Everybody in the world can do American accents, because USofA movies and TV go everywhere in the world. Probably kids in Hong Kong or Rio de Janeiro can do a better "inner city" accent than most Caucasoid USofAians.

I have followed Melanie’s career since the beginning and seeing her in projects that are getting spoken about is so exciting. She can do any genre! Her character in Away We Go was amazing. There was a particular dance scene she did that was so entrancing and heartbreaking.

It's crazy how even the most devoted fans of hers can sometimes forget she is from New Zeland and has still jer native New Zealand accent.. I absolutely LOVE HER. In everything she's ever done.. she is amazing woth accents also.. I remember in Coyote Ugly she had that south jersey accent down perfect lol and that's a hard one to get right sometimes.. she's that good that people can't even tell she is doing a fake accent for her role! I am so so excited that she is FINALLY getting the roles and the credits with admiration that she has for so very long deserved! She is said to be the NICEST and most down to Earth person in Hollywood, and she is also one of the MOST talented, you KNOW she will always give 110% and nail everything she commits to perfectly no matter how big or small the role is.. she had such a tiny part in The Last of Us but she was so amazing even for that small part she stole that episode and she was the main person for that one! She is lovely and truly deserves all the appreciation and respect she is getting g for her dedication and amazing talent!

I'm watching the Hulu true crime drama she stars in called "Candy" and she's terrific. One of her best portrayals was a number of years ago in the film, "Heavenly Creatures".
