I live south of Nashville and whenever I go downtown for anything at night I always here the amazing talent! I need to go there more to hear people play!
@@timothythornton6624 it is central to most music studios. It’s more geared to country downtown but all over Nashville there’s many pop, country, rock, indie, etc. bands and producers. It’s quite amazing. It’s like how Hollywood is more centered around movies and tv shows
My issue is so many entertainers want to play that pop country crap. I go to Broadway to hear real country music. These guys seem to be killing it with traditional music!
@@timothythornton6624 it’s been one of the premier destinations for live music, music venues and the music industry since the 20s. Such an excellent city!
I'm just a yellow Japanese, (it's ok to mention it, 'cause actually I am.) Surprised by Nashville musics are such VIVID ones. I love this. I'm interested in American (not commercial) music by the movie "The thing called love" , played by River Phoenix etc.
You should come. This place is unlike any other in America, maybe the world. The passion and the spirit for music is so pure - every single bar has a band in it and they all have their own style. You can get lost in the spirit of it all. I've only been once but I plan to go back soon - and it doesn't matter where you're from, the only thing that matters is your love of music.
I mean, what ever happened to bands playing their own stuff with the risk of the crowd not liking it? But I do not need an answer. I know the answer. These bands are doing it so they can split the $500-$800 a night.
So, I mix covers and originals and it works out pretty well. You want to connect with your audience by playing something familiar to them along with your own work.
@@KJ4VGAor you can stay home write your own stuff and hone your skills make a demo then cut a record like back in the day …was good enough for Cash and Waylon.
@@Uaintfirsturlast That requires getting very lucky or knowing the right people. If you realistically want to make money, you're going to have to play covers. Cash and waylon may have been able to do it, but you dont hear about the 1000s of others that didnt work for.
LOL! I live here and work down there. This is NOT the la creme de la creme I ASUURE you! However, on Lower Broadway, it’s usually pretty bad. The MAGIC of Nashville happens in the studio.
Where's the COUNTRY MUSIC that many people travel here from all over the world to hear and get heavily disappointed?? Most people have heard that Nashville is supposed to be "COUNTRY MUSIC CAPITOL OF THE WORLD". I live in Nashville, I hear most everything except COUNTRY while walking along Broadway. PEOPLE IN OTHER COUNTRIES, IF YOU WANT TO HEAR "COUNTRY MUSIC"... STAY HOME AND PUT ON A CD. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME & MONEY!

@Ray Wellman Music and Art Many musicians in Nashville start by playing covers around the city. Many don't write their own songs.
anyone knows name of the one right after wagon wheel?
Semi-charmed life by Third Eye Blind
All I can see is that all of these bands are cover bands.
Unless youre already a big act you pretty much have to play 90% covers to make decent money playing out.
Exactly playing for the masses of drunk tourists
