I am 61 and bought my first e bike 2 years ago. It's one of the best things I have ever bought. I wasn't even sure how much I would ride it and have now put over 6 thousand miles on it. I sure am looking forward to Spring to get back on the bike again!
As a Motorcycle rider and a former bicycle rider, I urge you to very cautious of the loose leaves on that path as they can be very slick and cause an accident very quickly.
wet leaves are deadly do not apply brake or power on them. just coast in a straight line over wet leaves always. if you turn, brake, or accelerate hard you may eat it, instantly.
Hey adam, great video as always, just wanted to point out that motorcyclists will wear full gear, helmet jacket gloves etc. when going to town on 35 mph roads, but riding these ebikes gives a false sense of safety. They're smaller, quieter, and less visible than motorcycles, no proper headlights taillights or blinkers, but they can go the same speed on local roads as motorcycles. And most people would feel comfortable riding these with no helmet. I'm just a concerned subscriber that wants to keep watching your videos. I would highly recommend at least a proper motorcycle or even dirt bike helmet when riding it. Ebike accidents are far more dangerous than motorcycle accidents for the simple reason that Ebike riders aren't wearing any gear. Wouldn't want to see anything bad happen to you God forbid. Keep up the great content!
These do have a bright headlight tail light and brake light. No turn signals though. But I agree a helmet and gloves should be worn on these things. I have actually been in a motorcycle accident in the past
I said the same things about trucks in 1997 when we bought a new truck. I’m meticulous with maintenance and our Ram 2500 diesel is still on the road. We live in Alaska and just finished a 10k mile trip to Ontario and back. Poor upkeep adds up over time but trucks can last longer than many people think.
You nailed it. I bicycled to work with naturally aspirated bike for 3 years and would usually do the 14mi 1000 ft elevation change one way and just cycle a car into it by leaving it at work. Then I bought a Bafang HD 1600W mid drive and it cut my commute time in half and I could handle round trip multiple days in a row, I pedaled hard to average 25 mph best and got it up to 45 mph down hill no throttle. After 3 years without an issue I got a flat a mile from home and fixed it in the hot sun off the path. I have Shwalbe tires and heavy duty downhill wheels but the tires are extremely tight and I didn't realize I pinched the tube at the sidewall for at least 6" continuous, it wasn't really visible and it was hot and I was in a hurry. The next morning I took off for work. I wear a helmet, gloves, shorts, sneakers, short sleave shirt and a bookbag size backpack for work clothes. A little bit past where I fixed the tire I said hi to another bike dude oncoming and then shortly I heard what sounded like a gunshot. I looked over my left shoulder quick and instantly the rear of my bike jerked to right, I must have been on downstroke of right pedal because it hit the concrete first, blew up my pedal and I ended up dragging my right foot on ground to bone leaving a bloody streak and 36" long gouge in concrete from pedal stud. Then my rt knee hit ground and tore a ligament (swelled and had orthoscopic surgery to repair) and palm size roadrash. Then my rt hand still gripping the handlebars hit the ground and I took a chunk of flesh out of side of hand and road rash on elbow. Then I rolled onto my backpack then left shoulder and road rashed that until I ended up off into the grassy shoulder. It was a hard fast fall I think because I was not looking forward to control anything. The guy I passed heard it all and circled back a few hundred feet to help me. I've wrecked dirt bikes and it was a similar impact. I figured out by GPS I had I was only going 20 mph through a small turn with all that carnage. What took me down was my pinched tire blew and exploded the side rim of my Al wheel from sudden release of 50 psi and extreme load on the rear wheel. It took 2 years of surgery and lifting weights to get back to full recovery and another year after before riding the ebike again less aggressively. I have been riding motorcycles for the past year which I had taken a 10 year break from and I feel motorcycles are safer because they are built more heavy duty so you can wear all that cumbersome gear. My ebike was built around a full suspension 26" mountain bike, it survived the crash no problem, only lost a mirror, pedal and rear wheel. Not that anyone cares I shared this, I saved it as a note for self.
