@robertstallard7836 Many of them debrief after the race and during back to back races they train/gather data on the sim the week prior. Their reserve driver is at the factory doing sim work leading up to the race so that they have as good a setup as possible for Practice 1. Most of them also do video calls now to discuss team issues/performance but you can tell a lot about the lives of these drivers through social media now. Max and Lando were in Monaco the last couple of days and so you can assume the others do the same thing too. They all fly private anyway so it's not like they need to be ready for a commercial flight. As long as they show up right before what they're contractually obligated to be there for they're fine. Most will probably land in Milan an hour before media duties on Thursday since Monaco is so close to Italy anyway.
In 2019, Formula 1 launched its plan to be Net Zero Carbon by 2030. Nearly three years later, what is the sport doing to meet this ambitious target? “Everyone understands the need for change,” says F1 President and CEO Stefano Domenicali. “Everyone is onboard. Some of them have already started this huge plan of investment. When leaders start to do these things, everyone will follow.” How quickly we forget our pledges! I wonder what Stefano thinks of this: The Amsterdam Schiphol Airport to Zandvoordt is a mere 24kms. 8 helicopters land disgorging 30 people, 8 private jets take off with the same 30 people. I hope you guys see the hypocrisy here, F1 pledging Net Carbon Zero by 2030. They are really saying to us: "Don't do what I do, do what I say I will do, but don't look too closely". Anytime Formula 1 is analysed, their statements are found wanting and all bullshit.
..it's how I expected them to travel, the origin of the sport has always been high end and these guys are millionaires and this is more than likely the best way to give them security in travel, but the sport has always been elite, hence some of the paddock entry prices of $10,000 or more...
This is probably the biggest thing F1 could do for sustainability. Although it's hard for F1 to have any input over how the drivers travel when outside work I suppose.

With the industry I'm in, I'm always going to receive negative attention, but we don't have to be perfect to be part of the solution. As a powerful voice in my industry, I have a responsibility to effect change from within Formula 1 as well as all the other activities in which I am involved." -- Sir Lewis Hamilton |
Literally the same ideology people were praising Sebastian for when he went on question time and stuck to his guns despite the Canadian political backlash.
I never understood what my friends meant when they said there are double standards for Hamilton, until I joined the F1 internet/social media community.
‘Good on them’ says Lewis to the Just Stop Oil protesters. As he boards his private jet while looking down his nose at the serfs such as you and me, toiling away day in and day out underneath all of our ‘privilege’ that he suffers ‘without.’
I can respect the others such as Max and Fernando. They make no apologies and don’t pretend to care. They’re genuine. They’re racers who just so happen to be reluctant famous people not celebrities. Who I don’t respect is the arrogant celebrity who happens to be halfway decent at racing. The one who cares about fashion, his A List ‘friends’, his Met Galas and sparkly gown/suits, his weaponization of victimhood (as if he’s some kind of victim), his ‘I feel so vulnerable’ when someone else is burning up in a fire, his…disingenuousness.
Who ARE these people who support him?!! Surely not every British person is sucked into this web of fakeness? There’s other British drivers to cheer for! Do you think Lewis gives a single duck about the average Brit? He can’t stand you! You’re ‘an oppressor’ to him!
Very interesting, thanks for the video. Keep it up! Many greetings from germany!
Isn’t it great hearing Lewis say ‘good on them’ to Just Stop Oil protesters stopping me from going to work or the doctor for my child, as he boards his private jet?
I don’t mind the other drivers because they don’t try to preach to us, but Lewis is not only a hypocrite he’s an arrogant, manipulative hypocrite.
Vettel was the same hypocrite ahole. Likes to ride on his vintage motorcycle collection and crying about the environment at the same time.
How would you like him to travel around the world? At least he’s travelling with others unlike some who are going to the same destination. Yet take separate planes!
@@leonardorossini2505Real climate change activists should use a sailship when going oversea. 🙂
If you take a plane, no problem, but stop crying about climate change and pretending being green because that's hypocrite.
learn some science, last time i checked, the atmospheric composition of co2 is only 0.04%. not even 1% or 0.1% but 0.04% how does that affect atmospheric temperatures? oh and by the way i also checked the density of co2 and found out it is higher than those of n2 and o2 which make up 78% and 21% respectively. this means co2 sinks to the ground and doesn't go up to the top of the atmosphere to block any rays as they claim. it's all a pack of lies. all energy equations include the total mass of particles involved and the mass of co2 is negligible.
tell your friends to stop lying to the kids about the environment.
