- Will Boris Johnson's last minute intervention make a difference to the election?
The former prime minister addressed Conservative supporters in London last night, in a last ditch attempt to prevent a Labour landslide.
The former MP for Uxbridge was met with cheers, as the crowd chanted his name. He then told supporters that it would be the quote: 'height of insanity' to vote for Labour, and said this about Keir Starmer's party.
Later, Boris Johnson warned that a vote for other parties would be a vote for Putin.

How could such an indolent, low calibre person such as Boris Johnson have made it to prime minister? Expensive boarding schools game places at Oxford for the wrong sort of people. There are so many genuinely brilliant people from our many outstanding redbrick and other top universities who should be at the pinnacle of the UK government but they are kept out by a tiny social clique which advances the likes of Cameron, Johnson, Frost, Hannan and Rees Mogg.

Very low waiting list for NHS treatment, easy access to social care and dentist, no strikes, clean waterways, well managed prisons, schools, emergency services, asylum system, healthy and growing economy,. Fully funded police service. Lower taxation. Efficient agricultural industry, no food banks. When the financial crash hit the whole of western world adopted policy of quantitative easing thought up by Brown and Darling, even the States. Frictionless trade with EU. Respect throughout the world. Now look at us. Nothing works anymore and UK has become unrecognisable. Wake up!
