    • @mitivaidya

      Hi Vishad, I only had my CA Final left after MBA actually. I had already finished my articleship before I joined XLRI. So not much of the CA journey was left post MBA. Once the XLRI convocation was done in March, I spent two full months studying for the May attempt. Surprisingly, I found the studying a little bit easier than my first attempt (which I appeared for just a few days before going to XLRI) - maybe I'd picked up productivity hacks in MBA which helped! For example, Costing felt super easy. Law, on the other hand, felt a little tougher.

    I am left with one group of CA final which I plan to give In November 2019 and I plan to give CAT 2020. Would doing some courses like CIRA CIPM CAIA etc increase the chance to get a call from top B-Schools? And do they count articleship as work experience in personal interview? I mean it's not counted on paper but the interviewer knows that I have done articleship which is not less than any job experience? Do CAs have a better chance to get a call?
    Thank you for your time 😁

    Ma'm I'm a commerce student pursuing my b.com and am not planning to do a CA but would like to have a career in finance so will a MBA from a good b-school be enough or should I try to do some other courses along with my graduation ?

    • @mitivaidya
      @mitivaidya 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      An MBA from a good school will certainly be enough brand name on your resume and help you get a good job. In case your academic performance hasn't been great so far, you could consider doing some other course to add to your resume. However, that's completely optional.

      Thank you for your reply. Ma'm I've been pretty consistent with my acads and have been scoring 85% above throughout my 10th and 12th grade which I've done from the Maharashtra state board but I'm just very confused about my future plans. Also could you recommend some courses to add to my profile since even good b-school look for a strong profile while selecting a candidate along with the percentile ?

      @@dhruvipanchamia7546 If you're very convinced about Finance, might make sense to do a CFA. Or even try to get an internship in finance.
