One of my favorite memes of all time is one that says something like "let the bodies hit the floor and its raining men are the same event from different perspectives". I haven't been able to hear it's raining men without laughing since first seeing that.
Just saw it, I'm left speechless 🥲😂
You have to be the most likeable bloke on TH-cam. Absolutely crushing it mate.
I know right? Guys just charismatic.
He is really awesome!!
For me its a toss up between him and Mr MrBallen, he does real life horror stories but wow is he amazing at it, even blind people appreciate it as they picture themselves there! Sadly not many real good ones out there and im glad I found this guy
@@BlazeBudsyeah I like mr ballen too
RIP Dave. Drowning pool was never the same without this absolutely great man. "Tear Away" is a song I can have 24/7 on, great sounding and so meaningful for me.
Tear Away is a great song!
i loved grabbing my guitar and playing along with htat on full blast, sadly i now live in an apartment and have neighbors lol
@@jasperbaba same for me. Also the only real motivation to buy phaser as well
@@mosoho my favorite
@@jasperbabaas a drummer, I feel this.
Seeing Teddy trying to sing along is possibly the most wholesome thing ever 😅
We can only count to four!
We can only count to four!
We can only count to fooooooouuuuuur!
Hahaha I don’t know why I laughed at this comment so much 😂
Damn that is gonna stay with me, never gonna hear the real words ever again 🤣🤣🤣
Legend also says that this song is just about the events of "It's Raining Men", seen from another perspective.
My 3 year old jams out to that version every day! It’s a household favorite 😂😂
PSYCHOSTICK! :D Love comedy metal!
In 2001 I saw drowning pool, mudvayne, linkin park, slipknot, Marilyn Manson all in one concert. I was 17 and been a metal head ever since
Jealous
Euuugene! That musta been crazy! Sadly I was just 6 years old back then and only listenend to my mums goodnight tales or something like that.
I don't think you have any option to NOT become a metalhead after experiencing an all-star lineup like that...
Imagine if it also had KoRn . It eould have been the Avengers of metal
Let me tell you something, being the quiet one in school, and having this song stuck in your head so badly you mumble the lyrics in the hallways really gets other kids outta your way pretty damn fast. XD
hahahahhahahaha, yea for sure man😅😅😅😰
This used to be my Ring tone on my phone. I scared alot of people when phone rang out in public. It was hilarious
Lol I had it as mine at some piont also and that some piont happened to be a Wednesday night when my parents forced me to go to church..😂😂😂
When you have a kid that loves this type of music, all you can hear is “I CAN ONLY COUNT TO FOUR”… and yes that plays in my house every day and he screams it at the top of his 3 year old lungs 😂😂
That's funny! Good luck when he's a teenager. LOL 🤣😎
you really need to follow this up with the parody "I can only count to four" by psychostick
5 Finger Death Punch - "Wash It All Away"
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I'm so happy you're happy!
Thank you 🥲🤎
Mate get yourself some rob zombie-dragula. That’s another metal anthem. Or when worlds collide by power man 5000!!!! Love the range of emotion you showcase, you clearly feel your reactions and it’s dope, you’re unapologetically you
Worlds Collide Yes!
that feeling of finding songs from your childhood resonate strongly, so many ive found over the years that just hit you with that "oh fuck this is it"
Super happy you did this song!!
Your level of enthusiasm is amazing im happy you are happy!!
This was my daughters favorite song when she was 5 😅 she stood in the vets once scream/singing this 😂 unfortunately she scared some people 😅😂 (proud mum moment)
😂 I'm so happy for you!
Edit: Yes, there are metal clubs. ;)
I am flabbergasted that you never heard this song before... I guess it really does take time for the music to get across the world
he heard it before, but he didn't know the name of it. Did you watch the video? Lol
@@mendronesg yes he mention that he heard the chorus line in movies in other memes..
IMO this is the only album that exists under the band name Drowning Pool. Once Dave passed it was over 100%. Sinner is an amazing album start to finish and one of the best Nu Metal albums of the early 2000s.
This song was an absolute staple in the hard rock and metal scene when I was a teenager.
It is also a great alarm tone.
This song was in regular rotation on the radio station I worked for when 9/11 happened. Nationwide, stations pulled the song.
Did stations also ban Van Halen's Jump?
How about Crash Into Me by Dave Matthews Band? Learn to Fly by Foo Fighters? Dust in the Wind by Kansas? Disco Inferno? Knockin on Heaven's Door? Killin in the Name?
@@LongandWeirdNameall of these were banned as well, although I’m not sure about Dust in the Wind off the top of my head
@@ZackHamlin1 Thanks. I was just thinking about songs that could trigger a bad reaction from someone looking to get offended.
