    Every single person involved in fitting this kid up should have their pensions revoked and should go straight to prison. This was a literal conspiracy involving dirty cops and prosecution as well as lying, manipulated witnesses.

    I am a serious police supporter and retiree of LE but this is astonishing that South Wales allowed this to happen for no apparent reason and put the blame on the wrong person. Any CPS employee and judge that allowed this altered crap into a trial needs to be held accountable too and should not be trusted with any legal case.The 2 officers that did the interview while violating his rights need to be sacked from ever being a police officer again, especially Mr Grey, what a bloody disgrace.I truly hope it wasn't Chris Grey the current Chief Inspector

      There is and always has been a large degree of police and law corruption in south Wales. Besides the more famous case where two men were imprisoned for life and were in no way a party to the crime. I had personal experience of it myself in the 80s when I did some work there.

      South Wales police need to be held accountable for all the corruption, incompetence and altering of facts that they've repeatedly been guilty of. what a bunch of grubs. one example was that welsh copper that got off scott free after constantly ignoring the ex girfriends repeated attempts to tell police about that dog ian watkins' sick crimes. and what about the cover up of the copper who was strongly linked to that triple murder and house fire - was it cardiff? - but a total shocker with no serious examination of his movements and account of the night, where he was seen in the area by witnesses

    Something very similar happened to me. Charges weee causing death by dangerous driving and failing to report an accident.
    It took them six months to bring charges and only then did they release a compilation of cctv footage to support their case. Even those video clips proved the accident had nothing to do with me. My trial was in October 2016. We went back to court 4 times to get the evidence they had not released. The Friday night before the first day of trial at 5.30pm the cd’s of the case were released. There were 42 CD’s of footage clips. We spent the whole weekend up and used their own footages to go to court. On the 2nd day of the trial the Judge side barred the prosecution barrister and stated there is not enough evidence to even suspect the defendent was at fault. The lengths the police went to were pathetic , the witnesses were coached outside the court room to say there version of events was 100% accurate. It was only the 42 cds of footage that proved every single witness bar one was making up stories. The police even sped up the video of my incident. They even denied the phone call I made when the biker had fallen off his bike behind me. There was not a single scratch on my vehicle. What made matters worse the hidden cctv footage actually showed the poor bike rider was hit by a van going in the opPosite direction. The driver of the van claimed he did not know the bike had hit him. He claimed that he thought he would come
    Forward and say his van had a few scratches but he was a witness against me. The with held cctv footage from Police showed the actual biker striking a van going the opposite way, stopping inspecting the van walking over to the victim then jumped straight in his van and left.
    On the 26th October the Judge ordered the Jury to find me not guilty. This was when I found out that witnesses for the prsexruon can lie and make assumptions sound as evidence and yet when CCTV evidence proves they are mistaken they still stick to the story. And no action can be taken against them as they are helping the prosecution

      This documentary does not go far enough as it is quite common for the defence lawyers to be in cahoots with the prosecution and the judiciary. Rumpole is just a comedic tip if the ice burg. The reality is truly dark and sinister and goes right up to the Home Secretary. I helped my father fight the bastards and win at the ECHR on a medical scandal with millions being misappropriated within Trent RHA and the NHS.
      There were nights I had to accompany my father to his surgery to switch off the alarms in the middle of the night. I would take a baseball bat for fear of him being murdered by shadowy characters in order to stop the exposure of government corruption and judicial criminality at the highest levels.
      I guess we are all guilty at some point and must challenge ourselves to not turn a blind eye and expose all corruption at every level.

    I'm not a lawyer, but I thought a person is tried for a specific crime.
    The fact that he is from a criminal family and has other convictions, would not be allowed as evidence before a jury.I do understand it's hard for anyone, with personal background knowledge, to see Joe behaving so well. But the fact remains, he had to be convicted of this crime with evidence relevant to this crime.It's the job of Police to find that evidence, not manufacture it.
    They obviously suspected, but didn't want to take the time to prove, his involvement in some criminal activity.
    It looks to me like they took the opportunity of having his car on CCTV, near a very bad car accident, to frame him.
    Perhaps each Police Station should have this big sign on the wall: The end does NOT justify the means.

    two cars 1 metre apart (the distance of 3 Laptops lying together) travelling at 90 - 100 MPH and the rear car literally cruises by and turns left immediately after the crash????? Come on FFS. My 6 year old can work this case out.

  • @willicott
    @willicott 6 ปีที่แล้ว +20

    To work out the triangular physics ratio, you need to have specified time, distance traveled - breaking time distance. The equation is as follows: Distance = Speed x Time; however the camera’s need to be calibrated to reflect said. If Joe was travelling a second behind..... or like it was reported at [70pmh - not officially evidenced or witnessed] he would have not only collided with the car in front of him, but he would have collided with the deceased’s car too. Not in the history of physics could this have been possible. To have credible evidence, and evidence that can be legally used to carry weight, it needs to be calibrated otherwise it’s only placement evidence that can be used to detail or ID relevant factors.
    Also you need to have an additional equation: (thinking time over reaction time - before you use the above.......
    Calculate the reaction distance
    Formula: d = (s * r) / 3.6
    d = reaction distance in metres (to be calculated).
    s = speed in km/h.
    r = reaction time in seconds.
    3.6 = fixed figure for converting km/h to m/s.
    Once this has been analysed, then and only then can you have a defining measurement.
    Even if all factors were aligned, Joe, [as reported] would have impacted two cars, and would not have had time to slow, and break, and safely go around the incident. Even in the worst case scenario, and he managed all of this by define intervention, to avoid said collision, the evidence would be in the road in terms of rubber burn into the asphalt, and the debris (rubber fibres) would be on his brake pads and in the air filtration system. It’s not difficult......
    Convicting someone on here-say or using witnesses that are not credible or who false evidence, or who manipulate evidence to suit the prosecution = perjury, cohesion, to name but a few.

