I paused replacing the flooring during the build of the Airstream Airport. Then the weather turned cold (below freezing) so we are waiting for the weather to warm up a little bit…hope to have it installed soon. Thanks for asking, and safe travels.
I'm a Driver (Trucker). The Big Road (An Interstate) was shut down for while 2-3 hours. A four Wheeler (a car) wife started to loose it because it was snowing etc... I and her husband was out in the weather, she just had her window cracked. I was informing them the latest on the CB info was. I told her "Ma'am see what you call nowhere? she somewhat looked around, this is our neighborhood. See these Big Trucks up and down the road? Those are our homes... You are in good hands. It's a mindset or Attitude. I like your videos... My GF and I are looking into an Airstream for retirement, My dad had 2 and she had a rv w/her x..
Great video! Having just returned from a two week trip to Florida, we like camping and returning home! Kinda like closing the loop. Keep the videos coming!
Thanks for the kind words. The credit really belongs to the great viewers who provide thoughtful questions and comments. We are so happy to share our experience (good & bad) so others can learn from our mistakes and successes. Have a great week
Yes. We have the attitude that we are “living,” not “camping” in our Airstream. So far we’ve loved our full time journey, but we 💯 understand what you are doing now. We wish the best for you and hope to meet up again someday.
We donated a lot of items we didn’t need. Stored some important items (photo albums, important papers, etc) with family and the rest of the items that we kept went into a storage unit. Hope this helps. Safe travels.
Great info from you two. Wife and I spend about 4 to 6 months of the year on the road depending on things going on with the family and home life. We stay on the road for months and we look forward to being back home; on the other side we stay home for a few months and we can't wait to get back on the road. I will say I always enjoy getting in my larger shower at home after being on the road for a few months taking showers in the shower in the Airstream. This year we are spending less time on the road because we need to do some maintenance on our home.
Thanks for sharing your Airstream travel experience. It sounds like you have found a nice balance between life on the road and at home. Since we recently bought our home base, we are still working towards finding the right balance. The showers and baths at home are a highlight for sure. Thanks for watching and safe travels.
Let’s just keep camping! We are also “most time” travelers which, for us, is the best of both worlds. We live at the beach so even being home is delightful.
We came to the conclusion that most time travel was the best of both worlds for us as well. That beach home sounds like a great place to recharge when not traveling.
I retire next month I have a 27 globetrotter that I dearly love. Trying to decide what type of traveling I will be doing. This was a great video full of great information. You guys settled in a nice state where the weather is kinda like Wilmington NC where I live. Good luck in your new home there and hope our paths will cross on the road at some point in time...
The best part of retirement, is the freedom and the time you have to decide which RV travel lifestyle works best for you. Good luck and congrats on your retirement.
Just retired. After a month of camping I am always ready to get back to my sticks & bricks to recharge before heading back out.
It does feel good to come back to the home base and recharge before the next adventure. Safe travels
I would want it to feel like camping. one of the reasons I like airstream so much, they feel like a camper
We really love our Airstream as well. It’s our mountain cabin and our beach cabana whenever we want it to be. Thanks for watching
Just found your TH-cam channel. Love the Uncle Dave blip. Welcome to the SE!
Thank you for watching and spending part of your day with us. 🙂
Great advice. Did you ever replace your flooring inside the AS after the leak?

Thanks for your channel; What did you do with all of your personal belongings when you were traveling full time. (furniture etc.)

@@thewrightlife Thank You!
We’ve done enough tent camping that the Airstream really feels more like a home on wheels than camping. 😍
We love traveling with all the comforts of home.
