something I've always come to appreciate in Sonic Generations, was this detail with the music. In the beginning, the classic stages sound very similar to their original counterparts, and the modern versions more experimental and, well, modern. As it transitioned tho, like with Speed Highway, the classic and modern versions of that stage had very similar music, indicating that it was a blend between classic and modern sonic, considering Sonic Adventure was a 3d platformer like modern sonic, but still had spindash and whatnot. As it goes into more recent stages, the modern music sounds more and more like the original, and classic sounds more experimental. Awesome touch that makes this game's soundtrack just that much better.
I would say it's the same with the levels themselves, with the modern versions of classic levels being more experimental and the classic versions of modern levels being VERY different (except planet wisp)
You can tell there was a lot of good potential in 06 if SEGA didn't rush the developers. Yeah the story might've needed some tweaking, but it's mostly the technical issues that wrecked 06's ratings

I know this is old now but yall gotta know that Eggman's plot in Generations was to basically undo all of his defeats, which in turn undoes Sonic's victories and involvements. Meaning since Eggman manipulated the time stream into making himself win in all of the Sonic games, this means Sonic probably never interfered in 06's events, meaning having Elise erase Solaris would've never happened because Sonic was never involved So Crisis City existing here makes sense Perhaps after Generations ended (defeating the Eggmen and the Time Eater), everyone probably forgot 06's events again instantly
The ending point of this stage is unlike all the other stages that are straight to the goal post. But in this one the post gets carried away and there's no foothold in most of the left side of the screen when the goal post is passed.
I'm pretty sure she erased Solaris from existence. Apparently on the Wiki it says Elise, Sonic and Shadow remember 06 but I doubt the Wiki. Elise ERASED a timeline practically, you can't forget it because it DIDN'T happen. Besides if the Wiki is right (which I don't believe because Sonic and Shadow would have recognized Silver in Rivals, the only who shows a hint of remembering is Elise but even then she just had De ja vu and didn't actually remember Sonic) why can't Silver or Blaze remember?

Classic Sonic: Dang, No wonder the Future of this city looks entirely in flames last time i seen one. That looks reminded me back on Miracle Planet when i first travel time... But it doesn't matter now, looks like i stumbled upon new enemies i never seen them before.
I hate that level. I have reasons 1. New people will struggle because I think they really need to show them what the stage actually is before they play, it will be easier for the play to play. 2. It’s very unfair, the wind power is accurate that’s the fair part, what’s unfair is the timing. The level is hard because the time is very difficult to go though. 3. The camera, they really need to make the camera focus on sonic only, but they couldn’t. 4. The major problems of playing Sonic (1999-now) is where you are going. And that’s the problem I’m most likely having. Again they need to make a map about the level so it can be easier for the players to play and not be ranting about how terrible and unfair the game is.

its a shitty level design, especially on that last ones
took me 5-6 tries until I realized there's huge fucking fire tornado and you have to wait it