@@thereplacementfordisplacement damn that's one hell of a story, I'm glad to hear you recovered and are able to get back to doing what you love, I'm sure it wasn't an easy road to recovery by any means, but at least you're alive. Unfortunately that is the nature of riding ebikes, that it feels like a regular bike so you go out in shorts and a bicycle helmet. I'm here just to try and change the perspective to ebikes being more like motorcycles where people would wear proper motorcycle gear. I'm sure you of all people would advise others to gear up for ebike riding.🙏🙏
glad your alive and thanks for sharing. I have a mountain bike and tour bike I have not ridden in two years...thinking about riding again....maybe. ;)@@thereplacementfordisplacement
I got an ebike + bike trailer to bring my two kids to daycare, it's great, they have a blast in it. They also make little utility trailers for bikes just for your home depot runs.
Great video, good thinking on providing a perspective of how we use our cars. I just bought a Talaria XXX and I can't wait to use it for all this piddly back and forth riding to town and my commute - using a car is often such a waste.
I have a freedom with a Rambo trailer that I got from wired. Hunters use them to haul the deers back. I am using it to haul my 125 lbs of camping gear. I paid less for the trailer from Wired that from Rambo dealership. You could use the Rambo trailer to haul the firewood to restock
Nice having a decent trustworthy neighbor huh! Looks like a good situation you got going out there. Thx for the vid. Ive got one of these and I got it for the same reason - to get around without ware n tear on truck but also to get out in the world and exercise, as I usually pedal on my ebike, although I think its outve habit from my days on the non e type. Beside the sweating my butt off, it feels good to pedal and theres alot less ghost pedaling on this bike vs the lesser quality smaller dia, lesser tooth gear bikes. Have a good one!
Hey Adam, We needed a new truck, well new to us, and we weren’t going to be “truck poor” to do it. So we looked for two years, yes two years. I knew we wanted a 3/4 ton, a little better for towing our travel trailer and help with collect reclaimed wood for our small business. But a 3/4 to 1 ton trucks are over 80-100k, or “truck poor”. So I looked and watched and waited. This past February I found something local that was too good to be true, but it was the real deal. We found a garage kept, never driven in the rain, 2017 F-250 crew cab with the 6.2 gas engine with 62k miles on it. For way less than a new f-150. It’s the right truck for us and does everything we’ve asked of it and more. It also came with a lifetime power train warranty. So it pays to shop around and be patient.
That's an awesome ebike and a great option mode of transportation that will definitely save gas and ultimately save you money...on the added benefit to get you some exercise as well!
I bought a 3 wheeler and it has a basket on the front and a big basket on the back. I can take all back roads to the grocery store and do a good size grocery haul.
Awesome video man! I been watching a ton of these wired freedom bike videos because i can't wait for mine to arrive. It's on pre-order now but is expected to ship end of month or early march. I can't wait for this snow to clear and spring to come so i can start riding it! Also just to add i'm jealous of where you live lol. I live in the city by NYC and i HATE it here. So congested, traffic everywhere, people walking aimlessly everywhere with their faces glued to their phone screen. I wish i lived in the country :(
This bike is illegal for street use btw, max motor allowed on street is 750w (this has 2250w motor) and max allowed max speed is 30 mph and this bike can go 40. These laws also apply to public bike trails and trails in general.
I live in a small, remote town and I have an F-250. I also have an ebike. I ride the bike almost exclusively, weather permitting. It save wear and tear on the truck, saves money on fuel, you get some exercise and it is better for the environment (THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH GOING GREEN!) Ebikes rock!
Another thing to consider is that trucks have changed and so has the truck market. In the early 90s most folks owned trucks for work or to tow and they had a regular family car. Those markets have consolidated in that folks are more likely to daily drive their trucks and they want the safety and convenience of a family car. This dual use case is part of the increase in $$$
Im 100% with you on this one. I only drive my Tundra on weekends when im doing truck work, i bought a small used car to drive every day to work and back and for small errands. Saves big time on my truck...Love your channel, i never miss a video 😁
Hey Adam, WOW!! didn't know they were so fast and will definitely look into one . I bike down pine creek in Tioga County and have had deer jump out on me so that would be a concern for trail riding but yeah that was cool to watch. As for trucks I have two of them a 2013 dodge with 305k miles and just put a new motor in it 15k ago and don't have any plans of getting rid of it because everything else works great. And a 2020 2500 which I just love to drive but the real reason we have two is I do a lot of personal home improvements, safety factor and the fact that you can see further up the road than you would a car. But I'm in total agreement with prices of trucks going crazy and have no plans on getting anymore for a long time. Great video 👍
I found turning the C5 setting to 3 increases the range and is still plenty strong. I do like that you can turn it up for quickness, speed and power or turn it down for range. (Honestly turned down is still strong but I have to turn it up to show off sometimes. lol) Great bike and I also recommend!
