It depends on the bar and the time of day. Some of them are free earlier in the day. I love to stay at the Kimpton. It’s a little outside of the main strip so it’s quieter and it’s a really nice hotel.
I've never paid to get into a honky tonk. I like the classic bars where a lot of the musicians got their start. (Legends & Tootsies) but there are a lot of new ones. Seems like every country singer is opening a bar. I love the Gaylord but it's pretty pricy. If you don't stay there, it's a must visit. Rental car is necessary in Nashville.
@Positiveenergy68 Thanks for the feedback. I'm looking for the music. I found a sweet spot 2 blocks from 5 points pizza. The older noncommercial places is what I'm looking for.

@@tonyvalle794over in east Nashville is a little place called the 5 spot which I really like. It’s much quieter there than the strip
