-Snowy-Mountain wdym the last gen Camrys already had 300hp they will for sure have at least the same
Just to commute and go to the grocery store? 😂😂
It's Heartbroken that the V6 will be retiring. The Toyota Camry is my most dream V6 Vehicle to ever Exist and Listen to. If I was a new owner of Toyota, I wouldn't mind having them still go on forever, or I would invent a Toyota Sourced V6 Hybrid as a wonderful replacement for the V6 Camry.
A trd can still be announced
It was forced by government regulations to get rid of v6 engines. Toyota didn’t have a win in this fight. They have to comply, otherwise we will still have the v6 Camry.
If that’s your dream then you ain’t dreaming big enough 😂
@@jraheemjefcoat429he didn't blame Toyota, he just claimed that it's heartbreaking.

I miss the v6. This looks like a Camry and prius had a rough night.
I'd say she looks more like a compact version of her Lexus LS 500 cousin.
No v6, no thanks.

Fukkkkkkk toyota is caving in!!!!
Much better interior dash than last version 👍
Gloss black is atrocious
Still outdated compared to Kia Hyundai and not to mention warranties
Are you talking the original or refresh of current gen?
@@alanwignall3016either way.
Better to have Toyota spent more on the actual reliability than the tech aspect compared to Hyundai which are 🗑️ in reliability.
No way.
The second exhaust cutout on the rear diffuser makes me think they have a TRD/hybrid max version in the works. Overall, great redesign.
Although it’s not a major full update and shares a lot of similarities with the last gen (side profile especially) I think they did a good job making the car look more modern and the interior is way nicer than the last version. AWD and Hybrid is a nice option now too especially up north in Canada. Gas mileage and traction in winter is a nice touch 😂
Aside from the side everything looks different
@@Brian_Eugene_Lee They're not bringing the V6 back. EPA emission rules are dictating switch to hybrids and EVs.
@@Brian_Eugene_Lee buy a used one. It’s not gonna get better. Hybrids aren’t the issue. Especially Toyota ones. Tried and true tech that lasts. Full EV’s on the other hand…
@@Brian_Eugene_Lee A future TRD or GR model may get the Hybrid Max powertrain from the Crown Platinum. That will be even more powerful than the cancelled 3.5L V6.
Ive heard it be called a "facelift"
10:01 the "usb type b" name was already taken by a less popular square-shaped port. it's usually the type used in wired printers or audio interfaces for people that need super high quality audio.
great review though! my dad had a 2012 and 2017 camry and i have fond memories of them, i think he'll get a kick out of this new generation. the new design kinda reminds me of the new prius/prius prime generation.
Hopefully an AWD version will be available. This Camry looks awesome. I love how they kept it looking sporty, unlike the new Accord.
yes it is, just not mentioned in this review.
yes it will be. no longer a canada exclusive anymore 😎
I’m pretty sure the camry is coming standard AWD hybrid
2:57 ur wrong@@kHoPhAe
How can you say the new accord is not sporty actually?
Great review. I have the same OCD with headrest! I’d love to see this on throttle and particularly on throttle in snow with AWD.
I’m a Honda guy and own a 2019 Honda accord this Camry is 🔥🔥 idk what Honda is thinking we their new accord 🤦🏾♂️ maybe it’s time to switch to Toyota 🤔
Wow, this new Camry is squeezing into the Lexus design language and I absolutely love it. 👏🏼 It’s mature, cleaned with enough details and textures in all the right areas. Interior is very clean and elegant. Exterior also elegant. The only thing I hate is the exhaust area, I would have given it a cleaner more modern look. But great looking car, hats off to Toyota once again.
I get you about the exhaust area, however I feel the only hideous part of this car is again the oversized front end. It would be perfect otherwise.
The redesign of the Camry looks great and it has Lexus vibes. I'm starting to notice that Toyota is redesigning their vehicles to look similar to Lexus vehicles in general.
Joe and Lori and keep up the good work and I love the video 👏 👍
Color matched looks sooooooo good. Wow
Just on looks alone the Camry win hands down over the new Accord. HMC should not have let Stevie Wonder run the design department.
I love my 21 avalon and I love this camry and it looks great but geez the bugs that will be covering the front white grill will be to much.
I’m actually curious how the Camry LE will look like and the standard features it will bring for being the base trim.
Yea when will Toyota release pics/details on the biggest volume seller the LE Trim
Especially in Biden’s HORRIBLE ECONOMY, most people can only afford the “LE” model. Shame on Biden..,, shame shame shame……
I want to see the SE trim since XSE never came to México on current gen Camry
We just bought a 2024 Toyota Camry Hybrid SE Nightshade Edition....❤ it!
I would have to have that front grill protected, my experience with Toyota paint ( in white ) is that it's going to be a bunch of chips after the bugs hit it a while.
hello Joe, Did the XSE trim have a heated steering wheel and heated rear seats option ? thanks. very happy to hear its got E-CVT
The colored grills looks amazing
Finally! I LOVE IT! I have the corolla SE I actually love that but I never liked the camry on the inside how the control panel from the entertainment system ran down your leg and was high up like a cockpit style to tight and enclosed it looks really nice and roomy in there now I like how they did the cup holders and that whole section of the entertainment display very nice I like it I saw one with bronze wheels? It was a 2023-2024 but the rims looked like those they were bronze if that is possible I'd like that and might trade mine Rolla in for a Camry!
As other comments already stated, USB Type B already exists, and is used primarily on printers and disk stations (external stationary hard drives) and is square in shape.
I think they call it USB Type C though since it combines the best of USB Type A & B into one, as A is usually an output connnector and B is usually for input, where as C can be used as both output and input. For instance, you can use the same USB C on your computer and on your printer, and connect them using a USB Type C cable.
Nothing better than passing a Mad-Lib around during class and reading the result to everyone after afterwards😂. This is basically a
Lexus sedan. Great review.
In '85, we used to 'white out' our CRX Si and Jettas, so I'm glad to see it making a comeback..... just have to hit those wipers with some Pep Boys white paint and it's 1985 all over again!
Please stay in 1985 and never come back!
Makes sense that everything has been blacked out the last couple years that white out becomes more of a thing. Didn’t know it was a thing in the 80s
I love the exterior!! Bravo Toyota!!! Another fantastic thing they did was ALL BLACK interior including upper pillars and headliner!!!! 10 thumbs up Toyota!!!
I actually like the updated Camry without the blacked out c-pillar. Looks very classy
Looks like the ES fun that angle in the beginning
The usb ports are A and C because those are two different standards. USB A is the old rectangular one you're used to and USB C is the new smaller oval type that you commonly see today.
Looks good but super silly that the manufacturers cannot have it set up where you can see the displays.
💯💯keep going
I wonder if there would be an option to paint that front grill black
That wheel design on the XSE is what I would go with
Toyota is going to crush the competition with this car
Yeah not gonna happen 😂