Last May (2022) I bought my second Toyota Sienna mini van (used) because the first one we had went 244,000 miles. I called it my pickup with a hatchback and it was. I can get full sheets of plywood and sheetrock to fit in it and close the hatch by only moving the front seats 2 inches. I don't need a truck, plus I don't get the usual crowd asking to help them move kids and furniture. It will also haul 16 50 lb bags of concrete and not kill the suspension.
I bought a 92' F150 a year ago. 8' bed, single cab with a bench seat. In the year or so I've owned it, I've hauled 3 or 4 cord of wood from place to place. I've taken multiple loads of garbage to the dump. I've grabbed several loads of timber from the lumber yard. 20'-25' lengths of timber. I've also driven to sites with all my wood cutting gear in the bed of the truck. So much that I couldn't do with my car. What I haven't used it for is driving errands that don't require a big bed. I would guess I've put on about 300 to 400 miles in a year. Maybe less. My truck is a tool I use when needed. My 2015 Altima with 220K miles is a tool I use for getting from place to place. (car prices have gone through the roof too, btw)
Good morning Adam, looks like a fun ride and I can imagine you and Doug ripping around with jackets that have your Utube Logos patches on your backs, cause that’s how you roll. 😀👍👍👍
When you hopped on the bike trial and were riding along, I couldn't help but think "wow that looks just like the Ernst Bike Trial." Then I saw the covered bridge and laughed! Nice to see the bowling alley is still there too! Greetings from North East, PA. I'm an Allegheny grad and ran for their XC team years ago. We ran countless miles on that trail. Great video! Thank you for all the info on this bike. I've been researching it and thinking about purchasing one.
Besides the mirrors and rear view cam I think an air horn would be a very good idea for the road to let traffic know you're there because it's so quiet. Love your channel, keep up the great work.
The cost of trucks has gone crazy! Any new vehicles are insane for what you get. It’s sad soon you’ll see 10-15 year loans on cars and 40-50 year loans on homes.
I have one in eastern PA. Hub drives dont cut it here. Mid drive e bikes allow the motor to go through the gears. Although there is more of a curve to killing power to shift it does allow you to go up very steep hills in first gear. My girl lives in southern Delaware and there hub drives are perfect as there are no hills.
In all fairness though your bike has a geared hub, I know they have more torque than a standard hub drive, I have yet to ride one. It would be interesting to see you do some hills. I am always throwing the bike in the back of the truck when I have to drop it off for inspection or repairs, then just ride my e bike home. As far as safety goes, I have been riding motorcycles since I was 10, flying gyrocopters and helicopters since I was 25 and at age 61 I still never wear a helmet unless I am going out to dirt bike. Never wear safety equipment that inhibits your situational awareness. I have over 20 friends dead on motorcycles and all but 1 wasn't wearing a helmet.
I have moonshined several ebikes with high A controllers and motors always using 72V batteries, but let me tell you new riders it gets expensive. The wired freedom is fast enough for daily use and a great value too! As far as using my 2014 Ram 1/2 ton with the Hemi, it sits in the yard all polished up with a full tank and I have reached 90% ebike use. I started several years ago at about 25% ebike use and discovered I could increase the use by simply changing my habits. Hope you all can do the same and your ebikes will be paid for just in fuel savings. Plus the adventure of ebiking grows with use. Nice video keep, ebiking too!.
Several guys locally have discovered it is more cost effective to get a personal loan to bumper to bumper rebuild of their existing trucks than to buy new.
I definitely Subscribed! I just got an updated 2024+ Wired Freedom. 70-90 mile range, 46 mph top speed, 3200W motor, 2100 WH of bartery. I like your channel too, very cozy! I love nature.
