@@TheWeekendCruiser yea the first MSc I did the food was hit n miss tbh but on this one it was good so everyone was happy with that! Service and entertainment was great as well
I’ve just returned from my first cruise (Mediterranean) on this ship in June 2024. Really enjoyed it, great friendly staff for the most part. The only criticism was that there were a lot of people of there and it was very busy. There were some rude people who always seemed to be a certain demographic, but not going to get into who etc. the all inclusive buffet is good , but again very busy, noisy, it’s basically like a cross between a chimps tea party and a primark sale. We ate mainly at the black crab restaurant which was part of the all inclusive deal, it was very nice and again great friendly staff. Be careful if you get a drinks package as we and many others we met experienced issues. Eg we would order drinks which were basically being charged for when shouldn’t have been , so eventually after having to complain to the reception we eventually got it refunded. This seemed to be a very common issue. So a few criticisms but in general it’s was great. 8/10 for me
Thanks for the tour Brandon. I commented in your comparison video that we just booked the Divina for April. This will be our 2nd MSC cruise and we are already booked for Christmas on the Seascape. They don’t overwhelm you with service as does Royal but they do provide a nice experience for the price and the ships are beautiful. UPDATE: just got home from our 3 night cruise on the Divina and that’s a one and done for us. While some of the staff were friendly and professional, we experienced some very rude and obnoxious behavior that will be a lasting impression for us. The upkeep of the common areas and bathrooms was just not there. Many rude guests on this ship as well to the extent we haven’t experienced before. Just our experience, but wasn’t a good one. Not condemning MSC totally but we have a Christmas cruise booked and I would be lying if I said I wasn’t a little worried.
That's great feedback and agree that for the price, it is a strong competitor these days on what they offer. The new ships are supposed to be beautiful!
Hey Brandon!!! I just discovered you researching for the first Caribbean cruise with RC that we are going on next Wednesday and I wanted to tell you that your videos are amazing! My husband and I were talking about if we like our first ever cruise that we will obviously do another and MSC looks beautiful and the prices are wonderful! Thank you for making videos! Definitely subscribing and keeping you on my watch list!
Hey there and thank you!!! Very glad you found the channel as well and are enjoying the content!! Yes, MSC is a solid cruise line for the price and I even booked 8 weekend sailings with her next year for an amazing price! $300 per weekend including taxes for a solo cruiser. You can't beat that.
Thank you. I will be sailing on this next week and your video made me that much more excited. This will be my first solo cruise and I was wondering if you had a video of tips for solo travelers? I'm a social butterfly but I'm still a little anxious. Thanks again. This ship is beautiful!
Hey Ben, sounds like you are in a good space for your first solo trip! There are a few videos I have made on solo cruising (I love it!) but feel free to search on the channel "solo" and more will pop up. Here are the main two: th-cam.com/video/HjI2xfz7MbU/w-d-xo.html and th-cam.com/users/shorts_UYKOPkWKJ8
I have been eyeing this ship. On Vacations to go they have a great deal for Solo travelers. I have only cruised a couple of times and it was soooo boring!! But this ship looks like there would be something to see or do all the time.
We'll be on the Divina for a 13-night Miami, San Juan, St Maarten, Martinique, Barbados Transatlantic to Madeira in May. I like how MSC has many itineraries where you can begin and end your cruise along the way. This May cruise goes on to Casablanca, Barcelona and Genoa. We want to spend time in Madeira and so we booked to debark there. I think Divina is a gorgeous ship--it has the class of its godmother, Sophia Loren. I love the layout and decor.
That's excellent! Yes, if you want to see the world, MSC is a great line with strong itineraries! Is it easier to disembark early than in other ships? I've never done it but don't feel like RCL encourages it.
@@TheWeekendCruiser I can't speak to early disembarkation. While I have four MSC cruises booked, the only one to date I've taken was Meraviglia 7-night out of Port Canaveral. That was so early in the restart that we had only between 400-500 passengers on board. It was wonderful! 🙂 Needless to say, even with Covid testing at the port at embarkation, it was quick on and off at all the ports.
My fiance and I are going on Divina this October, this definitely helped giving a quick visual of what to expect. I've been on several cruises but this will be first time on MSC.
Great tour thanks. We join Divina for her transatlantic from Miami in a couple of weeks. Still trying to work out where the best aft view spot for our departure from Miami will be. Grateful for any thoughts.
Head to the back of the ship on the upper level. They have chairs outside and most people don't make it that far back, so isn't as crowded. T32 is also air conditioned if you want a great view with air.
Great tour. I think you’ve convinced me to try the Davina. It looks like a good budget option for the solo traveler. What was the demographic of the guests?
Hey Joseph! When filming, I try my best not too shoot too many people. Making cameos is fun for some but others don't appreciate it. For this one, I did it in the late morning when everyone had left the ship and gone to the MSC Private Reserve and were off the ship.
Looking forward to my cruise on this beautiful vessel next week. Are they strict with dress code and attire? We’ve been trying to figure out what to wear, as it’s our first cruise.🙌🏽
