Thanks Helen. That means a lot. I th8nk it's more that I can tell that I'm not right when I watch myself. Most people wouldn't even be able to tell but I can and it bothers me

hello, dear! i want to encourage you, son. i've walked the path of this song. i took the valium, prozac, etc. and ended up screwed up. i only say that to say this, you got your head on straight, you've figured out that drugs will never be the answer, no matter if your dealer wears a white lab coat or jeans & t shirt. also, songs like this from ren is one of the reasons (inho) ren is loved by so many sick/crazy renegades, because it so obviously comes from a place of experience. this song (one of my personal favs) sounds like valium feels. valium was like a braingasm, don't move-just enjoy it. soldier on everyday, dude!! you can do this (life). kathleen bts renegade

His vocals are so much like Sting. This guy is so talented, so brilliant, and so original. He can sing all types of music. There are lots of videos of him and his buddy busking on the street taking requests. His lyrics could easily be made into a Broadway (or West End) musical. The depth of his thought is astounding.

Lots of exercise, (your dog will love you if you have one!) and see if you can even find time to get in a garden, go to an art gallery, walk through the local flower market, or just something pleasurable and different to what you normally do. Get back to grass roots and do some local community work for even an hour or so. Keep putting one foot in front of the other and eventually you will get to the top of the hill. Nice to see you back and enjoying more of Ren's songs.

I’m sorry to hear you’re having a tough time lately. Hopefully things get better and you’ve got a support system around you. Don’t ever go through it alone if you don’t have to. Cheers brother.

Hope you feel better soon 🫂
Also please check out Ren’s song Crutch feat. Bibi. It is an older song from before he was finally correctly diagnosed with Lyme disease and was written after a breakdown following multiple emergency trips to the hospital. It is heart wrenching and absolutely stunning. The way Ren imbues everything with so much authentic emotion is special.

Wonderful reaction and appreciate your openness. Ren was recently interviewed by Zach Sang and made a comment about Valium being the worst drug he was on because of the withdrawals. Back in the 50s-60s it was called Mother's Little Helper. Criminal i would say. A pill to fill the emptiness of life.
I hope you feel better soon. We DO understand .sending love.

Really enjoy your Ren reaction videos. I totally understand how you are feeling..... This song feels like it was made just for me! My meds give me relief from nerve damage and chronic pain....... I was golden for several years before i realised that it felt like i didn't exist anymore..... Just going through the motions of everyday life with a fake smile...... I reduced my dosage, no longer golden. I feel some pain but i'm almost human again.... Thanks

Your disclosure was so articulate - I'm sorry that you're going through something right now. Your insights are incredibly acute - I guess that our pain acturally allows us to be more empatethic. Take care friend ☮

So interesting to see your starting off this reaction and then finishing it fully engaged and more invigorated. That right there is part of the beauty of Ren's music.
Music that speaks to us through the fog and gives us something to hold on to; even just a glimmer, can be a life saver thrown to a drowning person. I feel that is what separates Ren from other artists; he speaks an underlying truth that we identify in ourselves. We feel seen and understood and connected.
I hope your days get better. Enjoy more Ren, even if you don't react. It is there to be a companion in the dark and the light. (Paraphrasing Ren)
Most of Ren's older tracks are musically of this style. He focused on hip-hop for the album release and has promised more singing/guitar based song are to come.

Excellent reaction. Ren just has a way of dragging you right into the music.
Sometimes it’s just like a trick knee… you sit with it for a while and let the cycle turn over.
Keep the faith that the wheel will turn over. Really enjoy your engagement with the music.

❤ hey there my guy, I subscribed a while ago and have been catching up on my missed reactions and rechecking out my subscriptions and your videos have been a real gem and really helped lift my spirits today after binging all your ren videos and a few other random videos sprinkled here and there. I wanted to say thank you for that because true enjoyment for rens music translate so well in the videos I e been watching and seeing your connection to his music and art, its is fantastic to see others let go and feel something good, real and alive ,even if it's just for a brief moment. I hope that this rough spot will pass for you and you feel like yourself true and full very very soon, you are a gem my friend, so so smart and your insightful authenticity is very refreshing. Sending you many good vibes and happy thoughts all the way from Sacramento california ❤❤🖤💯 ps listen to mac dre if you need a real body reset thizzle dance, and growl like a bear. I have to disagree with your blanket opinion that “it’s dangerous” to give someone that feeling. The whole point, surely, is to protect you from the strength of emotion caused by whatever is triggering your depression, that protection allows you to look at, & hopefully therefore deal with, whatever that problem is; whether traumatic event/accident, bereavement or work related stresses. You can’t deal with something if you can’t name it, look at it or talk through it without crashing into a deep depressive hole. But if cushioned, and definitely supported by a good, trained, psychotherapist/counsellor/psychiatrist, dealing with “the issue/problem/trauma” should be possible. Diazepam shouldn’t be prescribed just to make you feel better in the here & now, it’s to give your emotional responses a rest while you work on, or at least try to face, your issues (whatever term you choose to use). REN was so horribly misdiagnosed, it’s no surprise he needed the relief diazepam gave him & suffered as a result of both the misdiagnosis & the misprescribed meds’.

Yes I agree that's all well and good of that's the experience you get bit it's not the experience of many, including myself. I've gone to the doctors in a mental health crisis before and they've just sent me away with a load of diazepam. No road map out, no advice, no referral to anyone else. Just 'take these 3 times a day'.
That's when it's dangerous because it becomes the 9nly lighthouse in the dark. Not part of a broader plan or road map out of where you're at
