Great video. Though the strike of 1919 had a little more to it... Following the Great War and realizing they had been lied to by the company owners(the elite who ran everything) and coming home to less than acceptable working conditions the workers pleaded their cases, and when that didn't work the establishment was shown who held the power. Unfortunately the establishment has worked very hard since 1919, and succeeded, to cause the workers of Winnipeg, Canada, and the rest of the world to forget the power of unity. Workers now believe the corporation has the power without realizing the workers are the corporation. Period.

...you mean was and since this was 1993 it peeked 4 years before the dark age of the late 90's to 2005. It is much better use of downtown today with building and facilities, but the people got poorer and more homeless. So kinda a win lose but who cares it's a Winnipeg--get down, ok we're safe--thing! And did you bring your ID to go to the public libary to step-in --ever! Well you can experience that kinda level of "police-state-ism" there! Plus you can feel safe with consant guards following and watching you and asking your bussiness at nearly every turn. Oh and the cameras, but just to keep us safe--right big brother? I think you can only find that fine high level of security in eastren China outside Winnapig that is. One Great Shitty!

Winnipeg today is a Canadian model city of furture police state enforcment. One native person does something stupid and the rest of society pays for it by lossing more of our freedoms. Also know as Winnipegism!

Architecturally speaking, not much change. Aside from the new neighborhoods, downtown Winnipeg has (to me) a gothic look. Stuck in different time periods but it adds to the beauty.
