It's totally true, no words could ever explain the positive changes you experience when drinking stops completely. Every aspect of life takes a positive twist and it's only experienced once the drinking stops.
    Great vid steve💪

I so wish my friend could have seen your videos, but sadly alcohol took his life last August.
I watched him go through so many of the things that happened to you, so everything you say about alcohol addiction resonates with me. Thank you for being so honest about your struggles. I really hope many people’s lives will be changed by your words.

Interesting fact…The British government took 12.6 billion pounds in tax receipts from alcohol duty for the year 2023/24. It’s about time they set aside some of that money for rehabilitation and education.

When I’m drunk I become highly anti-social, obnoxious and prone to huge risk taking behaviour. And the worst thing is I enjoy it at the time. It’s only when I sober up that I become a scared, avoidant and anxious shell of a person. What scares me most is that the anti-social version could be the real me and that the alcohol just removes the fear to act as I want to. Some people say we are our true selves when drunk and I find that terrifying.

It really is. Being in the condition can open a Pandora box be it taking drugs, arguments , driving impaired to safety issues like falling down the stairs. It’s a dangerous game.

Excellent message today Steven, thank you. Today in the States is back to work after the long MLK holiday weekend. When i was drinking some of my worst hangover awful days were after a long holiday weekend of nonstop binge 24/7 drinking. Today i woke up fresh and peaceful and sober. Your wonderful channel helps keep in focused, thank you Steven. ALSO please thank your talented daughter for helping with your creative graphics. You look amazing mate ❤

Really enjoy listening to your videos each evening, Steve. I really do admire your honesty and genuine desire to help people. And you have certainly been through it, my friend. But you use those dark times and chaotic experiences to help others and guide them, which is outstanding work.
The chaos must have had you demented, mate, but here you are today fit and well with a much happier life ahead of you.
    Brilliant work; well done!

Have you made amends with your ex-wife? The psychological damage alcoholics do to their partners is immense and lives with them for years after the relationship has ended.
I'm not an AA fanatic by any means, but this part of the 12 steps, making amends to those we hurt, is the toughest, but most rewarding.
