This is such great information Nathan. So many people who want to work from anywhere but stay stuck because their certificate is specific to one country. But now you've mentioned it's a global passport, I'm sure it helps so many accountants!
Hi Rachel. Thank you for your kind words! You're absolutely right. The CMA certification is a "global passport" for accountants. It's a great opportunity for those who want to work from anywhere and expand their professional horizons.
A full-time degree offers a broad foundation in accounting or finance, while credentials like the US CMA or CPA are specialized certifications that focus on specific skills and knowledge, enhancing your expertise and career prospects in those areas. I have an awesome resource that’ll give you a lot more information about career and salary potential as a CMA. Hi Valeria. The CMA certification is a great option. This certification focuses on management accounting and is internationally recognized, which can open doors for you in corporate roles in finance and accounting. However, you should keep in mind that to fulfill the educational requirement, candidates must have a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university OR a professional certification. You can check if your institution is accredited here: univ.cc/world.php If you cannot locate your college or university on the accredited listing, contact IMA at ima@imanet.org. I posted an article on my blog that explains each of the requirements. You can read it here: cmaexamacademy.com/cma-certification-requirements/
Hi. No, if you've already passed your exams and obtained your CMA certification, you won't need to retake the exams just because you forgot to renew your certification. You'll likely need to catch up on any missed CPE credits and pay any overdue membership and maintenance fees to reactivate your certification. It's best to check with the IMA for specific reinstatement policies.
Hi Nur! AI will be integrated into everything so accountants will greatly benefit from having a deep understanding of AI technology. I posted a video here on my TH-cam channel on this topic, you can watch it here: th-cam.com/video/XcszzSB0xTw/w-d-xo.html
Hi. I understand how challenging international job searches can be, especially with visa sponsorship. It's a common hurdle many face. Consider focusing on companies that are known for sponsoring visas or exploring opportunities within global firms that have offices in your country and the USA. Networking and building connections in your desired industry can also open doors. I wrote an article regarding US immigration and work visas that you may find insightful. Check it out here: cmaexamacademy.com/accountant-immigration/ref/nathan/ Also, I’ve written an article that goes over how to optimize your resume and LinkedIn profile. Hi. To pass the CMA exam, you must score at least 360 out of 500, or 70% overall, between the multiple-choice questions and the essays. 75% of your overall score will come from the MCQ section and 25% from the essay section. You can find more details about it in this article I wrote on my blog: cmaexamacademy.com/cma-exam-passing-score/ For more specific questions about your exam, please contact the IMA directly as I don't have access to candidates' exams.

What to do when your 3 year membership expired and you still didn't passed in any exam .and need to attend the exam ?? Plz reply. I searched all over internet,i couldn't find any answer for it . Plz reply
Hi. The only cut off date to consider is the 3-year window from the date you paid your CMA entrance fee. Candidates have up to 3 years to pass both exam parts. Also note that one of the requirements to earn your CMA is to have an active IMA membership. I would recommend renewing your membership to continue your studies and sit for the exam.
Hi. Once the CMA entrance fee is paid, candidates have three years to pass both parts of the exam. That doesn’t mean you need to earn your CMA in three years. But it does mean that, if you don’t pass the exams within this window, you’ll have to pay the fees again to buy yourself more time.
