Wifey got me a Bafang BBS02 750 watt mid drive kit for my really old Cannondale mountain bike and i've been riding the crap out of that lately. Great fun, like having super powers, but also practical for actually getting places. This year feels like "The Year of the E-Bike".

There are way to many youtubers I follow doing bike reviews.. I usually just don't watch. But since you cars are broken, I guess I give this one a watch.
Good to hear that You’re riding again. I had to stop after My second heart attack. Then I found a e-bike for 300$ at Costco. Opened up the World again. I just upgraded. Not Your brand but hey I’m on Our side (riding bikes) good to hear that You picked a honest? Reliable? Well thought out brand. And actually rode it for a while (not brand New) keep it up
Maybe some makers of batterycharger cabinets would like to advertise on the channel. Not sure about how often(%) they catch fire while charging but it keeps happening. Nice video thank you for sharing.
I love my fat tire bike on super rocky areas, snow and sand, but god I hate how many I see on ebikes on the road...its like putting super swampers on a Rav 4 to take to the mall.
I don't often watch rides/drives, totally boring. In this case the bass drive and groove was so compelling I watched the ride. Always great music choices.
How bike-able(word?) is Wichita? Saw some bike paths and a few places with bike lanes when I’ve been there but wasn’t sure how effective it was at actually getting to and from different places in the city.

At +-2000$ on can get a relatively good used car. 2000$ on a bike, it's a lot. But I understand that if one has the $$$ and desire to do so, they can do it.
Purchase price is just the beginning of car ownership. Insurance, registration, repairs, gas, etc. It only takes one thing breaking that you can't afford to fix that moment and then you have to go into debt in order to have a way to get to work reliably. Cars are horrible.
Large numbers of those things running around where I live. Many riders seem oblivious to the importance of making themselves as visible as possible (they’re not as bad as the one-wheel deathwish idiots, but that’s another discussion), wear no personal protection at all or at most just the stupid little plastic helmets, and have seemingly no grasp of the fact that car drivers see them and think “bicycle” and don’t anticipate that they’ll be going twice as fast as they actually are. It really seems like you’re taking on most of the risk of riding a motorcycle without getting most of the benefit of riding a motorcycle. If you’re really going to be commuting on one of these things, I’d take a lot more precautions than what you’re showing in this video.
Yeah! Right after I replaced the transmission, fixed the lights, got the mold out of the interior, put a top on it, fixed the exhaust, fixed the multiple structural rust issues, replaced the moldy seats, fixed the wiring, replaced the broken side mirrors, and put new tires on it it would have been a miserable daily driver because none of the creature comforts worked! Really am stupid for not doing that.
Thank you Jake for taking the time at the end to complain about cycling infrastructure! We need more people out of cars & on bikes for most trips. Having fewer cars on the road is a solution to traffic on busy freeways & emissions from vehicles with ICE.
Nobody can afford to have 25 cars. Half will need work done. 20% are refugees from the scrapyard. 10% will actually be running and streetworthy ±½ car. Of those, there's only one you would want to be caught dead driving.
@@terminallygray one time I had 3 broke cars in my yard. Went out bought another car it made it half way home then died.the beater I drive now is probably my last 1.

ah, yes. Corvette interlock issues and BMW control arms wearing out at 120k miles like they're supposed to. Definitely caused by something I did.
It's too big and you can't park it up anywhere without it being stolen, which is why I stick with E Scooters.