I bought my 97 F150 Lariat 4x4 new for 20K (sticker was 25K). I drove it for 24 yrs. I replaced the heater core 3 times. I did the work myself (entire dash and steering column has to be removed) because the dealership wants $1,000 labor for this job and I'm too tight to pay that when I'm capable of doing the work myself. Replaced 1 front caliper, 1 rear axle, 1 fuel pump and some minor things like O-2 sensors, etc. I sold it for $3,000 about 3 days before the chip shortage took effect and prices started going through the roof. It had 168,000 miles and was in need of a fourth heater core replacement. At 69 yrs old I didn't feel up to replacing that core again. This was my work truck for it's entire life with me. As a carpenter (retired @66) I'd say about 35% of the time I was pulling a trailer or hauling material in the bed. The rear seat was almost exclusively folded down and the back seat area was almost always full of tools. The ebike looks nice but wouldn't be as useful in the rural town of 2,500 people where I live. Home Depot, Lowes, Harbor Freight, and the likes are 37 miles from me (one way). The closest lumber co/hardware store of any name is 10 miles away. With the trails you have I can see it might be very handy and economical to have around.
Truck longevity comes down to use, care and maintenance. Rust can get get you as the years roll up. I recommend finding a car wash that includes undercarriage wash and using it through the salt months to keep washing that salt off of the frame. Rust prevention with a fluid film type product also goes a long way. Worth every penny. I have a 2006 F150 Lariat that I bought for around 30k. To replace with a new one, same model is $70k! I plan on keeping that 2006 for a LOT more years.
Thanks Adam. I'm just as big as You are only a few Lb.'s heavier . LOL... My 99 F-350 Just turned 94'000 Miles. I bought it in late 99 with 36'000 Miles. Only used it when i needed to Haul or pull something My Jeep or 2 Motorcycles could not do. I've been Eyeballing a Trike version with the larger basket on the back for "to Town" shopping trips.
Great video. I agree with your game plan using the ebike for short trips running errands procuring supplies and maybe groceries. I use my Freedom for my commute which is saving gas and wear and tear on my truck also. If i can keep saving gas even riding during part of the winter, i should pay for my bike in fuel savings by early spring 2024! I will need to replace the tires soon,(@ over 3,000 miles) but the fun of riding along with the fuel savings keeps me wanting to keep riding on!
Great addition! Watch for deer on those bike trails - they won't be expecting a bicycle THAT fast! :) You're right about the price of trucks today. I'm trying to make our current F350 last 17 years or more, like our last one did. The key for me is to drive my little 2010 Ford Ranger (4 cylinder, 5 speed manual, 2WD) as my daily driver on my 165 mile-per-day work commute. Side note - I never realized that section of the bike trail took you over that way by HOSS's.
I've got two pick-ups, both diesel. One is a 1 ton for hauling my dump trailer and fifthwheel RV, the other is a 1/2 ton for running to the feed store and other general purpose runs like taking the boat fishing and hauling my tractor to my son's for his projects. I live too deep in the rural for safe e-bike transportation, the closest store is 8 miles one way. With the popularity of e-bikes on the increase and the displayed foolishness by e-bike riders on the public bikes trails, there is talk of banning e-bikes on bike trails just like motorized (think moped) bikes are banned. The cost of a new vehicle is ridiculous and unaffordable for more and more Americans and growing each day. Now the UAW wants a large pay and benefit increase. Lablor makes up around 10% of the vehicle's cost. The bigger driver of vehicle costs are regulations, a non-stop flood of government reguations from MPG to safty features, crumple zones, and now, with 2026 models, the government will require breath testing before the engine will start. Keep this in mind when you go to elect a representative and also remember that Congress is supposed to make the laws and not the three letter agencies as it is now. This has to stop, it has already gone too far.
Great content! Thanks again for keeping it simple but informative. The Amish love these bikes in my area in Ohio. They are everywhere in Amish country.
That's interesting. I don't know a lot about Amish lifestyle, but I thought they generally avoided technology. Of course, I know there's different degrees of Amishness (sorry, can't think of how to express that better at the moment), but I would have thought this would still be at or very close to beyond what they'd go with.
I heard major reason trucks are crazy prices is the government requires them to add tons of extra features and technology these days that obviously they didn’t have or were required 30 years ago
Fantastic vid. The reality of inflation and absolutely ridiculous vehicle prices makes these new eBikes a true option for certain scenarios. Wired Cruiser will be my first eBike.
I have a different brand ebike and just crossed 500 miles on the odemeter (have had it a bit over a year) , most of those miles also include towing a kid trailer with two kids in it. Battery is still great.