@@LongandWeirdName you can look up the full list and it’s pretty hilarious. Basically anything that dealt with plane crashes, buildings falling down, explosions, fire, people dying, anything too overtly aggressive or anything too overtly happy. Rage Against the Machine’s entire discography was banned
I love how honest you are like the singing bit is meh but the rest is iconic
a lot of people hate that I say these things but I’m glad you recognise I’m just being honest with you all 🙏🫶
Honesty is the best policy 😊
Saw them multiple times in Dallas but their best show was a New Year's Eve show. Their openers were a little no name band called Gasoline & Sevendust. One of the great things about that show was seeing Gasoline. It was Dimebag Darrell (RIP) Vinnie Paul (RIP) & Rex Brown from Pantera. Probably one of the best, most energetic shoes I've seen
Relatable. Dude said everything I always thought.
I love how fail compilations are your anchor to this song. Your gleeful reaction to discovering it made my whole day. XD
Holy crap, that Tracy Chapman impression KILLED ME. You crack me up, dude.
Now you NEED to watch "Numbers", a parody of this song that is PERFECT.
This song was banned for a while, at least in America because it came out not too long before 9/11 happened. And although the song is about being in a mosh pit, the people who decide things felt it hit too close to home.
Also, to my knowledge, there aren't metal cons, but festivals with an afternoon or a weekend of bands playing live. Been to quite a bunch myself; good times. Though I would recomend not camping on the ground after you spent the afternoon in a moshpit.
Also, I imagine maybe, the rap you listened to is similar to this. Where the comervial releases are alright, but when you dive under the surface, and explore the underground or indie artists, you find so much more. Rock and metal are like that too, and for the most part, you've been listening to the commercial, above the surface stuff. I would love it if you checked out La Dispute. The vocalist is a writer and it shines through his work. But people are also hit or miss with his vocal delivery. I once heard it described as emo slam poetry. If this has...somewhat peaked your interest, i would sugges Such Small Hands. It is a short, intro song on their first album and will help you decide how you feel about the vocal delivery, and if you enjoy it, should leave you wanting more. If you do enjoy it, then maybe also check out King Park which explores a drive by shooting where a stray bullet hit an innocent kid in the band's hometown and the aftermath of it. Or Edward Benz, 27 Times which is also about an elderly man the singer met and things that happened with his schizophrenic adult son. Or the songs I See Everything or The Last Lost Continent. I tried not giving you too much about the content of the song, because I love your interpretations. I highly recommend maybe checking them out, if even for their lyrical content. Ok, I'm done. Maybe. Oh! How was the concert? Did I miss you talking about the experience?
One hand killing - twelve foot Ninja!
They're an Australian heavy band and we're voted best upcoming band, during covid their music video was the funniest thing ever. Definitely a good music video with laughter, passion, good musicality and all together a bunch of great musicians 🎉
I would love to see this!! Perfect suggestion- listen to this one teddy!!
When this song came out, my dad n I loved it. We would sit next to the radio and blast it till it was over. Good Ole memories
FUN FACT. Our military got in trouble for using this song-"Bodies" was used consistently by interrogators at the Guantanamo Bay detention camps in 2003, and was consistently played over a 10-day period in 2006 during interrogations of Mohamedou Ould Slahi while he was "exposed to variable lighting patterns" at the same time
The Scene from Jet Lei's film The One, this song hits so hard :D
How is this not in the playlist for your Rock Journey? I just binged the list and now I'm wondering what else I've missed out on because it didn't get added lol. Absolutely loving you journey into Rock BTW 👍👍👍👍
LOVE this song, SO crunchy (guitars) and the pre chorus and chorus are awesome!!! I however do like his clean vocals haha. R.I.P. to singer Dave. Thanks for reacting to this, you're so precious Teddy 🥰🥰🥰
Oh snap ! This dude cracks me up hahaha! But on a sad note , I was at the Ozzfest where the singer died . So I saw their very last performance . RIP Dave Williams .
Got a signed cd at their release party from back when record stores were a thing. Saw em multiple times. Still tear away when the mood strikes.
Great fucking reaction dude!
I used to see Drowning Pool in Dallas a lot way before they made it big. "Tearing Away" is just amazing. I still have one of their original CDs from then before it was tweaked and mass produced. Its still in amazing condition and locked up tight where it will remain. Man. Thanks for this Teddy.
You should check out the band Psychostick. They're a comedy metal band. Actually did a cover of this song, called "I can only count to 4". Pretty good for a laugh.
