In order to gun a here my state of Washington Usa, all you have to do is fill out what is called a 4473 form, go thru a background check, and if your approved and have a CPL (conceal pistol license) you get the gun that day, if you don't have a CPL you get the gun in 10 days.
Pretty good review. I have a gen 1g17 I bought in 1987 and it has over 100,000 rounds through it to date. Only a handful of malfunctions. Minimal parts replacements. It's simply the best.

Next time you should consider clipping the microphone to your collar and running the cord under your shirt (or maybe wear a button up shirt that would make this easier to do) it looks more professional.

Love my g17c My edc pistol. It will go bang when i needed it to. I know there are better systems out there, but i trust my life and love ones lives to a pistol i trained with.
Ok video, nice camera work and decent basic information. There is more the the Safe Action SYSTEM them just the trigger though; to include the Firing Pin Safety and Drop Safety. That being said, it's true that they all mechanically integrated, and the latter two require the trigger to be physically moved aft, which requires the Trigger Safety to be disengaged first. I am a proud owner of the Glock 17 Gen 3 and Glock 26. In my honest opinion I prefer the 17 over the 26 even tho it is a lot larger. I also find myself concealed carrying my 17 over the 26, because it feels better in the waistband, even tho it is larger. I run a Holosun 507C X2 red dot on it and it is the ultimate go to war combat pistol. The Glock 26 is a great gun as well, but it is blocky and less comfortable to conceal. I prefer the longer sight radius and full size grip that the 17 has to offer since I have larger hands. Great review!
I agree. This is hard for a lot of people to understand because they have never tried concealing something that big. It’s more comfortable for me to appendix carry a Glock 20 than a Glock 26. The longer barrel keeps it pointed upwards and it doesn’t poke into me as much as the 26.
My dream gun was always a Glock 17, a started carrying concealed daily a few years ago but ended up buying a ruger security 9 and every time I went to buy a Glock I ended up finding something else that caught my eye. Last week I finally got my Glock but it was a 44, my background check was delayed but when it was approved I ended up seeing a Glock 17 I really liked and ended up buying both that day and I love them!
I'm slightly confused, you showed the difference between the 3 and 4's front sight. When I look at my gen 3 I bought new in October the front sight is attached just like the gen 4, do I have a mutt gun?
Excellent video on Glock 17 Gen 3 one of the best ones you could buy if you find one buy it I like them a lot better than the Gen 5 mostly all your policemen in the USA and around the world use the Glock 17 Gen 3 if you find one that's older like the Gen one to buy it they don't have finger grooves but they were good you could get it in a little cheaper too if it's in the original box that just had a small cover you lift off on the top the box alone goes for about two to three hundred dollars today 🇦🇹🇺🇲👍
after shooting the glock 17 3gen, the grip just felt natural in my hand. I was way more accurate with the glock than other pistols I have shot with. by the way, the glock 17 was my first actual purchase. that's saying a lot, I've shot many of semi's, but the glock is the one I would defend my family with. that and a 12 gauge!
My glock 23 has had 2k rounds through it. Only had one failure to eject at about 350 rounds and that's it. I also have not cleaned it until about 500 rounds but I also use the cheapest ammo you can buy at the range.
Just bought it sunday however i have to go out and get a Real ID cause i love in California and apparently in modesto you need it to start the background check so now i need to go to dmv and wait for my id before getting the background check
Idc what anyone says, you can't go wrong with the Glock 17! Not only is it a full sized hand gun, which handles recoil better, but it also carries 17 rounds! That's always a plus. I keep this as my edc and I keep it on my night stand right beside my bed. Great home defense weapon for sure. I also have the Del ton 316 AR-15 as well, but that's for another subject. Nice video!
Would you say that the GLOCK 17 gen3 is still a good purchase today over the gen4,5? Looking to purchase a Glock soon and the shop owner said he can still get them. He recommended the gen 3 because it’s for home protection use, since it’s a cheaper alternative
I’d say the extended slide release is fairly easy to install on this gun with a Glock tool or punch pin. Anyone with basic mechanical knowledge can do it as long as you make sure the slide spring slides between the upper and lower pin. If you install it wrong and put the pins the wrong order then the slide will lock back after every shot. The mag release is a little harder to do imo. Also, there’s one important thing you forgot to mention. There’s 2 other safety’s in Glocks not including the trigger safety that you didn’t mention. The other 2 are the internal firing pin safety and the drop safety. Good video nonetheless!

Lead ammo is no problem if you get an aftermarket barrel that have standard rifling. Ton's of aftermarket barrels out there, take your pick.

I have a Gen 3 and love it. I don’t know why Glock did away with the knurled grip on later gens…I actually prefer it.