Great bike, best bang for the buck by far in e bikes. You should try the Suntour NCX post and the Rambo trailer to haul 300 lbs of stuff with this bike. Hard to put a value on the fun factor. I have one and have found I use it to go to the bank, post office, pharmacy or just out to get a bite to eat instead of my car. Much healthier to get out and have fun on an e-bike than to veg on a coach or sit in car or truck. Kinda of like a mini motorcycle you don’t have to register and they are a blast to ride. And I’ve lost ten pounds and am in much better shape as a result.
I have a 19 ram 3500 dually with just over 200k miles, I use it to haul all my equipment around. I just bought an older 03 model f250 gas truck to use as a daily driver and sometimes hauler to save my big newer truck that I will have a hard time justifying the insane cost of replacement. the f250 can be repaired much cheaper and if it completely dies I'm not out much money. it too hot down here to be riding any kind of bike anywhere in this hellish heat
I have a 2003 Chevy Avalanche with the 8.1 liter engine in it. Fortunately I work from home and have a couple cars that I use just for commuting, so it only gets driven when camping, picking up large items (I can fit full sheets of drywall with the back seat down), and if I ever go offroading. I get about 13mpg with normal driving, down to 8mpg when towing my 7,500lb camper. I see dummies buying trucks as daily drivers and never haul anything with them. I just don't get it. With rising fuel and auto prices, it's worth getting something more efficient for sure. One benefit to a bike like this is it's a very nice backup if SHTF. If a large natural disaster were to hit, if fuel prices skyrocket, or if your vehicle breaks down, having a bike like this that could be charged with a solar panel could be a huge benefit. I laugh when I watch post-apocalyptic shows and movies where people are driving gas vehicles around. Gasoline doesn't have a very long shelf life, so the only way one would be driving around a gas powered vehicle is if it were converted to propane or a gasifier system, or if straight ethanol is being actively produced. I'm not crazy into prepping, but this seems like a no-brainer for those who are.
Nice ebike. There needs to be a road legal mode of transportation that is smaller than a car but bigger/safer than a bike. Like the side by side. I think all roads that are 45mph or slower should be open to side by sides
I use my truck mostly for hauling my travel trailer. Because it has an 8.1 v8 I don't use it for much more than that because it is way to costly for the casual trips. I clicked on your link and I may consider one of these for next summer.
My friend this video is awesome especially the introduction but I just want to remind you that don't advertise this bike as a gas saver for vehicles advertise it because it will extend your life by years because you're getting exercise and enjoying nature. Realistically vehicles go so many miles without having to do much maintenance and e-bikes and motorcycles require a lot more maintenance than a vehicle so in the long run you're not saving any money but you are prolonging your life. This is one of the best bikes for two grand but if you want to go 45 to 50 onyx cty2 is second best just don't expect much exercise because it's mostly moped. So this really is the best bike for the money.
43K for a truck is on the cheap end. You're in the midwest and prices are as such. Most folks do not consider a basic trim if they are dishing out over $40K
Our solution is our Kawasaki Mule. We have a 2005 Dodge 2500 diesel that we bought new and I used as my work truck as a carpenter. It has 250,000 miles on it and we intend to keep it forever. I'm trying to only use it when I really need it and use the Mule as our daily mini-truck. UTVs are common on the roads here in our part of Missouri.
Very nice video. One of the best I've seen on this bike in particular. You are girtunatecyou have a lot of cool places to ride, with a lot of variety with paved trails and dirt trails. No doubt youre having fun with the bike. I'm waiting on mine to come.
you should get mirrors for driving on the road. It helps alot. I ride to save my truck too. Mine is a 3500 ram diesel that i use as a truck 100% of the time. Its not cheap
Nice bike!!! I was unaware that the Ernst trail went back up by Hoss's and Home Depot. I've never been on that trail before. I usually just do the bike trail in Franklin either to Oil City or South along the Allegheny. Have a great weekend,God Bless!!!❤😊
Love it. The imported mini trucks that are all over now look like a great option. Very useful and some are street legal. I would want one that dumps to use on my property too. Great video!
I don’t know how the Mini Trucks work. In NJ some are legal and some are not. I know if over 25 years old most vehicles can be imported as DOT and EPA exempt. I used to import classic Mini Coopers and getting titles wasn’t a problem.
Real cool Adam! I bought my Ram just as a show turck/grocery getter but mainly to travel. I have used the bed about 9 times since I bought it and it looks great. It's a 2021 Ram Rebel and paid $59900. Love it!