Ah look a hater spotted and also taking Sir Lewis out of context 😂😂😂
2 less cylinders and a turbo will off set all of that!
9:53 was that last guy DC?
Max's jet is sexy.
Very I am surprised he doesn't fly his own jet
@@lornapotgieter9024. I bet he would love to fly it himself but the team probably has it written in his contract that he cannot! 😅
Super Video , danke
Was that DC boarding Max's jet at 9:54 ?
No, Hassellhof.
Bit confused, you stated in the last video that Albon travelled with Horner, didn't see that here?
yes that was 2022, 2023 he flew different
Singapore was mainly commercial flights I assume
The carbon footprint of the F1 teams is just ridiculous
Co2 is the gas of life
Another fantastically made video and work! Keep following your wonderful passions, having diligence, gratitude, patience and perseverance! Looking so nice.
Good to see Lewis doing his bit for the environment. Hypocrite
Was this sped up a little? That AW139 was taxing quite fast.
didn't see Lewis "taking the knee" before boarding.
hope Greta is watching this video, F1 and the green message they portray to the world, no cattle class for these guys
It’s only Lewis. At least among the drivers.
have a great day or night friend 🤗🙏💕😁@Ronaldo-ue5if
u angry because of jealousy….not u in the PJ and heli
are you 8 years old?@@pcmllc1200
Lewis, George and Toto. Since Monza is one week later, where does everyone fly to : home (Monaco) or directly to Italy? (like #137 and just subbed)
They all go home between races if even for just a few days.
thanks . . home for Perez is Spain during season, I guess . . . .@@shahzebnasir4692
So long as non of these racing drivers don't try to lecture me on being green and saving the planet.
So no bagge check for them? Can be carrying anything
Makes a bit of a joke of cost caps and saving a few litres of fuel to be "green".
When leaders start to do these things, everyone will follow.”
How quickly we forget our pledges!
Nice job
..it's how I expected them to travel, the origin of the sport has always been high end and these guys are millionaires and this is more than likely the best way to give them security in travel, but the sport has always been elite, hence some of the paddock entry prices of $10,000 or more...
This is probably the biggest thing F1 could do for sustainability. Although it's hard for F1 to have any input over how the drivers travel when outside work I suppose.
is that David Coulthard joining the Jet with Max Verstappen? Why?
They fly together all the time, both live in Monaco i believe
damnn money is good
all about that carbon neutral footprint :D
The Jet Lewis gets on 3.06 where are the engines on the plane ?
Did Lando board max’s jet or did he fly separately?
With Max
Given the significant investment why are the drivers taking single engine helos ?
@Ronaldo-ue5if Not interested. Stop your evangelising crap on YT.
all just trying to beat that 2030 Net Zero aye...
But wait, Lewis preaches to me about the environment!
Is his staff all minority and inclusive?
Muppett
V10 cars ? Too much emissions.
P-Jet for every driver? Sounds good to me.
Highlights excess of everything that’s wrong in the world, engineering the heroes of F1
Very eco friendly 😂 and Lewis bangs on about the environment and the worst for this rubbish
This is just sickening to watch. It's truly a circus.
Checo be doin transits in drip holy
Lewis, George and Toto ALL together in the same Helicopter, then ALL together in the same Jet? VERY SENSIBLE! Yes really, that's VERY sensible.
Max’ Jet took himself, his GF, His Manager, Lando, Martin Garrix & David Coulthard…
Hi. I am aware that a private Jet can hold more than 1 passenger. My point is that it is risky to put the TOP 3 and most important people from THE SAME TEAM on the same aircraft at the same time @@Mandykiss4500
I hope you’re joking. Lewis is the only driver who actually PREACHES to us, telling the Just Stop Oil protesters who stop me from going to the hospital, to work and to my kids school ‘good on you’ as he boards his private jet and you make excuses for him?!?!
I don’t care about the other drivers, they’re not shoving eco-ideology down my throat. I care about the one shoving it who thinks he’s above living that way himself because he’s just too good for it.
@@Mandykiss4500. Good for him. He’s not preaching to me.
