One of the suggestion from my side: If your port of entry is different from your final destination and you have a connecting flight inside USA, then please make sure that you have a good layover at your port of entry. Yesterday, I almost missed my flight because immigration, customs and security check took so long.

If layover is less than 2 hours then it might get stressful. One of my friend had 1hr 20 min layover in Newark. Although he made it but he literally had to run to reach on time!!

I'll be traveling to the US in the next week but I still don't know where I'll be staying there because I haven't signed any lease or enquired about apartments specifically. So when they ask me where I'll be staying should I tell them I haven't decided and let them know my university address or is there anything else I should say to avoid trouble ? Also can you please make a video about crime and safety around the the campus or in the US, what precautions to take to be safe? Thanks for the help, appreciate it.
@@sreejags I did not get an answer from Parth. But, I've been in he US for 2 years now so I can help you out based on my experience. At the immigration counter, they will mostly ask you simple questions about you or the university like ""what is the name of your university?" or "which city is the university located in?". If you don't have a house address let them know you don't have one or usually the Indian students there help you out with accommodation initially, so talk to them about it beforehand and tell the immigration officer the temporary address. Nothing to worry about. As for the crime, you can google about crime in your city and the police department of that city will have crime map that you check out.
