    Thanks for the video and explaining everything so simple. I found you on TH-cam about two years ago, I was looking at how to finish Sheetrock and you were the best at explaining the process, and I have watched a lot of videos ever since!!!

    I did something similar with old fridges faced with pallet fence and filled with rotted wood and soil to plant it. It grows loads of food and I hardly have to water because it holds so much water. But yours is nice to.

    Jeff, I like your videos and I share them with my two sons and by son in-law the tips and understanding of job.
    I am now 70 and in my early day looking up all facts on just building a deck would take me week in time or pick one kits that at lumber yard. I look at a book and say how much time or money will it save me.
    It’s amazing how much you get into videos I enjoy reading comments

  • @kurtc6372
    @kurtc6372 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    You’d be surprised how many people when at the lumber store don’t think about buying material that is the best price for the job.
    Buying 10’ boards instead of 8’ and 4’ boards or all 8’ and having to do a lot of cutting saves time and money. Sometimes it may work the other way around, it might be cheaper to do a lot of cutting and buy a bunch of odd sized boards. You just have to weigh out labor/ware and tear on tools to material costs. I’ve saved a lot of money and job bids over the years buy taking my time at the lumber store and deciding the best option.
    Like your show, been away for a while, doing a large garden this year. Fun watch.

    I have been watching allot of your videos lately and you have explained things very well. I am only 31 years old, but I’m more of a jack of all trades with a slight advantage in plumbing. I am always wanting to understand and learn new things to gain more knowledge. I plan to open a Handyman business up in the next year, once the economy catches back up. I have made all the repairs to my house since I was 21 years old when I first bought it. I work at the VA Medical Center in Facility Management, so I have to know all trades along with working with contractors and engineers with blue prints and renovations.Over the past year I have been able to take on anything residential thanks to your videos and knowledge. Keep the videos coming and thank you for taking the time to explain in detail. I am more of a hands on kinda guy, but the way you explain is awesome!

    Instead of hiding screws by gluing and clamping, you could use super glue the trim pieces at 3 points and spray instant activator on your planter box. Wood glue in the spaces in between. Once you press the trim pieces in place, the super glue activates from the activater and instantly becomes your clamp for the wood glue. No screws needed!

    so for the last side you built. with the other three sides screwed in place. wouldn't it have been easier to make it square if you tipped the box on its side and set the first piece of the last side on the two posts. then after the one screw on each post, put it back on the ground, make sure its level? instead of trying to do that on the ground? or is there some problem or technical issue I'm not seeing that requires you do it on the ground? (which is entirely possible, its 3:30am for me and my kid has cried for a good half hour for seemingly no reason, and i am tired lol)
