I’ve owned both and believe me they do not sounds the same. Not even close to my ear. The Soul Food didn’t sound bad at all but this pedal is person sounds amazing and it’s way more versatile than a soul food. There is a full range of usable tones.
@@jordandangelo180 I currently use a green rhino (a ts clone) for boost and its a pretty good solution, but it's not transparent, and has a very distinctive mid boost, which i like. I was thinking of trying some kinda klonish pedal, but for the life of me, I couldn't hear the difference between this and the ehx soul food. And for the price discrepancy I can't justify the klon, them being that close.
@@luckyjinxer the Green Rhino is great too. They are all close. I think the amp settings makes huge difference as well as guitar tone and volume knobs. What I realized when I first plugged in the KTR I had and then sold, was that it had a ton of gain which most people don’t talk about. I mean it really had a lot of gain I was shocked. The used prices are crazy high but it’s a good pedal. It’s one of those pedals if you really want it you could sell a bunch of pedals you aren’t using to get or lower the cost of. I used to never sell anything and then when I started I didn’t miss any of the pedals I sold. But personally I always loved the TS808 sound and think it really adds a lot of sustain. I use a Ceriatone Centura now instead of the KTR. Way cheaper and it’s identical in every way to a Klon including look, feel and even the instructions are written exactly the same. You even open the two screws in the back with a dime as opposed to a screwdriver which is cool. I watched Chris Buck use it with the Cali76 and it’s just endless sweet tone and sustain without a lot of gain when your playing clean or edge of break up. The Cali76 is another amazing pedal. I sold that and than bought it back. One of the few I regretted.

ただ通しているだけで太くなって本当に驚いたのを思い出しました
頭一個抜き出るとかそんなレベルではなくあまりにも一強だったのですがこれは迫るかも？
テクニックのひけらかしのようなプレイではなく音の伸びやバランスをきちんと伝えてくれるのでとても分かりやすくて参考になります。
TH-camにはずっとコードをジャカジャカ弾いてる人・ドヤ顔で速弾きばかりしている人や弾き比べの際にエフェクターを並列させて「いい音です」とかうんちく語っている人が多いので全然参考にならないのですが、この人は生音もしっかり出している上で比較されているので機材の性質をきちんと伝えてくれる数少ないレビューアーの一人だと思います。
What’s the guitar player’s name? He’s the best. He has great taste. I’ve watched all of his demos more than once.

イイ音で弾きますね。ペダルがいいからいい音なのか、腕がいいからいい音なのか・・？うまい人がレビューすると機材のよいところをより引き立ててくれるので、自分でもこんな音が鳴らせるんじゃないかとつい勘違いしちゃいます（笑）。
