Just used this video to tune up my 2007 Taurus. Everything turned out great and now its running like new. Thank you so much for your informative content!
Do you know anything about a misfire when something in the engine gets wet? I get this probably every time it rains hard for a long time (misfiring cylinder). When everything dries out the next day the engine runs fine again. Great video!
I want to find out is it it was easier to get the firewall plugs from the top or on a hoist from underneath (the Montana was easier on a hoist), but when replacing plug wires if you do 1 wire at a time you will never mess up firing order. Learned that 40 years ago as an apprentice and been doing it that way ever since and never made a firing order mistake.
For this car it was easier to go from the top/sides to reach everything. As far as the rear wires go, if you get them right on the ignition coil first you can't mess the back up as the lengths speak for themselves! Its easier to send them all through at once rather than one at a time because of the clips they install on these wires(if you want to keep them that is, you could just not use them)
I don't know off the top of my head where the PCV is located on that vehicle, but it should be pretty easy to trace the vacuum lines to the intake from the valve cover and find it. Also there are other possibilities for setting that code if the MAF replacement didnt fix it you may have other intake/vacuum leaks, an exhaust leak before the 02 sensor, or a fuel injector going bad or even low fuel pressure. Try and research and figure out what the problem is or get it diagnosed by someone with more experience before just throwing parts at it hoping to fix it.
Thanks Jesse, really appreciate the help, and yes don't want spend all the money tracing all the possibilities when and expert might find it faster...have a great day.
Most of the time nowadays we use Iridium spark plugs which are not adjustable and come pre-gapped. Gapping your spark plugs is a thing of the past unless you are working on vsry old stuff.
So I replaced all of my spark plugs and wires and now the car does not turn on before I replaced all the spark plugs I only replaced one spark plug from a different brand and the car was the same thing as before it will turn on but still have same issues so I ended up replacing all the spark plugs and wires any help thanks
The first spark plug I did was not measured like the other five were I bought the other five already pre prepared so already measured could that be an issue?
There are many things that can cause this, dirty throttle body, bad Idle control valve, a sticking fuel injector, a failing coil pack etc. You'll have to check every system and find what is wrong. This tutorial was to show HOW to do the spark plugs but throwing parts at something without confirming what is actually wrong with is is not the right way and gets expensive fast!
You might want to update the title to something like "New Spark Plugs & Wires on a 2003 Ford Taurus Vulcan motor" 😉 None of this applies to a Duratec motor
Allat commentary at the beginning cool and all for ur fan base but please keep that shii short and simple for the ppl in the back with a car that’s bout finna die

MyManDan I cant tell you 100% but spark plug wires OFTEN behave that way when they get wet/it rains!
Your ignition coil more likely have cracks in it

Jesse, where is the pcv valve for a 2002 Ford Focus Wagon 2.0 ohc located? We are getting code P00171. We replaced the Mass Air Flow Sensor.

great job on the camerawork! Have you tried using a feature called autofocus?
What is the GAP on the Spark plug

I also made sure I put the wires in order one at of time
The first spark plug I did was not measured like the other five were I bought the other five already pre prepared so already measured could that be an issue?
would this help with horrible gas millage
What part can I purchase that will make my 2002 ford taurus faster??
Lil EvilNigga a more powerful spark plug actually could help.
Good video , would have been better without the distracting music that played while your were talking.
Get a life.
The only thing that's sucks about this video is he didnt specify his engine type. Ford tarus make about 3 different engines types
i changed spark plugs and wires and it's still idling rough.