I really want to get one for commuting and hunting, i think it would be a great way to reduce my environmental footprint and save a ton of cash, plus it just looks fun!
I totally agree truck prices are just way to high. I am still using my 1993 F250 for my work truck , it has 350,000 miles on it, pretty much on it's last legs. But cost of replacing it. I don't want to do it.
I have a 2013 Ram with 238,000 KMs on it it (about 148000 miles). I am dreading the day that I have to replace it. I bought for about 43,000 10 years ago - an equivalent these days is closer to 70,000 Canadian. It gets used to haul around my 4 wheeler and my 5th wheel, but it is also a commuter vehicle into the office. Living up here in the great white north with snow for 6+ months out of the year I'm not sure how well an ebike would work. That one you demoed is pretty impressive though.
I want to get an E-Bike for my 15yo child (5' 6") so that they could meet with friends across town (~12 miles) or ride the 7 miles (both round trip). But when parking at school, what security precautions can be made to keep it "Theift Safe"? Wheels, seats, batteries, and such are stolen off of locked bicycles every day. I just want them to have their Transportation Independence without worry of vandalism or theft... I would also be installing a locking storage container on it for a bike cover for inclement weather/storage.
Mileage doesn't break a vehicle, lack of maintenance does. It's like hours on a tractor. Not driving your truck doesn't "save it", just delays maintenance intervals... Whatever is going to break, will break when it wants to. The only real reason to not drive the truck is to save on fuel costs, whether it be an e-bike, or a 2nd (more fuel efficient) car. That being said, PA's salty roads is probably going to be the reason your truck will "die"... The salt-belt is VERY hard on vehicles, causing many vehicles that run perfectly to be dangerous to drive.
Nice bike. Really have to think that through. Yup, I have a 2021 Ram Hime - safe to drive to the store… but. I am no longer in construction but can’t give up my truck. Bike ~ truck…..
Hey Adam. That e-bike looks fun. I was planning to keep my 2014 Silverado for a long time - but it was recently totaled. And yep, I paid 43k for a lightly used F150 🤦🏻♂️
Great video content as always Adam. I use our Suzuki Bergman 400 scooter which gets on average 59MPG to do everything I can that requires a vehicle. My 2021 Toyota gets horrible gas mileage (16.5 average MPG) and I want it to last forever at vehicle prices. It only has 19K miles in just over 2.5 years most put on due to winter and hauling the new UTV we bought this year. I like this bike idea as a second option but the Bergman is pretty cheap to run and has a huge trunk for groceries.
I loved my e-bike for the last 3 years and putting 2200 miles on it, until I wiped out on the road last week. Now I'm not so sure. Glad I had my helmet on.

The speed of the bike isn't really apparent until I saw your buddy just take off from his driveway, nice
Love the undeniable intro stats on everything but wages exponentially inflated over the years!
Mine does 43.2mph. Spent $1,200.00. & weighs in at 77lbs. Never gets flat tires. Home built is the way to go. saves a ton of cash.
Deats?
A ton of cash. You mean one thousand dollars. Did you compute the time and labor you invested? Time is money.
Driving my 2004 Silverado till the wheels fall off.
When that happens, will rebuild everything.
**Florida truck so No rust 😎👍
Trails and buzzing around property - yes. 2 lane hwy, no way! Be safe & smart Adam
That's an awesome ebike and a great option mode of transportation that will definitely save gas and ultimately save you money...on the added benefit to get you some exercise as well!
Thanks for this helpful video showing what the Wired Freedom can do. I am expecting delivery of mine in the end of January… Can’t wait.
Pond sighting at @ 22 min…during final wrap up! Looks good!!!
It save wear and tear on the truck, saves money on fuel, you get some exercise and it is better for the environment (THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH GOING GREEN!)
Ebikes rock!
Another thing to consider is that trucks have changed and so has the truck market. In the early 90s most folks owned trucks for work or to tow and they had a regular family car. Those markets have consolidated in that folks are more likely to daily drive their trucks and they want the safety and convenience of a family car. This dual use case is part of the increase in $$$
Also, our bureaucrats in letter agencies have mandated so many things it just adds to the cost - whether you want it or not.
It’s not just trucks. Ford mustang GTs cost about $20-22K in 1990. Now they’re right around $50K. Crazy.
I am so happy I saw this video.. I am 6' 6''.. and I ordered this bike, waiting on delivery. Was nervous I would be too tall! I can't wait!