Correction sir, last gen Camry XSE with the 4 cyl has quad exhaust
So did the previous Gen Camry V6 had functional quad exhaust and the four cylinder did not have functional quad exhaust.
I need to get this asap ! I love it
I love it. 😍 I’m upgrading my 2020
Yes the side profile looks very similar, they should have at least added self retractable door handles to make it look a little different.
That’s what you’ll probably find on the next ES. Gotta distinguish the luxury version somehow
Retractable handles are real pain to use though.
The previous generation camry have a quad exhaust in some 4 cylinder trims as well, the sports trim,, regular 4 cylinder trims got quad exhaust
Hi Joe "Raitis rides" I just saw the Asian generation 9 Camry it comes with the gas hood struts like my generation 6 Camry SE. I do not know why Toyota cut costs on that however, the new generation looks nice.
that body color grill is beautiful.....ithat headlight without the yellow accent led is better
This definitely looks way way way better than the current accord inside out...id have mine with red interior ❤❤❤
can't wait to upgrade to this camry xse awd coming from a 16' civic ex!
I will say that I don't care for the color matched grill on the XSE so I'm hoping that the SE trim will have a black grill instead but I would want a red interior which you have to go with the XSE to get :(
don't you feel the red is a little loud and dated?
@@aaronc9983yes, I wish it was a darker red with some black accents like how BMW does it on the new ones. It’s still sporty but it’s not embarrassing to be seen in above the age of 25
Hate the fact it lost hp instead of gaining hp. I have a feeling more ppl will buy used 8th gen camrys then the 9th gen. But i heard they will come out with TRD version of this and its going to have more power.
I HOPE SO I NEED IT
USB Type-B is the interface that was only used on older devices that was on the receiving end of power like DVD drives, smartphones and digital cameras. Type-C is fully bidirectional both on PC/power supply side and device.

Last generation I believe all XSE's were supposed to have quad exhaust. On the other models only single exhaust for the 4 cyl.
I love those wheels but I wish that the grill was gloss black except on the ac vent get rid of the gloss black
Very nice in white ⛄️
It does really pop!
What I'd like to see is factory built-in Dash+Rear+Side Camera's & recording while driving and Sentry modes (parked).
Is this 2025 model released in 2024 or wait for legacy features to come in 2025?..
when will it be available to buy? May 2024?
After being remotely started from the key fob or the app, will the car engine get shut off when the door is open or unlocked? Thank you
That is a great question!
235 hp
The Camry is The most powerful sedan in its segment
Hats off Toyota
Well, there's actually B-type connecter as well. If you look at the B-type port, you'd understand why it's called B-type port. The A-type port is called so because it is somewhat shaped like a letter 'A' with flat top instead of the pointed top. C-type port is called so because half of its side is like a letter 'C'. I know this nomenclature method is weird. But that's how it is. Funny indeed.
Joe. Do you like this or the new Sonata as far as exterior styling?
The underwhelming Sonata will be DISCONTINUED AFTER 2025.. IT IS UNRELIABLE JUNK..💩
The main knock will be the front fascia. It's not sharp or sporty looking as it's previous generation.
the not very visible old accord inspired rear lights is better....of all the shapes in the world, why did the designer choose to make the rear light somewhat similar to the old accord...... which is even a direct competitor
Beautiful car has all the features that I’m looking for except for maybe a 2 L turbo lol. But I’ve come to realize that that’s the world we live in now unfortunately, at least for the next few years. Coming from someone that has a 2020 accord sport 2.0t this is a way better car for the money than what Honda is bringing you the table right now just looks but department alone heated ventilated seats, panoramic sunroof, all-wheel-drive in 30 more horsepower. It’s a no-brainer. I found my next car lol.
This is so very true!
Don’t need turbo when it’s a 2.5 with hybrid
Thank you! Finally someone that gripes with reality and doesn’t start complaining like a child that it doesn’t have V6 like if Toyota will come out with a V6 after it hears them complaining…this is the new reality we live in.
@@SweetDrummer2007still slow