      Thank you Janet Willicott for your superior intellectual answer. You cannot dispute science. This is a new case I stumbled upon while looking at another injustice and these cases keep me up at night and I am not even closely related to them. What has the justice system come to?

      All well and good quoting physics equations. To accurately use these you make the assumption that both lads used their brakes at the same time point, had identical cars with identical wear and tear, and depressed the brake pedal with the exact same force with the same laden weight in the vehicle. Add to that the road conditions variability given their different positions.
      So I gladly debunk your physics nonsense.
      My amateur eyeballing would say they do indeed look to be racing. The second lad had more time to visual the car exiting the garage hence the more impressive braking. I'm sure the second car can be seen to shift weight on braking too.
      My amateur tuppence...
      Good luck to all.

    Anyone who has a basic knowledge of CCTV systems would know time stamps are almost never correct. Several factors can cause this such as power cuts, user error, lack of user checks to ensure it is regularly updated etc. Footage freezing jumping forward stalling for a few seconds etc are as a result of the footage encoding and compression in the system and cannot be reverted upon playback. Very difficult to alter after.

    OMG! What the heck is going on here? I am horrified! Oh my gosh, poor Joe! No one deserves to have this mislabeled guilt heaped on their head! How could this so called police man do this to someone? And why? To say case closed? That cop should be incarcerated! And to not only place blame on him for one person being accidentally killed but to say he’s killed before? As if he’s some kind of serial killer? I am so angry and I’m not even living in the same country!
    Also, even tho I’m only half way through the video, how could a jury convict him? Different times on the CCTV and everything! Is the police interview shown to the jury? I mean to hear the cop say he killed again? Or to hear him say, “It’s what you saw” while playing the video back. Didn’t they catch it? Joe was too shaken to have caught these implicated lies during the interview, poor guy. But I’m catching it. Shouldn’t the jury? We’re told to trust the police from little on. They’re there to help. Right? And this mislabeled hero worship is returned by basically putting your trust in a criminal in a uniform. The wolf in sheep’s clothing. How can that officer sleep at night? OMG I am son angry. So horrified. Absolutely stunned.

People of all races are wrongfully convicted everyday regardless of whether they live in America or Britain, it's only the reasons why they were convicted in the first place that vary in extremity between the two countries but in nearly all the cases the police have lied & lied & continue to lie on top of all the lies they're allowed to tell while investigating a crime. I think it's this fatal flaw that makes it easier for them to convict an innocent person; almost giving them the right to do that....

    This is all so vile, absolute disgraceful of that part of the Welsh police, if only he had the same solicitor who was giving his reactions to all that happened, it would’ve been a completely different story.
    I don’t know what date this was, I hope he’s out of prison now, and I hope he sues the scum police officers involved, and gets all the apologies and compensation he deserves. Not only were those police evil, they were total cowards to go for somebody’s innocent son AND I bet they obtained all those witness statements the same way as they tried to obtain a statement against Joe from his ex girlfriend, with blackmail.

  • @tompahdea5799
    @tompahdea5799 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    In hindsight we can see that what was advocated by the police is not consistent with the facts--not evidence, but facts. Evidence is what is of the case and anything else that is found that has nothing to do with the case is a fact. It is true but it is not applicible. Sometimes people take facts and make then fit the case rather than illustrate the case. That is what happened in this instance.
    People get caught up with the "explanation" to solve a case. These people may also have the influence to bear what they think is only fact and make it evidence. The activity of the time does not necessarily make it possible to second guess the "evidence". And if it is the police that is gathering the evidence and then authenticating it then what do you expect to come out the other end? You cannot change lead to gold. That is what makes me so leary of authority--what do they do; knowingly, in order to take care of what it is that they think should be done to protect society. You do not protect society by accusing and convicting the wrong people. That is victimization.

I didn’t even have a small fender bender let alone commit reckless homicide! I’m completely blameless! As the saying goes, the evidence doesn’t lie.

    I’ve watched 5 mins of this... the kid was racing someone else and this resulted in a fatality. The time stamps are irrelevant. It’s not difficult to still put them in the same places, because a second is a second.

      Karl Eldridge so let’s take two that it gives... 20:36:03 and 21:10:24. One second later, they will be 20:36:04 and 21:10:25. So it’s quite irrelevant where they’re at because you can place the vehicle on the road at an exact place. It would then not be very difficult to plot his route, with timings and speed. Some random geezer going “he ain’t going 70” when an expert will have worked it out mathematically to calculate his speed.

      Okay. So over all its a fair cop ?? There are some issues with the doc in that CCTV footage portions aren't clear. They need some graphics ( a doc maker has told me ) and they need to be clearer about what they represent. But I also look at the distance between the cars. I also think even if... IF.... there was some element of racing involved - would you give 5 years to the person driving behind ? As well as this do you discount all the other elements ? There are quite a few.

    Corruption yes ok, but in the end, the guy could of stopped and checked if these humans beings were ok, after all, he is a human being himself, isn't he ? Never mind the stupid party, go and check if these people are ok ! What is wrong with society ? People are to busy to even stop and check when they see such a horrible crash, sometimes it takes a very long time for police and ambulance to arrive, and yes sometimes going and checking could save someone life ! Of course if the person has a broken spine moving the person could paralyze him but you should ask first if the person is conscious if they can feel they're feet ! if the car is on fire and you can get them out, never mind this step, better save the person and paralyze them then to leave them burning alive ! It is very sad to see that we live in a society were you see people post videos of people lying on the side of the road dying while the person is filming and doing absolutely nothing to help.