I just found your channel Teddy and it’s made me dig out so many of my old metal albums again, I could be late to the party but have you reacted to any Sepultura yet? Brazilian metal in the 90s was a game changer, (Roots Bloody Roots)
i can't be the only one to remember one of the chorus's was 1 somethings got to get out 2 somethings got to get out 3 somethings got to get out now!!!!! let the bodies hit the floor
Sadly the lead singer Dave Williams died on August 14th 2002 due to a heart condition
From that day I didn't listen to them amymore. That album Sinner yes but from that day not anymore. I'm not saying the new singers Jason and others are not good but it is not the same.
Being honest as someone whos a lifelong metal fan and remembers this song coming out (aging myself here), I dont think many people are that arsed with the verses. I've always felt its a song with verses for the sake of it, just to get us to the chorus and watch us all go batshit - and I'm not slating that btw, it's a song that gets played at every single metal night for a good reason.
Theres a good metal club in manchester called Satans Hollow. Another in Wolverhampton called Planet. Been to both a lot and loved them. We have festivals rather than conventions.
Nu-Metal Classic Anthem. Started mostly by Rage Against The Machine. Then we got Disturbed, Linkin Park, Limp Biskit, Korn, Godsmack, Powerman 5000, White Zombie / Rob Zombie and Godsmack. It was fun as hell !!!!
This song makes me feel like I'm playing Smackdown vs Raw 2007 all over again. Idk if this song was even in that game or not but it captures the feel perfectly
If you want a good laugh, a band named Psychostick has a parody version of this song called 'I Can Only Count to Four' it's fabulous 😂
Its so weird when you hear the full length song of a meme you like. And yes all these songs are all stuck in my head constantly but they take turns being stuck
The first time I heard about this song, was when I saw a TH-cam video with 2 young men singing it on The Voice xD
This was also one of the main songs in XXX.
I love how genuine ur reactions are❤😂
I love that you comment under every video you watch! 😂🤌
Omg look up Snot. The track Snot is great but my favorite is “My Balls, Your Chin”. It’s so fun. They were so chaotic.
Never underestimate a rock/ metal band from Texas. Those brothers find ways to push barriers, boundaries.
I'd highly recommend looking up the videos on YT of this song used as a backdrop for Benny Hinn revivals, it is as hilarious as it is unsettling.
Bro.....I didn't like your videos at first. Now I appreciate you and your style, love of music, and attention to things that make us feel a certain way about a song. I love you homie...keep em coming.
I appreciate the honesty man, thank you 🙏
Bro, we need to get you to a live show to experience a mosh pit. Friendly tip from an old metal head - any band, any time, when you hear that lone cymbal go “ding ding”, it’s about to go down
Bro, it is AMAZING watching you react to these songs!
You need to listen to Dig by Mudvayne (unedited version of course)!
The noise ur making at 7:50 is great. The whole sentence is great. Lmao 🤣
It's awesome to see your reactions on these videos, I grow up with this song,Slipknot,SOAD,LP, all of the nu-metal era and it's the best ever happened to me. still after 24yrs i still listen all the same songs and artist's. You cannot compare any music genre to this one, Nu-metal has so much feeling and it takes you to places!. IF you really want to lose ur mind on lyrics, you should listen TOOL.. Holy F.
Bullet For My Valentine is an amazing metalcore band sooo worth looking into
Hey bud. I’ve been binging your metal content for like two days now. I’m really down in life right now, and watching you discover and dig into the lyricism of my “old songs” really helped me get grounded mentally again and I am so appreciative for that. I was wondering if you could check out some Staind for us. They’ve got a good mix of heavy songs and lighter, beautiful songs that I couldn’t imagine you living the rest of your life without hearing. Of those are Epiphany, Tangled, it’s been a while. I still have the CD case for their album Break the Cycle, which is the album that exposed them to me over twenty years ago now. The way you appreciate voice quality, tone, register, and other technical expertise, I am almost convinced you would be blown away. Please consider this. I know I’m not a patreon member but I feel like 90%+ of your viewers would agree with me. Thank you for your time, if you got the chance to read this.
Rip Dave ♥️ will always be my favorite singer forever
ICANT BELIEVE NO ONE ’s EXPLAINED: this was released around when 9/11 happened- and was banned on radio and condemned for being “ insensitive “ and celebrating violence” . Then the singer died. It was so unbelievable such a powerful new band would get knocked down just as they blew up. Still one of my favorites.
