Not a hunter, but I have been looking for an adaptable rucksack (carry odd size gear, tools, dry suit/bags, molle for admin and first aid, etc.) for a while now; this pack just so happens to be near identical to what I dreamt up in my head!
I love this pack. I've been running it saddle hunting in the Adirondacks for 2 years now. My sticks are beast sticks and I find those work better the way Mark Dohring runs them on the pack than sandwiching them in the batwings. I also use the pack for a "butt pad" when I end up not climbing a tree -
The beast sticks are some solid sticks!! They grab the tree a lot better than these novix minis.
Grew up an archery guy, making the transition to saddle hunting next season. I have been reading every review and blog I can find on packs. Can’t wait to be more mobile on public ground next season! Thanks for the review!
I love mine for saddle hunting and for all other types of hunting. As a dad when I take my kids with me out to public land this pack is great for holding the extra gear. I added the Eberlestock large padded accessory pouch to mine on the bottom flap.
Love that this pack gives you the option to do just that!

Thanks for the review. It would be helpful to see how it hangs on the tree when hunting. I would think the bat wings need to remain buckled. Would you strap waist belt around the tree? How do you work the pack when hunting with regard to getting in and out of it?
Nice review. I was looking for a new pack capable of hauling meat. It was down to this pack and the mystery ranch pop up 28. I ended up going with mystery ranch. I just felt that it'll carry a load better. Both make great products.

I have the exact pack and have been using it for 3 seasons. Best pack in my opinion..
For elk hunting maybe, deer hunting it’s a bit ridiculous.
Hi Kyle. On the x2 what’s your opinion on the noise factor with the material?I just got it an I really like it but seems really noise.
@@adamcarpenter3551 As you use it I will get quieter. I have no issues with mine and I hunt all over. In my opinion it is the best saddle pack.

Also would lone wolf sticks stick out too much for this pack when going through brush and everyday hunting or should I use minis

Are you still liking the pack as of now? I’m 6’ do you think this would be a good fit for me or do you think to small to big? Also on the bat wings, are there straps to hold the sticks in place? An will the pouch hold a predator XL platform?
I’m 6’3 and I’ve had this pack for five years hauled out elk hind quarters with this pack. Works the best as a day pack with the ability to haul meat on your way out with all your gear.
How does this bag do hauling a stand instead of a saddle platform?
How big of a stand are you thinking? I have a big foot hang on stand that’s decently small, I’ll try strapping it on tomorrow and let you know!
@@exodusoutdoors I was think a hang on like a xop, novix, lone wolf or etc. Not sure of the weight of a Bigfoot standr but that could be a good video to compare to other stands. Thx for the reply

Why wouldn’t anyone take the time to ask that question. Everyone does it their own way man.
It’s really not as much as it seems, I definitely prefer it over one sticking. It’s only a few extra pounds.
There always gotta be one negative person in every crowd. Keep up the the great work love the videos. And remember some people just can’t help it. Probably has a Biden flag and sign in his front yard