I enjoy your videos. I was recently at my Ford dealer, and I didn’t see any crew cab F150’s for under $60,000.
Yeah that 43,000 number was for a super cab base model
Garmin makes the review camera & I love it. It pings me when a car comes into my Safty zone. The new bikes are a mile faster & better suspension
Absolutely a stunning Wired Freedom’s performance 🔥🔥
That’s pretty cool. My dad graduated from allegheny in ‘77 and played on the basketball team
I bet Neighbor Doug had one on order before you made it back home😂 I’m defiantly getting one of these.
That bike is scary fast.
Just got mine. It was damage but it's fixed now. Wife just got the ford lightning so I know what you're talking about price. Thanks for sharing.
They just keep getting better and better and faster, this is May 18-24 look on the wired site now.😮
I bought my 97 F150 Lariat 4x4 new for 20K (sticker was 25K).
Adam, you need to get Doug to fabricate something for the back to be able to haul some small packages or items that is lightweight and sturdy
Im sure Doug is already in the planning stage
You should buy one for Doug for all the help
I was seriously impressed with the speed you were pulling there Adam - and then I realised I was watching at 1.5x playback speed 🤣🤣🤣
Pretty nice bike. If you use it regularly, it will be interesting to see how durable the unit is overall, including battery life.
I have a different brand ebike and just crossed 500 miles on the odemeter (have had it a bit over a year) , most of those miles also include towing a kid trailer with two kids in it. Battery is still great.
I got one of these coming this month !! So excited
Lol here you are again
That's awesome. You should film random trips on this thing. It's a lot of fun.
That was a very well executed video and I enjoy that bike trail with the nice scenery
I have a similar bike I got the E-Cells 5 star and love it same motor and power just slightly different build to it.
Country roads are cool and this is way funner than the truck anyway
Love the donuts on Doug's driveway. I have a 2002 GMC with 87k paid 19 and the salt on the roads is what will end its life.
Nice ebike. There needs to be a road legal mode of transportation that is smaller than a car but bigger/safer than a bike. Like the side by side. I think all roads that are 45mph or slower should be open to side by sides
I agree with this
We have a 2018 Chevy Silverado 1500 with 6.5 ft box. I use it as a truck about 35% of the time. The bike seems awesome.
Imagine spending 2 grand on an ebike and $10 on a flimsy combination cable lock 😂
It’s enough to keep honest people honest
You need a better lock, sir. That cable lock is a huge sign that your ebike is free for whoever wants it 🤣
Our solution is our Kawasaki Mule.
At about the 14 minute point there was an ad for the Ford 150. They are fighting back.
Lol
you should get mirrors for driving on the road.
They aren't street legal in PA but I wish they were.
I don’t know how the Mini Trucks work. In NJ some are legal and some are not. I know if over 25 years old most vehicles can be imported as DOT and EPA exempt. I used to import classic Mini Coopers and getting titles wasn’t a problem.
Jeep wranglers too, in 2007 you could get one for less than 20 grand.
Real cool Adam! I bought my Ram just as a show turck/grocery getter but mainly to travel. I have used the bed about 9 times since I bought it and it looks great. It's a 2021 Ram Rebel and paid $59900. Love it!
I think the kitty wants to go to work .
I really want to get one for commuting and hunting, i think it would be a great way to reduce my environmental footprint and save a ton of cash, plus it just looks fun!
Delivering wood on that bad boy would be impressive.
Hey Adam the pond looks to be filling up nicely in the last shot.
Same here. 2016 tundra with 120k miles. I'm hoping to get another 5 or 6 years out of it.
Adam, that bike looks like a blast. I am guessing that Doug will have one soon. Stay safe and healthy. Bill H from Cranberry Township
.
Doug's back yard and you are surprised he is mowing, I am guessing he is almost always mowing :-)) Big yard
In 1976 I bought a new F250 351 v8 manual 4x4 for 6000.dollars out the door I made 3.00 a hour.
Great scenery Carter was here 9-8-23
Well to save your truck's longevity you have to save the planet
Good stuff Doug
Hey Adam. That e-bike looks fun. I was planning to keep my 2014 Silverado for a long time - but it was recently totaled. And yep, I paid 43k for a lightly used F150 🤦🏻♂️
Envious of your prices , that F150 here in Australia is about $120,000 no joke .
