Train Tadami Line running through Oku-Aizu in Fukushima.
PR by a local photographer has begun to attract attention both in Japan and overseas, and has been featured as the [Most Romantic Railway in the World] in Hong Kong's South China Morning Post.
No matter where you take the Tadami Line, you can see wonderful scenery, but this time, we took a walk around Honna Station, an unmanned station.

The surrounding houses are lined with old-fashioned houses with beautiful flowers blooming.
    [What is the Tadami Line]
A local line with a total length of 135 km connecting Fukushima and Niigata prefectures
There are few residents along the Tadami Line, and it is said to be the most romantic railway in the world.
    It is a deficit route.
The Oku-Aizu region, where the Tadami Line runs, is surrounded by mountains and is extremely cold in winter.
Due to the snow, the motorway connecting Fukushima and Niigata is impassable.
Although it is a deficit line, it is a very important line as a means of transportation for residents other than cars in winter.
However, the track collapsed due to the heavy rain disaster in 2011.
For several years, the non-service section continued, and it was thought that the line was abandoned as it was.
However, the desire of local residents to restore the Tadami Line is only growing.
Discussions between JR and the local government continued for six years in an effort to restart the service.
With the local side bearing a certain amount of restoration costs and maintenance costs for the railway, the discussion was settled and it was decided to restart the Tadami Line.
After four years of restoration work, the entire line was reopened in October 2022 for the first time in about 11 years.

Semua orang pergi kemana? Apakah tempat ini tidak berpenghuni?

Tadami is one of the most unexplored places in Japan.
There are residents, but they are all elderly and do not leave their homes.
