Give me a break! This scene ruined the whole 2nd season, totally over the top and unbelievable in every way.
I get that the book essentially turned Reacher into Superman, but Season 2 took what the book did and dialed it up to 11. Halfway through the season I was expecting Reacher to get shot in the head, then a few minutes later just pop back up like nothing happened. The season was absurd, and yes, the book it's based on is absurd, but they could have toned it down some. Not everyone needed to be Captain America
Tell that to Jocko Willink a real life version of this "absurd book series". Also, since when has a tv series NOT been over the top?

I think it went haywire because the pilot ducked from the bullet and shoved the controls downward, causing it to go into an unstable dive.

The scene in the book is even crazier and more ruthless, he hides under one of the chopper’s seat and he just jumps from his hiding spot like freaking Batman, shoots the two goons like if he wasn’t in the air and then he proceeds to cut the boss’ legs and arms, then drops him from the chopper after he begs for mercy.

Robert Patrick is the actor's name, and yes, back in 1992, James Cameron would hire him to play T-1000 for the Terminator sequel. Thus fulfilling his original vision of the terminator looking like a normal run of the mill guy, someone who easily blends into a crowd, instead of the muscle-bound Arnold Schwarzenegger in the first film, someone who definitely stands out in a crowd.
Robert has also had appearances in TV shows like Sons of Anarchy, The Sopranos, Peacemaker, as well as movies like The Faculty.
Nice guy in real life, but he usually plays villains/slimeballs/gangsters in most of his acting jobs just because he has that face that screams "BAD GUY!"

Reacher fight scenes usually have a good measure of believability. This is a clear exception. Why in the world didn't either baddie just flip Reacher's feet out the back? Why the protracted dialog from Mr. Knuckles. Bad screenplay.