Drowning Pool - Bodies, Spineshank - New Disease, Mnemic - Liquid, SOULFLY - Ritual, Sepultura - Roots, Powerman 5000 - bombshell, Rob Zombie - Superbeast, Rob Zombie - Dragula
If you want to explore different genres of metal, there's a fun project that was done in 2005 (I think) call Roadrunner united.
For their 25th anniversary, the metal label Roadrunner blended musicians from different bands and they all made an album together. My personal favorite is Army of the sun but all tracks are different so you might find a few you like.
There's a making of on youtube that is pretty interesting to watch to start with as it explains the story behind it.
Anyway, keep up exploring, it's so fun to watch you get into songs I've listened to for years :)
Ohhh, I still have that cd. Thank you for reminding me. :D
2010 in Afghanistan this was the song we played every time we left the base to patrol. Really set the tone 😂.
Ahhhhh such a great time to be alive.
That ringing guitar sound is mostly wah pedal, IIRC.
You should check out Pantera Cowboys from Hell. They created a guru of metal called groovy metal. You will diffently like them. Since a lot of groups you have checked out where influenced by them.
Pantera yes!!! Old school and they are so groovy 🤙🏻🤘🏻 one of my favorites. I’m seeing them in August. Well, the tribute tour with Metallica!
So CJ pierce the lead guitarist wrote the song after they had done a USO tour in Afghanistan. they were in the middle of the show when one of the gates got bombed. not sure what unit he said was there but essentially bodies were literally hitting the floor and as it happened he asked some of the leadership there if he needs to stop the show. and they told him no because it happens all the time.
The Navy used this song in recruiting also the military version of this is insane
Dude I laugh at myself when I fall or just trip. It’s hilarious. I wish I could see it from other peoples view. Lol😂
Now check out Spiritbox
Not gonna lie, this is literally the ONLY song I remember this band for. 😂
the music video for this song was the first one I ever saw
My guy really needs to go to a concert and watch some guitar videos how they do some of these riffs.😂😂
This song is in soo many movies! Hahaha
Dude you are freaking awesome! I love your reaction. You made me belly laugh and just smile.
If everybody listened to hardcore metal every day the world would be a happier place!
Me , I need brutal loud death metal to find my Zen.
Really love Danish death metal. Growly!
If you're interested, there's a gorgeous cover from Radio Tapok
This song is such a classic 🔥
Bodies, and it's raining men, are the same song from 2 different perspectives. Heard that someware. Made me laugh a little.
High school wrestling song, really made you ready to kick some ass
This is how American metal heads learned how to count. 😂
Try "All My Life" by Foo Fighters. 50/50 chance you have the same reaction.
One, what comes after one?
Two, what comes after two?
Three, what comes after three?
FOUR!!!!!
I CAN ONLY COUNT TO FOUR!
I CAN ONLY COUNT TO FOUR!!
I CAN ONLY COUNT TO FOURRR!!!
Suggestions Motionless in White, Thoughts and Prayers, Slaughterhouse, Devils Night keep them coming bro!
Im assuming your about a decade younger than me OR its just that Im in Aus and your in England but watching you find music I grew up with is great lol, also I love I found another CROC wearer 😁👍
Croc supremacy 😂🤌
Right On!😁
Woww.. I’m instantly 10 again chilling with my cousins, almost killing each other with sweet WWF moves 😂😂
I second that PANTERA WALK & CEMETERY GATES I think you would really feel that sh#t this is a banger but the depth in lyrics in cemetery gates different level but I'm here for whatever
I CAN ONLY COUNT TO FOUR! I CAN ONLY COUNT TO FOUR! I CAN ONLY COUNT TO FOUR! I CAN ONLY COUNT TO.... FOOOOOOOOOUR!
I can see Jet Li kicking the living sh*t out of everyone
It was also in the xxx movie when he crashes the car off the bridge
Dude man, why do you sound like Scooby when doing the "floor" part?! Brilliant stuff though.
I used to call this my family song. Me & my kids would sing along to it, lol. Still love it
Amazing stuff! Bro you HAVE to listen to I prevail - "there's fear in letting go". Fall down the I prevail rabbit hole please!! You'll love them! The drums and lyrics will hit hard for you with what I've seen you react to!
You should check out Sabaton or Powerwolf. They make a lot of metal music with medieval or world war themes / history in them
If you're looking for a better vocal display from this band. check out - 37 Stitches. Some my favs from this group would include - Rise Up, Tear Away, Step Up, and Enemy to name a few.
Im shocked u never found it earler this track has been used in a gazillion holiwood blockbusters...and so many other rmoder pop culture media😅
Check out Psychostick's parody "I can only count to 4" it'll be worth it.
I'm fricking loving your reactions to metal stuff! 🖤