@robertstallard7836. Teams will often fly as a group.
Dang, i'm surprised they fly on these. One of those choppers just crashed after an engine fire in Miami. people always say "airbus is a top brand and super safe" until your falling out of the sky with your tail rotor cut off by your main propeller
Respectfully, and perhaps your comment is because you're "just a kid trying 2 make it" please think a bit more before you make a comment - suggestion is to reflect before submitting it...Here's your same logic...One car somewhere in the world just crashed, or just caught fire, or just broke down...Should we all not drive cars going forward? All good, take care! :)
ReSpEcTfUllY, These commercial charter companies are notorious for over working and under training pilots. Hence my comment I'm surprised people of such importance and wealth trust a machine that in the past has just failed mid air due to a small mechanical issue resulting in the loss of life. @@aaf6133 an airplane in certain cases can glide under no power. A helicopter just falls out the sky until it pancakes into the ground. There have been quite a few number of affluent people who dont fly choppers anymore due to the kobe accident and others related.
So glad I washed that can of beans before recycled it
Support personnel for all the teams ride Ryan Air charter flights.
Good thing we have V6 instead of V8, have to save the environment and all
I thought they sailed everywhere and wore recycled clothes 😢
Hey, but at least they are saving the planet ! 🙄🙄
HAM has some nerve.
all that carbon footprint bring back the V10 on the F1....we want the sound back
@Ronaldo-ue5if 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Succesion theme song would be perfect
Isnt Verstappen Dutch? Where is he going?
Yes but He lives in Monaco and his factory is in Milton Keynes UK
I so wanted to see Gunther getting on a private plane.
Gunther only travels by Bus.
Wierd, Hamilton sells his Private jet to 'save the planet', then continues to use one. I'm shocked.
because he is smart! he's figured out it's much cheaper to use Toto's jet, rather than his own jet.
Christian Horner arriving to the airport in an Alpha Tauri helicopter... is this because of the cost cap?
This is why I keep flying in holiday. If our elites don't practice what they preach, why should I?
And the fans paid for al of this...
@robertstallard7836 And again the fans paid for al of this... The fans pay from 500 to 800 or more euros to see the circus. Maybe they can cut some cost somewhere an lower the income price?
@@dirk6001 understand your point, but it's a for-profit business and as long as fans pay for tix this is how the world works. It sucks yes, but I bet if fans stopped buying expensive shirts, jackets, and tickets, the prices would drop. Us fans may not like it, but it's life, and as we love F1, we'll pay the money!
and they dare to say that they care about envirement . hypocricy at is finest:D
The only one who tells us how to live our lives is Lewis….as he hides out in his tax haven.
Max, Nico, Lando? I can respect them. They don’t try to preach. They just race.
It’s the one telling us how to live my life while he blatantly ignores his own ideology when it comes to himself despite first class on any Airbus or Boeing 777 being top knotch.
@robertstallard7836 The only one who constantly reminds us poor serfs of our ‘carbon footprint’ is ‘Sir Lewis’. (The very same ‘Sir Lewis’ who prior to knighthood slammed England’s 1000+ year old history as ‘oppressive’ and showed ZERO respect for the rich culture and history of the country he supposedly drives for. (Oh wait! Shouldn’t that country be Monaco? The country he hides out in so that he doesn’t have to pay taxes that are so desperately needed by the NHS and other services he reminds us constantly that we need to pay in to? The very country he attacks constantly and tells to ‘do better’ even as he hides from his responsibility despite having more money than you and I will ever see in our lifetime? ‘Oh but Carlos and Daniel and Max live in Monaco too!’ Oh yes but Carlos and Daniel and Max don’t constantly get on news shows and become outspoken political activists)
Wow, these guys are living their boyhood dream 👍. How can you get angry about this? At the end of the day, it's just people like you and me.
Oh just stop. I know who you’re trying to justify. But isn’t it just so great to see Lewis tell us ‘good on them’ for the Just Stop Oil protesters stopping us from getting to work or the hospital….as he boards his private plane.
You know Lewis, business class is awful nice.
I don’t mind the non-preachy drivers, but the one telling us how to live our lives? He can eat a flesh Twinkie.
Lance Stroll is nothing like you haha
I don't think so.
Very green I must say. These guys aren’t living on a low lying island in the South Pacific.