IDK about the new grill being body colored..gives me laundry basket vibes lol,..I'd rather have it in that matte silver or whatever finish the emblems are in,..somewhat Lexus-like
The Chinese version of this has a more Prius style front, Crown styles (SUV front and Sedan interior), along with a Nissan Aryia styled infotainment center. They also offer a 2.0L.

Extra electric motor on the rear axle
Headlight /drl area looks similar to that Honda Prelude concept
Wayyyyy better than the accord toyota is stepping up with the styles of their new cars I'm loving it yes sirrrrr💙💙great review man can't wait to see you behind the wheel of this gorgeous piece of art.
Beautiful car. I don't like that they aren't mentioning the MPG on these yet. I hope the LE will still get 52 MPG.
They should have given the same love Toyota gave to the front grille to the rear diffuser that’s a zonk for me
This new Camry it reminds of a lexus gs a lot. I think it's a good move in terms of styling
I just got a 24 accord Sport Hybrid and I’m loving it. Glad Toyota finally made some over due changes. The Accord is such a great car.
Mix of the TX grill & Corolla headlights…I like it 👍🏾
You are so very right! Good call!
Did it have rear heated seats ?
Im currently the owner of a 2022 xse 2.5l, at the time in the dealership they had no v6 available, got the one with red interior etc, i will say this yes, the new design is 🔥 but no v6 and quad tips is a huge let down, to actually out perform honda you need at least a v6 and gr camry with similar numbers… when i drive my 2.5 i can’t really enjoy it completely because is missing that power… just saying this car os like driving a much bigger prios nothing more…
Nice watch your rocking. What kind is it?
Casio G-Shock Thank you for asking!
Will LE have rear seat vents?
Ah man I didn’t get to see you guys there 😢. Hopefully Indycar Long Beach again?
There is a USB b. It's a square connector that you use mostly for printers it's a very outdated so even a lot of new printers today don't have that anymore
It looks really good by far blows the Accord away. When you look at the front and the back it’s obvious that they basically used the IS 350 body and made a few tweaks and toned it down a little bit. It’ll be a big seller.
I have a 2018 se. Looks like i might be trading for this one.
I would love to see the Camry in the underground grey color that’s the color I’m more interested in!
The best color
ikr it looks so good in the 2023-24 corolla
So the one that was ripped off the Audi rs6 which was then ripped off by Kia! All about being followers is what Toyota brings in 2024
Really nice car, dam just wish they had the V6 or at least a 4 with turbo. Not a fan of hybrids due to complexity
Dammm it I just traded my 21 Camry for a 24 outlander if only i had waited a few months it’s looks really nice
I just bought the 2025 Camry LE. I specifically wanted a more settled ride. The LE is not overly soft and definitely not "floaty". The SEs started showing up on out local Toyota dealer's lot but I held out for the first Camry LE that showed up. It is a great car with ample power and good handling. I came from a 2007 Honda Accord EX-L so I am familiar with what could be classified as a "sporty" sedan. I certainly loved that car but now I think the LE or XLE (if you what to spend another $4,000) is the sweet spot. Yes, the Camry beats the new Honda Accords. I drove the "Sports" model (hybrid) and was disappointed since I was pretty loyal to Honda after two Accords. The seats in the Accord are quite uncomfortable (way to thin on support and padding. My LE aftr taxes, option package, extended warranty etc was just short of $37,000. In today's car market I guess the price is acceptable.
I believe that's because the ports are USB-A and USB-C. USB-B does exist but it's mostly used on printers, routers, and scanners.
Not gonna lie that's s pretty awesome camry!
I love my ‘21 Camry XSE. I was considering on buying the new 2025 Camry but after seeing a 360 of it, I’ll pass. I want my car to look as symmetrical as possible. The dual twin tail pipe on the left and right side is the only feature that should never be missing for a sport model. If Camry can find a way to incorporate that feature with an AWD Hybrid engine, I’m buying 2. Maybe 3
Is there interior lighting? Like ambient lighting I mean? 😢
does it have memory seats?
Would be nice to see the LE. But will have to wait
Stay tuned because I will be bringing it to you!
I'm really liking this Camry. I'd love it if they made a Camry Wagon again.
Definitely wanna get this as my next car. It’ll be a massive upgrade from my 2018 Mazda 3
Do you prefer the new Camry over the new Mazda 3s?
