The economists you see on TV or read on the papers often do give only generic outlooks. You first have to ask if you pay for that advice. Since you pay nothing when they dispense their “views” on TV or the papers, what makes you think he’ll share with you the real crux of his research? The economists you see talking on Bloomberg churn out detailed analyses and end them with specific investment recommendations. They’re for the consumption of the paying clients of the financial institutions for whom these economists work. These economists’ real day job are with specific teams within the investment management, investment banking or wealth management divisions of the financial institutions and their year-end bonuses reflect how much and how often their research and investment recommendations contributed by their research have made the right calls leading to profitable decisions for their employers and for their clients. Their day job isn’t to be talking heads on Bloomberg and it certainly isn’t to give free advice on the cheap on TVs and newspapers. On my personal opinion fengshui is more like some common sense thingy. Not about any qi, fire, wind or whatever shit they've said. Like you don't put a glass of water next to the electric sockets. It is also not right to equal Chi to energy.... ancient Chinese use the term chi to as a general term that encompasses what they feel and its not meant to be a specific thing, it is the English translation that called it energy. When Chinese say your chi doesn't look good, it doesn't mean someone can see your energy, it merely means you look weak, liveless, unhealthy etc which can be measured by modern science. I believe you get this chi = energy very wrong and too narrowly using English interpretation.

Great video. i have one more to add - although nothing to do with the CHIT CHAT session... Have you noticed that every Feng Shui master has different interpretations given the same animal sign? It therefore cannot be based on science. For one particular sign, one master claims luck is bountiful while another claims its a 'sway' year.
Feng Shui is not science lol, it's superstition. Being a practitioner in a science related field, saying feng shui is science or "environmental science" is an insult to the entire scince umbrella

If you're referring to how most people typicalview God as, a divine power that watches over us and intervenes, answer prayers, etc, then no. But if it's a God that may have started the whole cycle of nature, then im not rulling out the possibility that there may be a God. Just that im more convinced with how physics explains nature and how it came to be.

Hmm. Feng shui is different from fortunetelling, and almost all fortune-tellers know that prediction based on the zodiac signs is never accurate because it is only 1/8 of one's bazi. It is only for convenience's sake that predictions are done based on the 12 signs, like constellation. I hv no understanding of feng shui but to discuss it based on a scientific perspective is like aliens judging humans. It could be pure hoax but some research into it would be much better than negating it thru thermodynamics lol, just my opinion
Feng Shui IS A SCIENCE on how to tell things in a way that make people give you money by believing that there is something there when there isn't any.
Much like energy, FENG SHUI can also be measured. But the unit of measurement is by dollars, Ringgit and other major currencies.
And there are those who are Masters in Feng Shui that measured up in the millions like DJY and there are those who are amateurs who are broke because they haven't yet mastered the science!!!

Jason, scientist uses the term energy to explain why things changes. It is a concept. It does not means that the energy concept cannot be widely use for non-measurable quantities or other contexts.
This, I agree. It would depends on which context you are speaking of. Words are just combination of few symbols with a pronounciation and meaning was given to the word by human. Therefore, context of the word "Energy" need to be defined first before comparison. My two cents.

Be mindful of your karma, do good and avoid evil karma. Karma will take care of the rest. No need to worry about fengshui. It is also not right to equal Chi to energy.... ancient Chinese use the term chi to as a general term that encompasses what they feel and its not meant to be a specific thing, it is the English translation that called it energy. When Chinese say your chi doesn't look good, it doesn't mean someone can see your energy, it merely means you look weak, liveless, unhealthy etc which can be measured by modern science. I believe you get this chi = energy very wrong and too narrowly using English interpretation.
